Can you give up building elaborate mansions on the surface? Can you give up exploring and marveling at the terrain you just found? Can you give up easy access to the cows, sheep, and pigs that wander your world? If so, then this is the mod for you.
INFORMATION ON 1.7 UPDATEDone some more work on this update.
For some reason, textures don't work the way they did before, so I had to do some weird system to get the textures to show.
The Sun Sensor has been removed, for being useless and buggy. I am also considering removing Pandora's Chest because it now serves no purpose.
Can you survive?
When you are ready, craft up Pandora's Chest out of 8 wood blocks, right click it and watch as the horror unfolds.There is now a new way to start the apocalypse! See Starting the Apocalypse.
The Sun Sensor will detect when the sun is gone and there is only moonlight. It will then emit a redstone signal.
Obsidian Glass, Reinforced Glass and Nether Glass will protect entities under them from the heat of the sun. It also acts as a very decorative block.
(Yes I know Nether Glass is ridiculously expensive, it will be receiving a recipe change very soon.)
Powered Glass will resist the suns harmful rays in exchange for a bit of EU or MJ.
Powered Glass will also synchronize power between adjacent Powered Glass blocks.
And by a bit I mean 1MJ/t or 1 EU/t, so pretty much your entire power supply.

StagesThis is how the Apocalypse will play out.
Stage 1: Nothing happens, just a regular minecraft day.
Stage 2: Grass changes to dirt, plants and leaves disappear.
Stage 3: Stage 2 effects increase, water begins evaporating.
Stage 4: Flammable objects are set alight, all entities will burn when in direct sunlight.
Starting the ApocalypseHere is how you start the apocalypse.
When at the main menu, proceed to create a new world.
At the world create screen, press More World Options and cycle the World Type to SA: Default. Add any other modifications and seeds to the world you would like to add, select a gamemode, name the world, if you want to, and then press create. The apocalypse will start immediately when you enter the world at stage 1 (0 in code, see below), which gives you 4 days. This world type will also generate the same terrain as the vanilla Default World Type.
ALL EXISTING APOCALYPSE WORLDS WILL RESUME AS THEY WERE LEFT, AND PANDORA'S CHEST WILL CONTINUE TO FUNCTION FOR ALL OTHER WORLD TYPES AS WELL.
In-Game Stage Code
In the game the stages are referred to differently. This is how the /sapoc command and other in game notifications will treat the stages:Stage 1 will be referred to as Stage 0.
Stage 2 will be referred to as Stage 1.
Stage 3 will be referred to as Stage 2.
Stage 4 will be referred to as Stage 3.
Known BugsThese bugs will hopefully be fixed very soon.

NOTE: Some of these will require great minecraft skill. I'm not responsible if you can't get iron before your world gets demolished completely.Your choices are:
EasyThe sun is growing ridiculously large and the world is being affected by it!You have four days to gather materials. On the fourth day, hell is brought to the surface, and the sun will burn anything in it's path, including you.The moon is moving closer to the earth, causing catastrophic events. First, the water level rises by almost 50 blocks. Then it all freezes over, including you.
MediocreA nuclear war destroys your world, leaving radioactive fallout. You need to build your fallout bunker in 2 days or less in order to survive.
HardYour world will be hit by an asteroid in 3 days. You need to build an underground shelter to survive the blast.
These apocalypses require you to assemble a shuttle/ark/rocket and leave the world. But don't fret! There is another planet for the human to inhabit, just not too close by.The bedrock layer is deteriorating, and when it collapses the world will be sucked into the void! Nobody knows exactly when it will collapse, but it could be within 4-10 MC Days. Assemble a shuttle and leave!Scientist testificates say in 10 minecraft days a neutron star will collide with the world! Build a rocket, and leave before it destroys all.

This mod is about magic and stuff. Including, destruction, transmutation and murder. I hope you enjoy.
The first thing you will notice after getting the mod is the blocks shown to the lower left. They spawn naturally and emit light so are really easy to find. They are also mineable by any pick. However, they have the same rarity as iron so it's gonna take a bit of looking. Simply smelt these blocks to get Mythium ingots (Right) and your'e ready to do some magic.Magic
Put simply, runes holds potential magic which the wands turn into bolts of magic which can do several useful things. Here are the crafting recipes for the runes.
Top Row: Rune, Flaming Rune2nd Row: Basic Rune, Rune of Transmutation3rd Row: Undead Rune4th Row: Hydro Rune
Bottom Row: Rune of Explosions
Wands are crafted using at least one rune. They are used in many different things including, combat, destruction, construction and transmutation.
Here are the crafting recipes for the wands.
Top Row: Magic Wand, Flaming Wand
2nd Row: Hydro Wand, Furnace Wand3rd Row: Cooling Wand, Wand of ExplosionsBottom Row: Wand of Hostility
The Magic wand can shoot invisible bolts of magic which do 7.5 hearts of damage when right-clicked. The Flaming wand can shoot bolts of fire which do 5 hearts of damage and set the enemy on fire. These bolts can also set blocks, which are not snow, ice or water, on fire. The hydro wand shoots bolts of water which do 5 hearts of damage. These bolts can also place a block of water down. The furnace wand can turn Clay, Sand, Ice, Obsidian and Cobblestone into Brick, Glass, Water, Lava and Stone respectively. As of Mythcraft 1.1, the furnace wand can also turn wood into charred wood (Below the video). When mined with anything you can mine wood with, you will get a piece of charcoal from it.The Cooling Wand can turn Brick, Glass and Stone into Clay, Sand and Cobblestone Respectively. As of Mythcraft 1.1, the Wands of Hostility and Explosions were added. The wand of hostility spawns a different mob depending on the mode it's set to and the Wand of Explosions creates a creeper sized explosion. You may have noticed that the recipe for the Wand of Hostility contains a material which you don't know how to craft yet, this is called Essence and here is the recipe:
In order to change the mode of the wand of hostility, your'e going to have to make an evil block of iron, in order to do this, place a block of iron and right click on it with an Essence of Evil. Note: the essence of evil gets used up.

As the first of my tile entity explorations, the redstone furnace is basic, but effective, and still OP. It works just as a furnace, except instead of having a fuel slot, you need to apply a redstone signal to activate the furnace.
Here's the crafting recipe:

A little more basic but still useful, the tool charger is a block with a single inventory space that can charge tools, like the title implies. It also works on some mods, as long as the damage on the tool is a regular durability. I tried to make the block somewhat balanced with an expensive recipe:
