posted a message on Is minecraft becoming less cubic?

We know that the defining aspect of minecraft, physically not philosophically (As in creativity), is the cube/cuboid look of it. But consider the direction it is heading in. If you look at a cow in minecraft it has such a bad detail in shape that it looks nothing like cows. Fast-forward a few years later and you end up with a newer mob, the polar bear, which with a tiny bit of smoothing, becomes just like polar bears in real life. But here is the million dollar question, does this even matter? So long as they keep the body of the shape of mobs at a 90 degree angle at every vertice does it matter if they become more detailed.

I won't deny that even classic mobs like chickens have block details on them but, if you take a look at how small the body cuboids get down to for detail, it seems quite different.

So, to summarize it all up-

So long as mobs are made up of cubes, does it matter if the number of cubes increases to add detail and is minecraft heading in this direction???

posted a message on How to prevent people from copying your maps and passsing them off as their own (if they posted first)

This would be reeeeeaaaally embarrassing if someone thought of this before me...

This trick I realised just now and should work. If forever reason your map was copied by someone else before you uploaded it or for whatever reason you cannot prove that a map is yours by saying the fact that your map was uploaded first you can do what I like to call tagging.

Tagging is where a map creator picks any random co-ordinate in their map and places a random block in that place. When the fraud happens, you can ask them where your tag is and they would not know but you would. The moderator can then check the validity of the tag and then delete the frauded thread.

Of course if everyone knew about this then the fraud could fraud tags and yes, I just realised this now too. If you can resolve this in the reply section- thank you

posted a message on Better hotbar and building mod

The idea makes finding and switching between items easier to do.

Multi blocks- Blocks with multi-colours wood type etc will be one block in the creative menu. When scrolled over a kind of hotbar will appear above it with the different types of that block. This minimizes scrolling down looking through a ton of blocks.

Hotbar saving- Whilst you can save hotbars with commands it would be nice if you could just press h & 1 to open hotbar 1 and h & 2 for hotbar 2.

Drop-down menu on a hotbar- Pressing the scroll wheel when holding a multi-block would open its dropdoun menu and you can scroll through it with the scroll wheel. Pressing the scroll wheel again would close the dropdown menu and replace the block you were holding with the one that you scrolled onto in the dropdown menu.

Settings stuff- changing the rate at which you can place blocks at a faster rate and allows you to sprint backwards.

posted a message on How we can add in structures without the need of creating a new world

OK. Here is what I mean. When a new structure gets added in we usually have to create a new world to get it. This mechanic stops that from happening. So let's say you have a house in an dark oak forest. The mansion, if this mechanic existed when it came and if it was to naturally spawn where your house was, would spawn away from your house

posted a message on How we can add in structures without the need of creating a new world

How to add new structures without changing the world generation. Easy- let's say the new structure is a chunk big or 2x1 or 3x2 etc. All you need to do is set up this process.

1.Check if chunk has non-organic block in it.

2.If so, shift structure it either north east south or west. Go back to 1

    3. If not, set structure

    Uhh..?

Still. It's not that big a deal but people will still probably not keep checking back to see if there's more content.

Your definition doesn't have much to do with reloading - rather drawing the bow. "Reloading" doesn't make much sense there.

    1.you did.

2.the insertion of the next arrow is instant. What would you rather me call it- drawing?

Please, don't do the "I'll add more when supports = more" thing. It's absolutely senseless and you should give out all your ideas from the start so you get a higher chance of support. We're not gonna check back on a thread that should have content from the start...

Flame 2 could end up burning more than you really want, and doesn't sound that helpful. It could ignite more mobs, but this could spread in ways you might not want. I don't get Reload. Speed is alright.

This could risk killing a mob you didn't want to if many mobs are bunched together.

No. Want really waiting for support. Was actually waiting for more ideas. There may be some in my noggin up here

    In the title.

Speed - Makes the arrows go faster. Don't you hate it when mobs move out the way before they are hit. Also improved bow underwater.

Flame 2 - As well as lighting mobs on fire, it lights blocks on fire.

Reload - Well, I think this may be frequently requested, but I don't know know so, oh well. (Speeds up your arrow stretch)

More soon - this enchantment convinces me to add more to this thread when I run out of arrows. I got a bit of hate from this. This is for when I get an idea. I have nothing hidden from you

posted a message on Lasting enchantment

I think i know what is wrong... You know how items just disappear if they are left on the ground. That is because they register as mods and disappearing is called despawning. This enchantment stops that from happening and it is useful if you die. You have time to get back your items or if on let's say a pickaxe, all items broken with it will not respawn until collected. Comprendo? I'm surprised you don't know what despawning is.

posted a message on Lasting enchantment

An enchantment rarer than mending that stops items with it to not despawn.

    Or

An enchantment that, whichever block it breaks will not despawn until collected.

For people who do not understand. Items, if left on the ground, will disappear or despawn after 5 minutes.

posted a message on How to change redstone for cross-platform to Minecraft PC and PE

I posted this on the MCPE forum but I figured it belonged here too:

Hi. I'm new. I just want to say a few changes we can add to redstone to introduce platform between MCPE and PC because I know this is often wanted:

BUD's: The most well known difference between MCPE and PC is BUDs. The way we can change it on both platforms is by what I call a BUD piston. Pistons on PC will be normal and a BUD piston will be entered with all the effects pistons have now.

Pistons on one tick: If a sticky is powered on and off quickly in PC it will either push a block out or pull it in. But not both. I say we should keep it and move it over from a normal piston to a BUD piston.

Chests and Pistons: I know. A lot of pistons but TBH it is a good thing having chests and hoppers as movable blocks so that should be changed in PC

Observers: Observers in PC see more things than PE and that should be added but the important thing is that it has hard powering. It really should have that.

Piston update: pistons actually have a relation of 2 ticks between each other. For example. The delays of a 2x piston extender is 2,4,0 in PC, 4,8,0 in PE. This should both be changed so they have a one tick difference of 1,2,0.
