I really love better HUD. It's really useful but I don't like forge because is pretty resource demanding besides incompatibility with optifine(everyone says forge and optifine are compatible but they really are not, the fact that forge loads optifine without errors doesn't mean they are compatible).
Of course optifine loads but minecraft doesn't perform as if it has optifine working, what is more it's better to put optifine out of mods folder because you get better stability.
So... finally the big question: are you doing a liteloader version?
I would really appreciate a liteloader version. Thank you.
HI, i recently reinstalled minecraft and optifine with this newer version 1.8.1.
My new built has an ati video card, an ati radeon r9 290x and now when i try to modify some settings like Anti aliasing or anisotropic filtering, load far and other settings they just can't be changed. When i click the option it remains the same without any change. I mean it says Antialiasing: off, then i click and nothing happens. Any ideas???? How to modify theese settings? i want to change basically load far to"ON"
Hey guys!, I found how to fix this,if someone is having the same freaking problem or at least something similar this may work for you too:
I'm sure this will work for the ones that noticed they were using a strange skin (a kind of gray zombie with red eyes)
You must go to the minecraft official website, then choose the profile tab. Right there reset your password and pick the default skin(used as an example in the profile section and with a .png extension)
Although is obvious there is a kind of bug inside the account system, this worked for me so... try it
Hi! I'm asking for help here just because a really annoying account problem is freaking me out.
Every time I try to log in either the official minecraft website or in minecraft (game), I just get the "login failed" message and after this I'm forced to reset my password again and again to exactly the same password I had before... and I say again and again because it happens daily, sometimes in the same day at a different time.
you see the problem?, It's not I had forgotten the password but an error inside the system or something.
It's a stupid and really annoying thing... so fix it please.
i recently got a gamepaddle (controller)from logitech online and was wondering if it was possible to configure a game controller to MC. It seems you cant set a mouse to an analog stick but i was wodnering if someone new how or could help?
Actually minecraft don't have support for joysticks but...
There are two programs, one that emulates keyboards in joysticks (JoyToKey) and other that emulates a mouse in joysticks (Joystick-To-Mouse)
Chunk updates are not the same thing as loading/generating chunks. Updates happen when there's redstone circuitry in operation, or when water/lava physics need to be run, or trees/plants growing etc.
You can't stop it from happening without breaking the game :smile.gif:
What you say could be possible but why is this happening now and not before?
I mean in older versions (like 1.7) when i stood still there were not chunk updates (Defrag mode = 0 chunk updates)
How can this be explained? There must be a solution
Hi, my problem is that minecraft keeps updating between 35-45 chunks even if I stand still. I mean is stupid to update chunks when it is totally unnecesary. Before these newest versions of minecraft when I stood still there were not chunk updates.
You could probably say... ¿What's the problem with it?
Well... when minecraft keeps updating chunks my fps keep low. Just like that.

Any ideas?
I guess it has something to do with java allocated memory but I'm not sure about it and i don't really know how to give it more memory.

Maybe these programs can help you.

This problem seems to be only in singleplayer

Minecraft always updating chunks = Minecraft always running at 30 fps
My theory for this problem is that water is always moving so the texture is always updating otherwise I don't have idea.
My specs are:
Minecraft settings: Maxed out.
S.O: Windows xp
Ram: 4 gb DDR2 800 mhz
Gpu: Geforce 9800gtx+
Cpu: Intel core 2 duo E4500 2.20 GHZ
I know I have a bottleneck because of my processor but I think this is enought to play minecraft.
