I get this strange feeling that this thread is going literally nowhere and no one has a clue what they're doing.

This mod is still in the pre-development phase, in which we do all the planning needed to actually start developing. I've been an active Forge mod developer for the last two years, so I believe I know what I'm doing. You're more then welcome to help us out if you have any interest in this mod.

Designs for buildings, for the abandoned Enpire Village. Any maybe I could also work on consepts for other creatures as well.

Yes, please. The more conceptual work we get done, the easier it's going to be to find someone to do the visual design.

Ok hum lets put it simple, i wanna improve the textures of some specific mods i use on my minecraft, nothing else, i wanna do texture packs for mods, not for vanilla minecraft, only for mods

If these specific mods come with texture files it shouldn't be a problem. Follow these steps and you're sorted:

    • Unzip the jar file, to a new folder.
    • Navigate to the "textures" folder and edit the textures.
    • Replace the old textures with edited ones.
    • Repackage the folder into a zip file again.
    • Rename to .jar.

Humm, kinda, lets make an example, i have a mod called Multi Page Chest, its a 1 item mod, when i unzip the json looking for the image or the model of the chest, i see a weird image i guess its a 3d image or something, what i wanna learn is how can i put it back into the json zip folder after i made a better image of the chest, i dont wanna create to be honest, i wanna improve the models, textures, resolutions of the mods i use

Json files are not archive files, thus cannot be opened unzipped. They are essentially text files used by Minecraft to load instructions on how to display an object in-game, and are commonly referred to as model files. Texture files are stored as plain png image files. I don't understand what you want to do, can you be more specific? I though you were looking for a way to add items and blocks with custom textures via code.

posted a message on Modding Minecraft - How to install Forge for Minecraft 1.10.2 (Updated)

Ok, thanks. I though using cool colours would differ from the plain old forum posts you see. Anyway, I wasn't thinking when I said to use the latest forge. And you are right, it is only a install forge guide. I'm gonna edit it. Thanks!

You're welcome, and remember this rule for all future articles you might write:

Less color is more effective. When everything is emphasized, nothing is emphasized.

Can you post aphoto of editing gradle_opts?

To be honest I am not exactly sure how to use it, although I've asked around so I'll see if we can get an answer. In the mean time please run the setupDecompWorkspace task with --stacktrace and post what is shown.

Yes i do, i can draw manually, i have 2 wacoms to work with, i know how to use photoshop, corel draw, clip studio paint, anime studio and others, the problem in my case is about programming, i really dont know how to make these things work, i can draw a swiord for example but how to put it on minecraft, im totally lost

If you're interested in learning how to develop mods for Minecraft, that's a completely different story. I would proudly suggest reading my introduction guide on this quite complex subject: Getting Started with Minecraft Modding. I hope that's going to be helpful in finding your way. Let me know if you need help on any specific subjects, I would be very glad to help.

I really wish people would refrain from saying stuff like "it would be awesome and cool and good!" in these threads. I'm not seeing where the... awesome part comes in. Why would it be so good for us to get blown around while using the elytra? It comes off like nothing more than arbitrary realism and nothing that adds much "fun".

I'm assuming this is just natural wind? This isn't explained very well and I don't like how the GUI for this looks either. I can't see a good reason right now to support this.

I agree with this. This seems like a great realistic feature, and a very good idea for a mod perhaps. However, I don't think it belongs in vanilla Minecraft. If Mojang started adding small interesting features like, pretty soon the game would become so complex and overwhelming that playing it would become a nuisance. Now, adding occasional sounds of wind in high altitude would be a minimalistic feature I would very much like to see, but I digress, this has nothing to do with your idea.

Server to Server packed sending (for multiserver system)

Thread running(resource saving by using 2 or more cores for doing something)

    I really hate configs.

I can not programm (yet) , because i never try it before.

I desided to play World of Warcraft.... and.... i ... and my boyfriend...too.... thats the reason the projekt stopped. ;P

BTW MY ENGLISCH IS WORST EVER.

    I am born in Radebeul(Germany)

From time to time i sreach for a project which trys to bring hard rpg survivel into the game.

But noone can create a big mod alone.

noone can create models and textures and lore and programm and update the threads in the forums alone.

Alright, that sounds great. Does this mean you are willing to work with us on the project as a programmer?

Well I tried but I still failed, by the way my RAM is about 4GB Do you think it will be enough?

From personal experience I can guarantee that 4GB is definitely enough for completing that task. I've had the same issue you're currently having and I solved it by editing the gradle properties file. Here, take a look at this issue and let me know if the solution there solves the problem for you.

sry to say that, but the

    http://warhammerarmiesproject.blogspot.com/?m=1

    is ugly as $§&% ;D?

Do you need a Server or a Webserver?

EDIT I saw only the ugly version of the site. so sorry,... ;3

But any...way..... lets talk about the progress of your Projekt, i dont get it what do you do now?

    What is the Goal?

That is not our website, and I agree, it's pretty ugly.

As for the project stage, for now we're just discussing and planning. Aman is writing the lore, and I am helping out in any way that I can. After we have a decent lore, a believable character and a project roadmap, I will create a GitHub repo that will include a website of this project along with a complete visual design. We can then use this to present the project and gain some attention from the Minecraft community.

You're free to make direct contributions by helping us plan things and make suggestions. Also, do you have any serious experience creating Minecraft landscape and buildings? Having a world creator would be great.

I have alot of free time, like at least 8 hours day, my job is only from 7am to 2pm so i have all the afternoon and night free, id like to learn on how to increase the resolution of items, specially from mods, like texture pack for mods, is there any good tutorial or can someone teach me how to do it?

This post answers your question quite thoroughly. There is no specific tutorial that I am aware of that exists on this topic. To properly increase texture resolutions, you need a lot of manual work in a graphic editing software like Photoshop or Gimp. If you're really interested in this and are ready to put considerable time into it I could show you a quick example of how I would do this for a simple item texture. Do you have some experience in graphic editing?

I also have a question, regarding factions that'll hopfully be implemented. I feel that I shouldn't be talking about this, but what I'm about to say will probably be WAY in the future, but I wanna see what you guys think about it.

To begin, before Games Workshop stopped working on Warhammer Fantasy to begin production on Age of Sigmar, there were a number of lesser factions that were either forgotten or abandoned by GW. The huge fan base became so enraged after GW discontinued Warhammer Fantasy that they decided to continue it in the form of a non-prophet project. In this project, not only did the fan base expand upon the army books of the major factions, they also expanded upon the lesser factions as well, adding unique lore and new units.

This is the website that started (and is still continuing) the project: http://warhammerarmiesproject.blogspot.com/?m=1

My question is that, if we begin developing and actually implementing factions from Warhammer Fantasy, would it be copyright if we implement lesser factions that were cannon to Warhammer lore, but were expanded upon by the fan base?

Why would it break copyrights if we used these factions in a non-profit video-game project? I believe that only after we starter making profit and gained a lot of popularity (compared to major products like Warhammer itself) would copyrights even become a potential issue.
