We know that the defining aspect of minecraft, physically not philosophically (As in creativity), is the cube/cuboid look of it. But consider the direction it is heading in. If you look at a cow in minecraft it has such a bad detail in shape that it looks nothing like cows. Fast-forward a few years later and you end up with a newer mob, the polar bear, which with a tiny bit of smoothing, becomes just like polar bears in real life. But here is the million dollar question, does this even matter? So long as they keep the body of the shape of mobs at a 90 degree angle at every vertice does it matter if they become more detailed.
I won't deny that even classic mobs like chickens have block details on them but, if you take a look at how small the body cuboids get down to for detail, it seems quite different.
So, to summarize it all up-
So long as mobs are made up of cubes, does it matter if the number of cubes increases to add detail and is minecraft heading in this direction???
