    Most people won't do 1 on 1 teaching. Instead, you are better off trying stuff out, then bringing any non-working code to us! I for one would be glad to help out, just not tutor you 1 on 1.

    Hey guys,

    I have been doing a lot of brainstorming, trying to think of a big mod to make. I came up with this. I haven't started anything yet (Which is why this is a proof of concept), but I have some ideas.

    Preliminary Outline:

    As this outline gives 32000 possibilities, I have decided to remove the magical upgrades and the emerald shaft. I am leaving them here, as I may add them back in once the mod is released officially (Most likely not). Without them, there are only 4000 possibilities, which is much more doable.

    Basic Idea:
    Variation of cores, shafts, tips, and a magical upgrade to make new staves

    Basic - Gives no bonus to the staff, cheap to make
    +Attack - Gives bonus attack
    +Durability - Gives bonus durability
    +Range - Gives bonus range
    +Accuracy - Gives bonus accuracy

    Shafts (Shafts add more attack, durability, range, and accuracy going down the list):

    Fire - Shoots fireballs
    Lightning - Shoots lightning
    Magic - Shoots a stream of pure magical energy
    Explosive - Creates an explosion where you shoot

    Magical Upgrades:
    2 Cores - Allows you to add 2 cores to the staff
    Enchantable - Allows you to enchant the staff

    I would like to have 4 or 5 different staff components that can be mixed to make tons of new staffs. Some basic calculations of stuff I thought up on the spot would bring the total number of different staves to around 2000. The outline above actually comes out to 32000, so I will have to cut back on it. What do you think though? What should I remove?

    First, has this been made before? Someone I pitched the idea to expressed concern about copying Ars Magica. I have never used this mod, but from what I gather, there is much less customization with the staves in Ars Magica.

    The different components I am think of are maybe different tips (Lightning, fire, etc.), different shafts (wood, iron, diamond, etc.) and different "Cores" to give the staff certain bonuses (Maybe like range, power, etc).

    What do you guys think? If there aren't any existing mods similar to this, I will most likely go ahead and make a more detailed outline of the mod, and some preliminary coding!

    Also, if I do make this mod, I will need someone to do the textures. Any takers? There won't be payment involved, but I will give credit where credit is due.

    Hey guys!

    Check out my brand new mod, Spawn Eggs Plus! It is not 100% completed yet, but it's far enough along to release an official version! At the moment, the mod simply adds ores for each monster egg in the game! Each ore drops a specific spawn egg (zombie egg ore drops zombie egg, creeper egg ore drops creeper egg, etc.).

    As I may have missed something, please report any bugs here! If it is a crash, please include the crash report. Otherwise, please provide enough information so that I can find and fix it! If possible, please also include how to replicate it!

    Have ideas for the next version? Post them here! I would love to hear your ideas, as well as your feedback on existing parts of the mod!

    What it adds:

    - Ores For Each Vanilla Egg!

    - Ores And Eggs For Iron And Snow Golems!

    - Ore And Egg For Giants, Withers, And Ender Dragons!

    - World Generation For Each Ore!

    How to install the Mod:

    1.) Download and install Forge
    2.) Download the Mod files and extract them (for example with 7zip)
    3.) Open your minecraft.jar (Start -> %appdata% -> Enter -> ".minecraft" folder
    -> "bin" folder -> minecraft.jar)
    4.) Drag & drop all files + folders that belong there into your minecraft.jar
    5.) Open the folder .minecraft -> mods
    6.) Copy the .zip that belongs there into the "mods" folder
    7.) Run Minecraft!

    That aside, while planes are excellent, this really, in my opinion isn't something that should be implemented.

    I was recently searching around for a mod that allows for the creation of more beds, but I have come up unsuccessful.

    Do you guys think this is something I should code?

    I was thinking:
    All wool colors(obviously)
    Maybe multicolored beds
    Ore beds(iron ore, diamond ore, etc.)
    Ore Block beds(diamond block, iron block, etc)

    Just a thought.. I will probably start with the basic coding now, and continue if I get some support for it.

    posted a message on All my redstone broke
    So, I started up a new world, with the hopes of making it very redstone-intensive.. However, after building a little, all of my redstone broke. Anyone know why? I had just switched into X-ray before it happened, if that makes a difference. Luckily, I hadn't built much, but I don't want this to happen again once I have more set up.
