This thread has been quiet today. I think what we need is a...

    COMMUNITY QUESTION!!
What is your preferred monument item? As in, wool or records, or even something else.

    and...
There's also a new video of Legendary out. It's by me. Yeah.

Go try "The Outskirts of sanity" it is well... not to good. The areas are all really short and simple... Really simple.

I think I'll try that. I need something simpler. Playing Legendary is already driving me insane, and I just started it up yesterday after a seven month break.

..I think we had too many Community Questions, but still:

    Another Community Question:
What do you think about CTMs with adventure map aspects like no breaking blocks?

I think CTM maps with no block breaking should be labeled as Adventure/CTM hybrids. That seems like a good compromise.

Eh, Zisteau's videos are so much better though. Everything about Vechs' commentary is cringeworthy on so many levels. What with the fake laughs and giggles and the fact that he tries way too hard to be "derpy" and funny.

You're right. But I do think they made an adorable team.

Hey guys, what is going on. I've been gone for a few months, and I need some suggestions on what CTM maps to play... although I don't want a really good CTM, or even mediocre, I want something that is really bad. I'm not much into the maps that take "commitment" and "effort". And I don't want something that's good, but relatively easy either. I want something that is truly terrible to play. I know this seems like a peculiar request, but that's the CTM's that I still enjoy playing. If you have any recommendations it would be much appreciated.

    -Sincerely
    Collin K (A.K.A. Chiefwigggy)

I completely understand where you're coming from. Sometimes disastrous maps can be a lot of fun to play, either because it's so bad it's hilarious, or because the map creator didn't put any effort into so you don't have to while playing it.

May I suggest a large amount of bats spawning as you walk past, just to add to the glorious terror of that place?

And don't forget the invisible skeletons riding on their backs. Though, that may be going a little too far.

    Incredible! :D Thank you!

What's your plan for it? Is the whole thing going to be a giant dungeon?

Fang, remember that big spider robot statue thing you got permission to use in this map? Do you know where I can find a picture of it? I'd like to refresh my memory of it's awesomeness.

So, I started up my Super Hostile: Legendary series again, if anyone's interested.
This episode is in 240p for some reason. I'll try to get that fixed for the next episode.

I second that. It was just so poorly designed.

The worst part is that Zisteau beat it with no problem. How does he always do that?

That screenshot... wow. This map is going to be a classic, I can already tell.
But then again, that's what we said about Inferno Mines. Don't you disappoint me.

    Community Question:
    (Yes, another one.)

What area or section in a CTM map frustrated you the most?

For me, it has to be Eternal Battle in Inferno Mines. Not cool, Vechs. Not cool. :(

    COMMUNITY QUESTION TIME!
How did you first learn about CTM maps? What were your first impressions? What drew you to them?

Thank you for posing this question, yelkca. You are a treasure.

I first learned about CTM maps before I had the game, and before CTM maps. You see, I was all excited and obsessed about this game I had just discovered called Minecraft. So I looked at the forums. And I looked at the maps section, and at the top was a series called "Vechs' Super Hostile". It was (at the time) composed of three survival maps. I latched on to Infernal Sky in particular, deciding that when I got the game (as in, convinced my parents to buy it for me :P) I would play this "Super Hostile" series.

By the time I got the game, Kaizo was out. The map description said "Linear Branching". I was naturally horrified. "Linear!? In my Minecraft?". I'm not quite sure how much time passed during all of this, but eventually I realized that Vechs had added wool into his earlier survival maps. I thought it was kind of nice that there was some sort of objective, but I figured I would probably avoid it and just survive. There was only one problem: I didn't know how to install maps.

And then I learned how to. Yeah. I can't quite remember my path to CTMness, to be honest. I have a theory that it might have been through Zisteau, but I don't know. After a long time, and having tried and ragequit every Vechs map, I came back to the series to chat with everyone about our anticipation of Inferno Mines. And I've been chatting ever since. Now wasn't that a nice story?

So I know it isn't an entire page (technically) since the last community question, but since people have stopped answering it (and it was just asked to liven up the thread) I've decided that it's not going to be any sort of bad thing if I ask this now.

    Community question:
What sort of area is your favorite to make? By this I not only mean jungle, lava caverns, fortress of doom, etc but also with gameplay, loot (how much loot is given out and what kind), difficulty, basically all the things that define an area (and by this I mean EVERYTHING).

Well this is a coincidence if I've ever seen one... we both posted a community question at the exact same time. This will be interesting.

17 minutes difference = exact same time? :P

But anyway, as a response to your question, I enjoy making large, above-ground environments. Like the giant desert I'm working on.
