    Devblog 1 - 1/19/2024

    A month later and some progress has been made! All of the major mechanics for the server release are done! I just need to populate the server with said mechanics now, this includes things like heli crash site locations, map marker locations loot zones and a lot more. I have also created the server spawn which I'm really happy about! After that the server will be completed for launch, and after some time online the plugin will be released a month or so after!

    It has been many many years. I've decided to give FALLZ its last hoora! The server will be back up soon and it will be completely reworked from scratch. Why am I trying again? I often ask myself this. The genre of zombie survival servers is fairly dead and way over done in the server atmosphere. In a time dominated by mini game servers and little success for other types of servers why try? Well I'm not making this for success. I honestly could care less if it sinks or floats. I'm making this with the intention that it likely wont make it like the countless other servers. However I've worked on Fallout Dead State way way back to my childhood. I was shaped by the Fallout game series, I still love fallout so much even to this day. I've always come back to FALLZ over the years, i spent so much time working on it as a kid and even into some of my adult years. This time though I want to immortalize FALLZ. I will not only be launching a server soon, but a plugin hand coded by myself will also be available for download to do everything this server does in one neat package. If the server finds success thats awesome but really I want to allow FALLZ to make it without me or anyone in particular. Making it possible to run your own server using FALLZ as its main plugin, its my best shot at making something I have worked on so much over the years last longer then I could ever imagine. Maybe some big server will pick it up and run with it, maybe no one will. But at the very least I can put it out there and let anyone who might want to experience it for themselves again even just for nostalgia. Personally this will give me peace of mind on my project. You awake in a vault, completely throwing you off track, but that's what I want, you as a stranger even to yourself, have no memory. But the note in your hand. Gives you an idea of who you are, but this story will be about finding out who you really are, now no I'm not making the story line similar to "Vegas".     Latest Update (7/1/2016) - The server is out! And the IP is listed!

    1. S.P.E.C.I.A.L RPG, custom coded RPG plugin which is fallout based!

    2. A fallout wasteland, a custom fallout map! Made by use!

    3. Stealth, avoid mobs by using custom mechanics.

    4. Weight, items have weights now!

    5. Radiation, the world is a radiated place be careful!

    6. Base Building, a unique base building experience never seen before!

    7. Loot, the map is filled with loot. You can find the best up north!

    8. Custom guns, with sounds and high res textures!

    9. Survival, leg breaking, bleeding and zombie infection!

    10. Stamina, you can't sprint forever!

    11. Hazmat suites required for radiated areas!

    12. Perks, abilities like ledge grabbing, thick skin and etc!

    13. Raiding, a unique raiding system that changes every week!

    14. Mobs are stronger the further from spawn!

    Features Added (In Depth, Mentioned in Daily Posts)

    Economy, as of right now players can buy and sell items from the east and north market place. However only one of the markets will offer two of these categories, food, guns, ammo or medical items. Meaning you will need to go to certain places to sell and buy items. The market is completely dependent on your Charisma skill. Having a high charisma means you can sell for more and buy for less.

    Stealth, players can play stealthily to avoid mobs. Mobs can't tell if your a human from a mile away, they have to "tell" if your a player. Crouching makes it very difficult for mobs to tell if your zombie as they can't see you as well if your hiding. Being in dark areas will hide you better from zombies, being in the broad day light makes you visible from much farther and sprinting makes you visible for miles. There are tons of factors that help you decide how to play. Having a broken leg or bleeding will cause you to make more noise and thus makes it easier for zombies to know if your a human. Being infected actually completely throws zombies off, they don't want to eat other zombies. Which you will soon become. Storms, rain and etc also play a factor in this. There will be times where you can walk right in front of zombies and they won't be able to tell if your a human or not. But these will RARELY happen. The main thing to note is crouching is good, darkness is good.

    Base Building / Raiding, players can build a base from any block they find in the game. Players will need to power there bases with literal energy sources like windmills, solar panels and etc. Player's bases become protected when they have a base shield added to it. There are dozens of devices that you can use to customize your base, and in the end automate resource production. Imagine Industrial Craft. That's the scale the devices will have given the time. Raiding bases has a balanced system set in place. Or so we think. There are 4 tiers of blocks. The 4th tier being breakable only during select days in the month so make sure to be on for those days! Every week the raider intensity increases by 1. Every raider intensity integer represents the Tier's of blocks that can be broken. Raider intensity starts at 0, so for the first week of every month the bases are invulnerable. Players must be online to have their bases raided, however after a week this protection is disabled, so it's as if your online. Note: logging off the server leaves your base up for raiding for 5 minutes. This time may change. This will prevent people from simply logging out before a raid or during one. Players will only be able to place explosives that are the same level or less then the current raider intensity. So at intensity 3 players can place Tier 3 Explosives, which can break tier 3 player blocks. Note: Players can only break / explode other player blocks. Players can never break map blocks, and can never explode them. So some clever players might build their base to look like part of the map ;) There is to much to cover in this section, so feel free to read the spoiler below.

    Building System Information (New Building System)

    The new base building system is being broken into multiple parts. Since it is such a large topic and there is so much to cover it will make it easier for us all!

    Section 1: Where Can I Build and How?

    Players can build anywhere that isn't a protected location! Note this does not mean you will not be able to build in towns, or cool areas, it just means most areas will be off limits like amazing military areas and etc. You can expect to build very close to major cities, within view distance. You will be able to place ANY block you find. However you can only break block's that are placed by you or someone else.

    Section 2: How can I protect my base? And how can I raid Others!

    As of right now you can power a base shield which protects an area around the chest from other players. This does not protect itself and other devices. Raiding other bases is currently undecided. I am leaning more towards using C4 to blow up player places blocks. In an area of 1x2. But this is not currently a feature. Breaking a bases Shield Block is the ultimate way to raid it, this will always be true.

    Section 3: How can I power devices I find? What kind of power options are there?

    Currently we have six power generation options.

    Solar Generation requires it to be day, it generates the most power during mid day.

    Wind Generation requires a turbine to be constructed behind it, and it works best at higher altitudes.

    Hydro Generation requires a water pump connection, it produces a low but constant power supply.

    Combustion Generation requires items that can be burned, produces high constant power supply at the expense of items.

    Steam Generation requires items that can be burned and a water pump connection, produces high constant power supply at the expense of items.

    Oil Generation requires an Oil Tank Connection a Pump Jack connection and it must be in an oil field. This produces an extremely high power output, however it has many steps to setup and it is not a infinite source of power. You must also plan your base location with this resource in mind as finding an oil field may be difficult.

    Section 4: Where can I get devices from? How many is there? How do I use them!

    You will find devices from loot locations like industrial spawns, you can also create them with a high enough intelligence. Devices have a requirement that must be met in order to be functional. You can tell if a device is functional by checking its device information item inside it's container. For example if a Wind Generator isn't functional checking the turbine behind it for missing blocks is how it would not be functional, replacing the blocks would immediately make the device display functional again. Any device that is intractable will have inside it describing how to use it if its functional. It's a lot in words but in the game its very easy to master with no learning curve.

    There are currently 4 devices (not device generators),

    Oil Tank Device, a device that stores oil, oil stored is viewed by oil buckets!

    Pump Jack Device, pumps oil from an oil field, oil is sent to a Oil Tank Device.

    Base Loader Device, keeps chunks in a 3x3 area around it loaded.

    Base Shield Device, a device that protects your base from unauthorized players.

    Devices have not been fully fleshed out yet, the devices currently implemented are devices that are essential to a building system of this nature, the next update is going to implement devices that do extra things which will increase game play and increase quality of life in the game.

    SPECIAL RPG, players now have seven base attributes. Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility and Luck. These all control certain aspects of your game player. With these attributes comes perks! Players can unlock perks just like in Fallout! Some perks require a certain amount of special stats. For example Lead Belly require 7 endurance and 10 strength. (Not actual requirements) And these perks will influence game play to a great extent and are really the center piece of the FMFALLZ RPG system. The RPG system can influence EVERYTHING listed below this section. This system will allow players to really develop the character they want to play, while still providing a decent challenge.

    There are currently 30 perks!

    Medical items, bleeding, infection, and leg breaking are now in the plugin. With the new RPG system coming these will all be influenced by your luck skill. :) Having a higher luck means you will not get infected as much, bleed as much and having the chance to not break your leg!

    NEW STAMINA SYSTEM: Players will now have a stamina level. The maximum level is 100. When you hit 75% stamina your player gets slowness 3. Representing you has becoming fatigued. How does your stamina increase sprinting, climbing ladders, attacking mobs and jumping all contribute to your stamina. Those slow zombies aren't so slow now. In the RPG system you will be able to level up your agility and endurance to reduce the stamina you use when performing any of the mentioned actions. This is a huge addition to the survival aspect and will change the FALL genre forever.

    THIRST, thirst has had some major changes. Players have 20 levels of thirst. Represented by the level number. As time goes by it decreases. Drinking certain types of drinks restores SOME of your thirst. Better drinks restore more thirst. :) Players also can collect rain water by right clicking an empty bottle in their hand when it's raining! You can also drink directly from water by right clicking the block. Beware, drinking water directly and drinking rain water or water from any water source will give you

    Radiation. Radiation slowly goes up as you encounter radioactive events. Like drinking radiated water (obtained from filling a water bottle from a water source or from the rain) or walking in snow or water. Which are highly radioactive. When player go over 60% radiation they begin to take damage from radiation. Players also can get more and more radiation effects as they get a higher radiation level. These effects don't just apply over time like the damage radiation does. Every time the damage occurs, players roll a 100 sided die. If they roll a 60 or higher they experience the effects of their current radiation level. Later on CLASSES will have a Luck skill, which will add to your die roll amount. Decreasing your chance of that effect from applying. This will be used in the LUCK skill later on in many other things like bleeding, infection rate, fall damage, leg breaking and more. Wearing a full hazmat suite completely removes environmental radiation. Having 3,2 or 1 piece of the hazmat armor reduces radiation gain. The more you wear the less you take. Radaway also removes 50 radiation now instead of removing it completely.

    Weight, weight has had a MASSIVE rework. Players weights update during appropriate times. This is a small change, but big for new players. Carrying more items increases your weight. All item's have their own weight. Weight is represented by your EXP bar. Player carrying very little, like new players get a speed buff. Players carrying an average amount have no buff or debuff. Players carrying to much will have slowness. The biggest change to weight is for the first time, you can see what any item weights right from your inventory! Yay! It will always be the second or first line of the item lore! It also will automatically update when weight changes.

    MOD HAND BOOK (Read this before you apply)

    Welcome to the mod hand book, here you can find information for any situation you may run into on the server. If you need help and are confused on what to do even after reviewing the mod handbook it is fine to ask other team members for help! As a mod it is your job is to help all players in chat, you are not required to help people in the world itself as it could get you killed. You as a moderator should act as security for the server. The following sections are server definitions of some key terms and how to handle the situation.

    Spamming, the repetition of words, phrases or relates to a similar subject in a repetitive manner. When a player spams make sure to proceed with a standard warning to inform the user to stop his or her actions or it will be punishable the next time they repeat the action. If they ignore the warning you can then proceed to mute the user using /mute. After you unmute them and they continue to spam you then may ban the user. When you ban a user make sure to follow the guidelines for banning a user.

    When a user is suspected of hacking by two or more players and by a other moderator the user is subject to a temporary ban. Make sure to take note of the users claiming a user to be hacking, if there is two users who are friends claiming a another user to be hacking then make sure to count them as one user. If you are unsure no action is needed to be taken. However you can leave a message on the forums here expressing your concerns.

    As it is your duty to ban users you must not be afraid to ban normal users and donor's alike. If a donor is suspected of hacking or spamming they can sill be banned. However when you ban, mute or kick one of these users make sure you are near positive in doing so. We don't want our donors thinking they are the same as normal users.

    Anytime you ban, kick, temp ban or mute another user you MUST report it to the forum. You must state why you performed your action and what happened. This is vital, because if the user rights a ban appeal they can be unbanned if they have sufficient evidence.

    FALLZ is a Fallout and DayZ survival server mixed into one server. Scavenge, survive and die. This server sometimes, but mostly a cruel world. Players will need a lot of luck in order to survive, even the strength of Grognok isn't enough at time to survive. Good Luck.

    1. Zombies, the zombies are tougher, stronger and will kill you. 2. Explore a vast fallout styled map. There is near a hundred places to explore. 3. Loot locations for specific types of gear just like DayZ. 4. Find heli crash sites, just like DayZ 5. Find power armor in heli crash sites. 6. Guns, we have custom guns that do damage based on distance. 7. Survival, thirst, hunger and sleep are a constant enemy. 8. Classes, pick a class that fits your survival style. All with their own advantages. 9. Events, participate in event that spawn rare gear, players will fight to death over this gear. 10. Travel north for better gear, use buttons to gain access to rare gear. 11. Sell items you loot at one of the market places to gain caps. 12. Buy items at the markets to help your survival. 13. Custom crafting, craft morphine, radiations suites and more. 14. Craft guns, collect gun parts to craft guns. 15. Repairing equipment now costs money at a market place. 16. Find a chest in industrial locations and store your gear inside it. 17. Use a lock to protect your chest, you can buy a decent luck but you'll need to find the best. 18. Use lockpicks to pick locks, you'll need a higher rank to lock pick strong locks. 19. Ranks, upgrade your rank at the east market place. 20. Higher ranks reduce price for tping between markets, a special tag, better respawn kits and respawn choices. 21. Apartments, exchange caps every day for a safe storage system. Make sure to pay in advance. 22. Use medical items like morphine, bandages, antibiotics and RadX to enhance your survival. And your short life. 23. Zombies are indigenous. They wont despawn, more people. Means more zombies. 24. Players can find companions likes dogs and horses. 25. Zombies will open doors to get to you. 26. Players will kill you. Or team up with you. PVP is allowed and is encouraged. 27. Much more.

    Life Emulator is the emulator of life in the form of Minecraft! The idea of this server is to

    get as close as to real life as possible, but unlike real life we want to make every moment fun! This server is custom coded, no public plugins are used other then essentials. The server is geared to let you choose your own path, and make a profit from doing so. The goal is simple, make life fun, in Minecraft. And if you keep reading, you will see that we have done just that.

    1. Everything is custom coded. Anything in this list cannot be found publicly.

    2. RPG, a custom RPG system to allow you to master a valuable trade.

    3. Professions, several professions are available, these are like roles in the server.

    4. Fire fighting, fires are dangerous they are totally reworked and are a threat.

    5. Law Enforcement, a custom police system where cops protect the people.

    6. Crime, criminals can be caught by police for money. Being a criminal can be valuable.

    7. Properties, you can buy a property and manage it all with one command.

    8. Very little commands, you can view almost everything from one command.

    9. Skills, smithing, enchanting, breeding, cooking and about 10 more.

    10. Custom PVP, drop items during combat, go unconscious and more.

    11. Jobs, get a job to make some cash! These are mini games!

    12. Lockpicking, all chests can be protected, but they are never invulnerable.

    13. Custom shops, a VERY easy to use and never before seen custom shop system.

    14. The world is not destructible, you can only build in properties bought from the city.

    15. Prison, you can go to prison. So you better be careful criminals!

    16. Open world PVP, everyone can attack offenders freely. So stay by others.

    17. Police tracking, police officers can track and capture offenders for a bounty!

    18. Custom bank management.

    19. House alarms for robberies and etc!

    20. Custom shop system never seen before.

    21. Seasons, the world changes every week, not just visibly.

    22. Vehicles, never before seen, in depth with the option of simplicity.

    23. Delinquency Skill, being a delinquent becomes easier over time.

    24. Mechanic skill, used to install parts and remove old parts.

    25. Mob slayer, killing high end mobs takes a skill.

    26. Industry, produce items of high value with unique abilities.

    27. Produce car's through industry. This is an example of a complication of industry.

    28. Food expiration, eat food before it expires, proper storage is required for food!

    29. Nutrition, eat a balanced diet or a diet based on your play style.

    30. Pollution, the world becomes polluted as big business and crime spreads.

    32. Weight, players have a simple weight system that appears when they become heavy.

    33. Farming, you need to farm smartly, no longer can you grow crops underground.

    34. Fishing has high value, eating fish provides a specific nutrient, and is used often.

    35. Health, we have a custom disease system. Eat well and take care of your body to survive!

    36. Taming! Tame mobs and find rare breeds of animals to help you in your life! You can sell tames as well making it very valuable! Tames fight, defend and have unique abilities to help you.

    37. Combat balance, armor has weight, armor deteriorates and tames play a big role in combat.

    38. Wild mobs fight back!

    39. Player businesses, start a business, gather stats on your business and hire great employees.

    40. Drugs, grow them in specific conditions, and use them or sell them for great advantages.

    41. Procedural ores, there is thousand of variants of iron, diamond and gold ore.

    42. Procedural equipment, find the perfect metal for your armor. Not all variants are good, finding the best one is a mystery!

    43. Take part in daily and weekly quests!

    11/30/2017: Closed beta testing starts on the 2nd of December! If your interested in helping test out the closed beta come and click on this. However if your looking for a less bug filled version, with regular updates, stable performance and little issues, wait until the 15th of December for our public beta release. Our plan is to have a two week testing period before going completely public this way we can have a well rounded version of the server for the public to take part in. With this in mind if you are interested in testing out the server the server will wipe on the 2nd for the public release. This includes all stats. A whitelist application can be found in the community section below! We have officially finished the majority of the servers features. With this in mind we still have a lot of changes we plan to make to our current version of the servers features. As of right now and for the coming weeks we will be focusing on bug fixes. We will also have a weekly update, so the server will roll out major updates every week. Bug fixes, and hot fixes will happen nightly of course but new features and updated features will come out every week. We are also working on a website that we will use as a central hub for everything. With forums, news and everything else. We hope to grow a big community here. Hope to see a few people on the testing server of course but I look forward to going live on the 15th!

    6/22/2017: Well we had our hopes up for a release soon, but we decided against it to make sure we didn't rush any features and to make sure we can get all the information on how systems work from the website to the videos and etc. We don't have much left on the trello to complete. It'll still be a bit of time before our official release but you can expect a white list for bug testing to be available 2 weeks before release. Until then I'll fill you all in on some of the new additions. Taming has entered the game, and it will have a big impact on the game. Tames can help players fight, defend and gather resources. There are 3 types of general tames. Offensive, defensive and utility. These tames come with their own special abilities and unique traits. There is also 100 unique variations of each tame in the game. Some with abilities other tames might not have each with different base stats. It will be up to players to find and hunt for the correct variation they want. Basically tames are interesting and not just something that follows you around for a premium currency like all other servers. :) In other news other mechanics are entering the field, there is now securitrons that guard vital areas of the server. These lumbering golems only take 25% damage and deal 7 to 21 damage. They attack any and all offenders on sight, and their fast. These offer a safe heaven in the square, and are always a safe place to run to. Store robbing has been enabled for the server, wild mobs will attack you now, this includes passive mobs like cows, chickens etc. We've also added two more lawless zones. The crater and the flooded jungle. Each area has a few unique resources. In other words Justin has revised dozens of buildings, the town is coming to its final form. The world still needs a bit of shaping, but the server has a bright horizon in the regards of a release date. Stay tuned.

    5/11/2017: Life Emulator has seen some major changes in the past few days! Nutrition, pollution, weight, farming, fishing, food expiration and so much more has been added. As I begin work on a large patch for all of these added features for finalization we get closer to discussing a release date. Before we can release the server we will need to do a few things first. 1. There will be two weeks of debug testing. During this time the server will be purchased ahead of time to ensure a perfect launch for opening day. We expect there is dozens if not hundreds of bugs that will need to be ironed out. This testing phase will be vital to the success of the opening day. We will be looking for a few testers so feel free to contact us if your interested. 2. We will also be looking for two Head Moderators. These positions are vital for information distribution, moderation and just general coverage of the server when the founders are not on. These mods will recruit new mods and have a high responsibility in our server. These positions are also paid. 3. The website, this will have several resources on it from contacting us, donating, news and more importantly the Guide! This is a key ingredient to making us stick out. 4. Create videos over each feature in the game. These videos will be walk through's and how to videos. These should help players a lot! 5. Lastly we will need to have a proper advertising plan. We plan on paying for a trailer maker for the launch. On top of that we plan on hiring streamers and you tubers regularly to play on the server and advertise it. These 5 steps were missing from the original alpha mainly because we didn't want to become to large because we needed to close the server for the drastic changes to come. We also just were not very strong with keeping up with the 5 points made. But this time we are gonna try our hardest going into Beta/Release. Thanks for reading as always.

    5/3/2017: Hey everyone it's trigger here bringing another news announcement! As you may all know the server shut down last year because our alpha phase had come to an end. Now it's time for the Beta phase. This phase does not have a scheduled release date. However I can say safely it will be within the next month or two. The beta version of Life Emulator is a much more polished and finished product then what you all experienced in the alpha version. There has been many additions to the server that we had envisioned in our original idea for Life Emulator. One of the largest additions to the server is Industry. This is a huge chunk of the server that was missing for Life Emulator. Not to mention we have added dozens of other new features like, a safety box, food expiration, nutrition, pollution and even a carrying weight system. All of these new additions bring a lot more realism and a lot more options for players. There is also dozens of planned features, some of which are even being worked on now! The last few major things left on your todo list (code wise) before releasing our Beta is, A health system, Pets and Taming, more jobs, player managed properties (not renting from the server but owning your own town) and a Quest system (These have achievements adapted into them). These last few features are the last large milestones. Please keep in mind this does not include smaller additions like the fishing rework for example. Before the servers Beta release we will have our website complete and live. The site will contain information on all game play mechanics and other general information. We will be looking for moderators in advance before the server goes live, in addition to this JustinRide and I will be releasing videos over every feature over time so you can expect to see a couple of these pop up within a month or so! It has been awhile since a new post was posted but just so everyone knows the server has been worked on ever since it went down. It's worth mentioning Life Emulators 1 year anniversary is coming up!     12/23/2016: The server has been up for more then a week now! We have had over 224 users! This averages out to about 32 new players each day! To us this is awesome! However there is more to this then it seems. Lets talk about The Now, currently our server appears to be struggling with players who first join. We feel our hand held, but optional tutorial appears to be to much for players, and we also think starting at the school is really disconnecting players from the server as a whole. We also feel that making players who skipped / went through the tutorial, walk to town is really discouraging new players. We also feel that spawning in a cramped box (the class room) is really not showing the server off very well. So we plan to change all of this. New players will stay in easy mode for twice as long, and we plan to spawn everyone in the square. This will help players when they first join the server we feel. The next, patch 0.12 will be introducing some new cop and criminal mechanics. C4 will be available which will be used for temporarily blowing up blocks. Any said blocks will respawn. Police C4 will blow up blocks the same way, but only cops can pass through the air blocks left behind. This will prevent crooked cops from using their C4 with criminals. Cops will also be given the option to purchase cop only armor from the store. Depending on their cop rank they will be able to wear and use equipment that is easier to obtain and simply better. However this equipment will only work if your a cop. Once you stop being a cop, the armor will simply pop off and the items will not do damage. An anti combat log system will be set in with the update. More on that will be announced when the update becomes live. We still feel that crime appears to be a big reason why people leave. While this mechanic is vital to the server, we want it to be fair to be either side. It would appear that even despite the recent changes crime still runs just fine. Hopefully the police changes will give cops a better chance to defend the community. It is worth noting we plan on adding in illegal items(not in patch 0.12). These items will not be usable by cops. These are what criminals will be able to use to fight the cops during precise moments. In our server we envision cops being strong on there own. And criminals strong in numbers. Currently we feel its the opposite. Which is NOT how it should be. Cops should be a force to be reckon with, not someone you just walk over. We hope the upcoming changes will help the server move into a more healthier gameplay experience rather then new players getting demolished by players in full diamond with no cops, or to little geared cops to defend anyone let alone themselves. The Future, we have many big features of the server that are currently missing from our original vision of the server. They play a big role in how the server will work and how it should work. Industry is one of the biggest example, industry is intertwined with many ideas and concepts from the server but its simply just not in yet. We expect to work on major features like this after about a months worth of time. As right now we really need to work on coverage of the features as most people don't know how most things work, and we need to work on refining the features we have before we add more. We do however feel like the server is finally hitting a point to where it doesn't feel broken. Everything is starting to work exactly as it should, and the server console shows almost no errors every day. This means we should be able to start producing way better content and actual game play additions this way the server doesn't become stale for our veterans. In short, we know crime is an issue, we know starting players tend not to stay because of our tutorial system / location, and we have plans for big things!     12/18/2016: The server has been up for more then three days now wow! We have also found and fixed 70+ bugs! The server is slowly becoming more and more playable and it is really addicting as I have been playing myself! The server right now is going through a debug phase. So we are not concentrating on pushing forward into new updates as we are just trying to make the server as stable and as playable as possible. We are constantly balancing things and focusing on getting information out there. We have a lot of small changes to come. We are also looking for paid moderators! You can find more information inside the community section! Once the server becomes more playable we can start doing things like adding new jobs, improving the current ones and working on some of our bigger ideas like industry, business and quests. We are also looking into the server lag issues we are currently experiencing. We don't believe it is related to our server in particular, it might just be our host. We are hoping the situation will improve or else we will need to get a new host. Until then please stay posted on the trello for the any upcoming bug fixes and to see whats being worked on!     12/9/2016: RELEASE DATE and MORE. Since my last post JustinRide and myself have been working hard to bring you this important announcement. Life Emulator will release on 12/15/2016. The exact time will be announced later on the top of the forum page. Since our last post with vehicles and seasons I have fixed / changed / added over 32 things. These changes were minor and major but all played their role in helping with our final build. This build is all about getting it out to you the player. We are incredibly close to being able to actually test play the server on our own and see how well it works. (Not that we don't debug test constantly but the feel of it) With this build we worked on resource obtaining. With this comes a few quirks. The basics is you will need to go to specific areas for specific resources. So for gold you will need to go to the plains area which is a lawless zone, which when found you can mine gold there. Lawless zones are areas players can die at via pvp. As players cannot normally die. Players also do not gain notoriety while in the lawless zone. So this will be a very interesting area. The nether will also be a lawless zone however it will have a protected spawn area. Most vanilla resources are obtainable however we plan to come back to this and add the rest in the future. Anything that cannot be obtain my legitimate methods can be purchased from the server market. This build also brought garage doors to properties. Allowing you to store vehicles in a safe fashion and while just being cool as well! Bank management was updated allowing players to open savings accounts and to manage several accounts better. Checks may also be cashed at the city bank. The mechanic skill was also added to go hand and hand with the addition of vehicles. This skill determines what negative affects a player can view on vehicle parts and it determines what parts you can remove and add to vehicles. The mob slayer skill is a much needed addition, basically the higher this skill the easier it is to kill mobs and the better the drops are. As not all mobs drop items every time. Currently we are working on setting up all the server properties. Which is taking a lot of time. After that we need to setup the tutorial, then test play. Then the server will be brought to you all in full. A note for closed testers, you will be rewarded upon server login for your help. Anyone who joins day one will also be rewarded, the rewards for both closed testers and day one users is going to be special and kept secret!     11/21/2016: Progress has been on full speed. With this update we will be talking about some of our long awaited ideas, finally given life. Seasons, the server goes through the four seasons. During the winter snow storms will cause snow to pile up slowing you down, shoveling your driveway will actually be a thing. Crops won't grow during this time. While during the spring all crops can grow and even grow faster! Weeds even grow rampant in your properties, so you better get your lawnmower! Seasons have many changes they cause to the server. They don't just visibly change the world around you. Vehicles, this is a key ingredient to what makes life move. In LE you will need a vehicle to move around faster. You will need to not only fill your vehicle up with gasoline, but you will need to maintain your vehicle take it to the car shop when your radiator is damaged, or to another player who can fix it for you. Or better yet, fix it yourself. Vehicles are a dynamic contraption (like most this in our server) but can be simple if you don't wish to dig deeper into yourself. Vehicles are a massive addition to the server, there is so much to talk about regarding them that we will leave it with what I have said so far. What is going on now? We are working endlessly on what we call build 3. Build 3 is our cleanup build, were we fix lots of loose end not yet taken care of. It is also a build we want to call playable. Build 4 will be our last build before a public release. Build 3 is coming along swimmingly though. We expect to announce a release date shortly.     11/3/2016: So it's been quite some time since we last put anything up! sorry for going in the shadows everyone! Some stuff come up in life and it took some time to deal with. But now we are getting the cogs and gears moving again! This build we are currently focusing on criminals, properties, seasons and vehicles. To start let's talk about some other things done in the build. We added a custom shop system that is integrated with our custom banking system. You can have several accounts, so you can also pay at shops using any of these accounts. Making this process fast and easy was important to us. But we also wanted to make sure to appease players who use several bank accounts, as using more then one account will become very prominent when you have a business. Now onto being a criminal and properties. We want to make sure being a criminal is viable. You should be able to break into peoples homes. So we have allowed this, however, players will be able to protect their homes with the right tools. Using stronger doors to prevent people from smashing them open, using higher grade locks to prevent them from being lock picked and house alarms for general protection like glass being broken. Note only glass can be broken in your property, but to prevent it from being a grief like thing any hooligan could do, the glass will respawn after a set time. Balancing crime and protection will be an ongoing battle as we can never truly know what is favored until we have a player base. To allow criminal who don't want to lock pick and smash down doors of other friendly players we created a more friendly way to level up your delinquency skill. The store robbery mini game has been added! At set location you can rob a merchant. The longer you stay and the closer you stay to the merchant the more money you steal from him. When you start a robbery all police officers are informed of the robbery, and to top it off you will gain notoriety for starting a robbery and you will gain it from ending your robbery by right clicking the merchent to take the money from him. Imagine the merchant as getting the money together for you, and at anytime you can just take whatever he has ready. You can also opt to have a group of buddies help you fight the police officers who come to stop the robbery, but good luck with that. We have tons of new features we have added and I don't want to drag this update post on for much longer. Thank's for reading and I hope we get some feedback, we appreciate any comments we get.     9/22/2016: Fire! And fighting it! If you pay attention to our Trello you will see that the fire changes and fire fighting and been completed. House fires feel dangerous and like a real house fire! Blocks fall as the fire get intense, blocks break as the fire gets stronger, lamps fall from the ceiling resulting in a burst of flames on the ground, redstone short circuiting contributing to the fire, and the heat grows higher causing damage to players! But don't worry you can fight the fires! You will be able to purchase fire extinguishers for quite a price! You could try smacking it out with your hand, but there is a chance you'll be set on fire and you might not put it out on the first try! If the fire escalates and you find yourself dieing to the fire hopefully the fire fighters of the server arrive to help fight the fire before it gets to out of hand! They have access to special equipment to help reduce the heat's damage! They also level up their firefighting by helping you which will later on result in high end firefighter equipment like firetrucks later on! Anyways the new fire system is amazing and we look forward to having people experience it for the first time! On a side note we will be updating the community section with builder and moderator applications, builders will be able to apply before the server goes public. Stay tuned! - Trigger

    The 2D survival maps are a single layer of the world. Making farming, building and surviving very hard. Each map will be rated by difficulty and sizes. This may change of course. There will be a collection of 2d MineCraft Survival maps. These worlds will contain, all the biomes in the normal minecraft world. Along with all the normal items, seeds, reeds, pumpkins etc. Animals will be really hard to control as well. The Official map makers of the collection is, LegitButFalse, NinjaSmurf and xxxtrigger50xxx. After creating the fallout minecraft map we have nothing to do! We actually enjoy making these maps!

I spent most of my first cumulative hour wandering around aimlessly and trying to follow the compass. The coding is magnificent, though! I love the plugins and didn't have any issues with them! Heck, I didn't even experience any lag! The map is great, too.

    I'd say it might benefit from more moderators. I saw some insult slinging when somebody left and, honestly, it put a little bit of a bad taste in my mouth. They were ganging up on her and even luring her into false situations, like gift giving turning into setting her on fire and laughing about how they'd wasted her time. I suspect they've (I won't name names, though I'm sure you can guess) got some choice things to say about me now that I've logged off, which is (again) putting me off. The community's not really my style.

    I would also suggest giving people some starting armor or a safety deposit box at the bank. I was mugged not even ten minutes after easy mode wore off and told that it was just "tough" and that I needed to "git gud." The "raging" I was accused of is more or less disappointment in how quickly it happened and in the loss of... well, everything but my money. I'd been struggling to find some direction and losing everything kind of put a damper on what few plans I had, but at this point I'm simply complaining. The one doing it had just been bragging about his soon-to-be 10k notoriety, I should have known to log off or hide until he'd left.

    I'll likely give it another chance in the future, when more people get on at a time (thus, hopefully, giving the server more of a police presence) or when fewer people are focusing in on the criminal aspects of the game.

    I am really sorry this has happened to you, and I'm sorry your experience on the server was a bad one. We are aware that there is some issues with criminals at the moment. However it is part of the server and think crime is vital to a life based server. We plan on buffing cops in the upcoming patch to help cops fight against criminals. In your case, a cop might have been on to assist you, but no one was. Crime is a bit unbalanced at the moment. We don't want to nerf it to the ground so crime doesn't exist. As they makes no sense for our server, but we do want new players not to get mugged after 10 minutes of playing, at least on an average basis. In my news post on the server thread, i discussed how we plan to help cops be stronger and how we view criminals as being to strong at the moment. We don't want criminals to walk all over players and cops, but we want criminals to be able to mug, attack and possibly kill people. It just needs to be balanced that is all. I hope after we think we have balanced crime that you will come back and give it another shot. Or be the person to help FIGHT crime, be the cop to make a difference, if you don't like crime, fight it. Just like you would in real life. Regarding offensive material and the other person getting lured and set on fire, this is a life server, that stuff as bad as it sounds happens all the time, to the degree of getting set on fire, maybe not. But still, the actions of players are their own, that person chose to go to that location, they got set on fire which is a result of their actions not the servers. Regarding offensive material, we don't encourage nor do we like people using RACIAL slurs, swearing is aloud at a moderate degree. Calling someone a coward, does not fall under that category. If they used a racial slur while calling you a coward or while using several swear words we could do something about it, but from what i have read they did not break any rules regarding then. If you have screenshots of the conversations please post them and we can do something about it, we cannot just choose sides when it comes to player conflict, unless you have evidence there isn't much we can do, other then promise that we are trying to balance crime. I hope you understand from an administrator stand point why we cannot do much to assist you, thank you for playing though we REALLY appreciator ANY feedback during our alpha stage. Even if it was only for an hour + 10 minutes, we appreciate your time.

    Regarding the insults, I have no clue what you are referring to. If it's the fact that someone called another person annoying, then that's completely childish. We have the right to state our opinions and if someone truly feels offended by being called "annoying" then they could complain to the owners themselves. The person was logging off whenever a criminal logged in, which in our perspective was coward-like. And that's okay because there are no rules against stating opinions. We mean no disrespect but, getting mad over a block game is simply immature. If you feel offended in real life by being called annoying in a game, you shouldn't be playing a game that allows people to voice their opinions. The players killed you fairly and play fairly. And it's only fair because PVP is allowed. There are always going to be people better then you, and you have to accept that. If the owners want to hold your hands and protect you, they can do that.

    We shouldn't be discouraged for being a criminal if it's a feature. If people hate it so much then the owners can remove it. For now, it's allowed and you're going to have to deal with it until we get more players.

    To follow with this, PVP is allowed, we encourage ALL life styles, criminal, police or just a normal life. We try not to favor any one side but making sure each side is equally as valuable is important. Currently we see a high amount of normal players. Then the second up is criminal players, and last is cops. It should be, normal players, cops, criminals. Or at least cops and criminals should be of the same amount. We think their isn't enouph incentives to be a cop, as its more dangerous then anything. Hopefully in the coming patches we will be able to balance this issue. Again our cop population is low, we need to raise this by giving more incentives to be a cop and just make crime and police balanced overall.

    We don't want to protect players forever, only for an hour or so. We feel that players should have a choice in their life on the server, making sure they get a FAIR chance in making these choices is widely determined by criminals. We will be doing our best to make sure all three sides of gameplay remain healthy and fair, while still maintaining a some what accurate representation of life.

    Yes we support mods that are not straight cheating. These include mods like custom shaders, mini maps without player radar and etc.
    Lol that bug went unfixed for so long it was quite funny actually xD

    And that checklist is mainly for JustinRide and myself. It will be removed when complete, everything in that list should be done within a day or two :) We will be purchasing our server a day early. We also decided our release time was going to be 3pm on the 15th! :)

    Currently I'm working on improving the tutorial, /help and other tools to help new players in the world. The last thing i added in just about ten minutes ago was the ability to right click a compass and click a location item to make the compass point to one of those areas. This will be useful for new players as everyone will start with a none drop able compass! :)
