Thunderworm, sorry about that. We had many players leaving due to the flat land is boring and unrealistic. So we moved to a new world and resetted everyone's balance so every thing starts fresh.
Seems like it might be a really cool server but admin never responded to any questions and looks very disorganized... Might try again in a few weeks if don't find a better server.

In OwnCraft, every mob that you kill drops money. For example, if you kill a spider it doesn't drop strings, it dops iron ingots. Killing mobs is the first way to make money in OwnCraft. You only need to invest in a sword to start killing mobs and save up.
Once you save up some money, you can buy a crafting bench which will allow you to make tools and armor, that you can sell to other players for more profit. Then you can invest in a wheat farm or an animal farm to profit selling food.
Once you have a decent amount of money saved up, you can buy building blocks and build a nice house and sell it for even more money. Once you become rich you can start buying other properties from other players and own everything in the server!

You come up with your creative method to hustle.
There is also PVP in the game, but is only enabled at night time. During the day, you cannot damage another player. This means, you hustle in the day, and KILL in the night!

You can't lock your chest alone. To make sure no one steals things from ur chest, make sure u put ur chest in a locked house.
To lock ur door, stand in front of it and type:
/res select 2 1 2
and type:
