posted a message on Looking for fellow website and plugin developers.

    Hi,
I'm Zaeem Parker, a 16 year old plugin and website developer. I'm looking for fellow website and plugin developers to join me in creating a new group of developers who will work together in fulfilling needs of clients.

Benefits of being part of this group are having the experience of working with other developers as well as not needing to look for clients to work for as I will manage all that. If you are inexperienced with plugin developing then you are still welcome to take part in this opportunity. If you are interested please pop me a request on Skype: zaeem.parker

Hi, I am ZP4RKER, the owner of The Retronix, and upcoming Server Network. I am a developer, but 1 developer isn't really enough for a Network of servers. I am looking for about 5 developers who would like to join a team and work together in making custom plugins for The Retronix. If you are interested please contact me on Skype: zaeem.parker

I am an experienced Website and Plugin developer. I have recently come up with an idea for a new style of gameplay for multiplayer Minecraft, and I wanted to share it with the community of MinecraftForums. I want some feedback on this idea, some more ideas so I can make this project successful, so if you think something should be added or removed please tell me. Anyway, here is my idea.

    Description

The plugin is based of Sid Meier’s ‘Civilization’ game, which is a turn-based strategy game where you start off as a small civilisation and grow, to take over the world. Now to make this plugin work with Minecraft, first of all you would have to remove the turn-based feature. Second, you would have to come up with a way for it to be multiplayer, and not just a few players, an infinite amount of players. So I have come up with a possible solution; players can make civilisations, and other players can join their civilisation as civilians.

Civilians can also have an assigned job and rank in the civilisation, such as a farmer, which would have a fairly easy job, but a not so very high status in the civilisation even though they are vital for a civilisations growth and wellbeing. Another example of a civilian job would be a Chief of Army, which would be an example of a very high status job, as they would be in charge of the soldiers of a civilisation.

Civilisations will also be able to interact with other civilisations in either a neutral, passive or hostile manner, where passive would be two civilisations being allied and work together in times of need. Neutral would just be civilisations trading between each other, whilst hostile would be where two civilisations wage war on each other and battle it out, to sort out their problems. Different civilisations will have different benefits and disadvantages, for example, a pig might be found in civilisation A, but not in civilisation B, but civilisation B might have a lot of coal and civilisation A, may be low on coal, this will force civilisations to trade with each other, as well as civilian jobs being more or less valuable in different civilisations.

The different resources and demand for jobs in different civilisations, will also lead to different task civilians in one civilisation complete compared to a civilian of another civilisation, therefore their skills will develop differently, meaning one civilisation will have stronger close range attack, another will be more swift, and another might be stronger in long range attack. This will lead to different civilisations having different advantages and disadvantages in a time of war.

All new players will have to choose a civilisation at the start, and once they have chosen they will not be able to change after that, unless they are kicked out of the civilisation, when a player is kicked out of a civilisation, they become an outcast. Outcasts will have to work with other outcasts to establish their own civilisation. The outcast civilisation are by default, enemies to all other civilisations, but outcasts will have an advantage of having members of mixed skills, making them less vulnerable to a certain civilisation and their skills.

I am also thinking of making the world custom, to make more islands smaller in the world therefore making more islands in the world, islands will range from small to big. Civilisations will be able to take over other islands, this will give civilisations the ability to expand around the world, making sub-civilisations which will have different skills to another sub-civilisation on another island. Another reason why I want custom islands is because it will make trading more interesting, because islands will have to tell other islands where they are located, civilisation traders will either have to find an island as a trade post or chose one civilisation to go to then they will have to go by boat to the chosen location, but this knowledge of one civilisation knowing where another is located, could lead to one civilisation invading the other. Islands will have to be hard to claim, to ensure that there will be some islands that no civilisation owns.

    Help me out by

Giving me feedback, more ideas and your support!

I was a bit bored today so I did a lot of thinking, and I came with this idea of which I would like to develop and create a server out of. The reason I am posting this idea is because I would like some feedback on this idea, like what to add, what to remove, how things should be done, etc. Please take your time and please try and enjoy reading. Thank You!

    Experience playing minecraft: 4-5 Years

Staff Experience: I was recently head-admin of a server but unfortunately the server owner closed the server unexpectedly so now I am without a server to dedicate time and effort to. I Have been promoted to moderator/head-builder/builder/Admin a number of times of the years. I enjoy being apart of the staff team because not only do I get to enjoy the server just as a normal player would, I also get to help improve it and make it a better experience for everyone who plays on that server. I am very dedicated when I play minecraft servers, I never play on more than one. I usually just have my go-to server that I spend all my online time on. I have also owned servers in the past but I am a little rusty with plugin work!

Builder experience: http://www.planetminecraft.com/project/some-large-homes/ This is a link to my personal builds on single player. I don't have any recent pictures of my builds but I have improved greatly since the times these were taken, I just hope it can give you a general idea of what my skills are and what I could offer to your server!

Builder rate: 8/10 - I give myself this rate because I believe every good builder should know that there is always room for improvement and I wouldnt classify myself as one of the top builders like frontpage PMC posts!

Build style: Modern is my favorite but I can do mostly anything Rustic, Elizabethan, Medieval, etc.

What I offer: I am very creative, all my builds are 1/1 there is nothing like them anywhere else because I do NOT use google to search for inspiration. I just picture something in my head and start doing it.

I am not looking for staff, so I am not sure why you posted a Staff Application here, if you read my post and actually are interested, contact me on Skype.

posted a message on Opportunity to create a successful server!

Hi, I am ZP4RKER, I am a 16 year old boy attending high school in Australia. I am also a Plugin & Website Developer, I have been developing for about 5 years now. I could tell you my story of how I became a developer, and what related events have occurred in the past 5 years but I don't won't to bore the readers, so I'll just get straight to the point.

My Developing Partner, which I started working with just 2 weeks ago, and I both really want to make a custom and unique server, that will be popular and successful, but as you would most likely know, you need a fair amount of money and dedication to make successful server. We both have the dedication and skills to run a successful server, but the only obstacle is money, which we are currently working on getting right now by doing plugins for other servers. We would really like to start the server as soon as possible, and to do that we need someone, who also really wants to make a successful server and has a fair amount of money to fund the server, if you are this person but think you would struggle with making the server successful, then we are for you, we will help you run the server, make it a successful and popular server, and when we have money, we will also start funding the server. Please contact either me or my partner on Skype: zaeem.parker OR modern.creator1

Thank you for reading, and hopefully we will be in touch with you soon!
