Well, after looking at the contents of the download, I decided to give this mod a chance. First off, even though it's not entirely obvious, I believe when it says universal it means FML. What I ended up doing to try to install this was first, I just emptied the contents into the jar file. Minecraft didn't crash, but the mod wasn't recongnised (after looking through tmi). The second thing I did was install Risugami's Mod Loader and installed it that way. Still nothing. So than I installed FML and got a crash, with the crash report implying Ultimod was to blame. So what I concluded from this is this mod is not updated, and i have no idea what version of minecraft it is for. I would love to give this mod a chance and maybe post some screenshots, but you really got to ask you friend for more information.

I noticed anything with infinate durablilty can't be enchanted. Is this by design, or is it a bug?

I seem to have a wierd bug where dusts aren't named so i can't craft alloys. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Edit: Seems to only effect iron and gold.

I didn't mention this before, but really nice job getting your items to be enchantable!

I know you are probably very busy with the mod already, but could you make it forge compatible? It adds a lot of new items, and with all the mods i have installed already, i run out of sprite indices. I would really like to be able to run your mod with my current loadout, so if you get the time that would be great!

Seems like a cool mod and you seem to know your way around coding. But if you're going to make the tools/armor better than diamond, there needs to be more steps to the process. Just look at the industrial-craft mod! You go from coal to coal dust to coal ball to compressed coal ball to coal chunk and than finally a diamond. In all, 5 steps. You of course don't have to make it this complicated but it's just something to think about.
Also, im pretty sure mcforge will do what you want.

When i try to go through the portal, it just goes to saving chunks and crashes. I would post an error report, but it only shows it for about 1/100 of a second.
Any ideas?

I got the error when i had forge installed. Did not install forge and now it works fine. :biggrin.gif:

I seem to have a glitch where if i try to hit a block with anything other than my fist, the game goes to the saving chunks screen and crashes. Any ideas on why this might be happening?

Wow... this is really ambitious. I really hope you pull this off, because it will be the greatest mod of all time if you do.
I haven't read all the posts, so i don't know if this has been suggested or not, but some fallout style mobs would be really cool.

I cant mine any of the ores. I have tried reinstalling the mod, but it doesn't fix it. The only thing i can seem to mine is grass stone.
my current mod list is
Humans+
wild grass
more creeps and weirdos
more ores
too many items
walled city

any help would be appreciated!

So Dethril, is there any way you could make a version that is tool utilies compatible? I really want to be able to run more trees and coral reef as well...
to you if you can do this.

So i have the problem where when i try to collect one of your blocks, it doesn't give the resource, it just gets destroyed. Any reason this might be happening? I am using a diamond pick.
