    Adfly redirect to Mediafire? Eh?!
Adfly is used to support the artist and their work. Mediafire is used to store the texture pack and is ad-supported to maintain it's own servers. Yes there are better things out there, most of which require a subscription to use and don't run off ads. Frankly, I don't see the problem letting people have free use of things and support that usage with ads (that aren't annoying audio/video ads). If you thought adfly and mediafire both provide a small income for the artist, you're wrong. It's only adfly and it's a miniscule amount of money. If you don't want to go through adfly, there are clearly labeled direct links. If you wish to support the artist directly, please donate.

All I'm saying is that the very first texture you get when you google pumpkin texture is the filterforge stock texture, meaning that the likelihood of that being the first result on any texture site you browse is also high. Both you and Develsaa obviously used that texture and edited it, so I don't understand why you brought it up that her pumpkin was "remarkably similar" to yours, implying she copied your or something, when you knew you just edited a stock texture yourself. I think using stock textures is a pretty cheap cop out and you should probably avoid doing it, even if the textures are open to the public. Isn't the whole point of making a texture pack for you to make all the textures?
They did make the textures. Here's how this works: You have Photoshop and spend an exuberant amount of money for the FilterForge plugin and gain access to thousands of free-use filters created by the community. Then, you can either supply your own photos, or a general custom painted piece of art. Once you have that, you run the filter, and it will do the same thing to the same general image whether person A or B or C did it. Doing this, creates a custom image based on the original used, but since the filter itself is the same, the effect it applies will be the same. These images are not copied, the same filtration process was applied. This is both legal and accepted in the community. Your argument is invalid. Nobody here will deny they look similar, but we all know it's because it's the same filter. There is no licensing or copyright involved in using these filters, but using the exact same tiles generated and featured on the website? That's bad. Can't prove they did that unless it matches pixel-for-pixel to a certain amount anyway. Looking similar isn't enough. Neither of them used that texture and edited it, they supplied their own base image and applied the filter. Different. Okay?

for me...not only super nintendo and n64... but I competed in tourneys at the local arcade before it hit consoles. so, so long ago... but if that weren't the case, I probably wouldn't be here, lovingly doing what I do now. Gamer for life. :)

and I'm sure someone is going to ask what an arcade is....lol
Aye ladd, I've been to one arcade as a pre-teen and did the dumbest thing of all: Spent my available funds on one expensive game (Cruisin' USA) thinking my N64 experience with the game would help me. Lost by mere pixels on the first race. As for KI, I have the collector's edition SNES and N64 Cartriges as well as the first game's sountrack CD. I can also tell you that my Avatar is specifically Fulgore V2 from the second game. I know all his and every other character's move/combo lists by heart to this day. Albeit I've never injured my thumbs playing it. Nerd For life.
