It's obvious why he made the stacks only 64.
The reason is this: He knew that if he put it to 64 (since it used to be 999 as the limit, I believe?) it would cause at lot of nerds(aka us, who know binary and computer coding and java and blablablah) to have a whole discussion about it.
I bet he's sitting in his chair, right now, reading this, laughing, saying "Ha, I knew it would work. Everybody's all thinking about it. I'm such a genius."
