I've been using this program for months, absolutely amazing. Due to the new user system being released in a couple days, along with 1.8 skins, the program has basically been killed and skins are not updated anymore. Aware that the thread is inactive, but if you do happen to reply, do you plan on at least fixing it?
This is an absolutely amazing rig! Also, when are you thinking of fixing the mouth, you did state in the video that the mouth was sharp, so when are you thinking of fixing that?
There wasn't any bugs to the mouth, just it isn't smooth in editor BUT is in renders to picture viewer. Anyways, it is fixed in 3.0, coming pretty soon Hope you're enjoying the rig
I really am loving this rig. I use it for all of my renders that I am working on, and I look forward to future updates. I do have 1 question though. How do I extrude parts on the head. Can I? Or do I have to make a separate hair/hat thing and put it into the character. Thank you.
You'd have to make a seperate copy of the head, extrude/modify, and once done, drag it into the head null in the body parts.
Hi, im using your rig (Steve 2.1) and I made a cap for my character, but when I was going to put it under the head in the Objects tab I couldnt, do you know why ? The head thing is darkened is it because that ? Forget it
Well, if you still need it, just go to layers, unlock joints, and go in the character, bones>waist>all backs> and drag the hat into neck. Also, be sure to place the hat where you need it
I'm new to Cinema 4D so please forgive me if this is a simple fix, but whenever I try to use ambient occlusion with a hat layer present, the whole head becomes black. I have tried checking "Evaluate Transparency" but no luck. Any ideas what is wrong?
My only tip would be to make sure it is a .png file with the hat layer being transparent and not black. Can you possibly leave a screenshot as a reply? That would help a ton
In about 2 weeks, I'm going to purchase C4D!!! By the way which version and type should I get? I heard for minecraft animations the C4D Studio is the only one that works good, or will the C4D Prime type work?
Cinema 4D Studio is the best bet. Comes with everything in one, and most Minecraft rigs, like mine or WeedLion's need Studio for drivers and visual selectors. A feature comparison is on Maxon's website
I have like 2 suggestions, make it so you can move the location of the eyes up/down a pixel, for people with skins that require the eyes to be up a pixel, and the ability to turn the stretchy feet off if possible.
First suggestion, very possible. Ability to turn off stretch, working on a new method
New render for Wolfcraft Hosting with your new 2.0 rig!
Looks very awesome! If you do plan on doing animation, I will be rolling out bug fixes in a little while for a lot on the Wolf and a couple things on Steve. Please check my Twitter every now and then for information @xiFrost21. Hope you're enjoying the rig
I can read by context you're adding fingers! They're very easy to make. UVmapping them is simple, you just need to know how the Minecraft hand/palm looks like. :3 Here's an example of some fingers I created for my old rig in January, it took I'd say less than an hour. (My rigging skills weren't as good back then..)
Gaah the jealousy. I'm going to leave the fingers for a later update sadly, since I want to push this rig out sooner, and also get out a Wolf with it. I do have an idea though on UV mapping for them in which I haven't gotten around to trying yet. Thanks
Frost, I have not tries this rig yet but by the looks of these renders, it looks absolutely AMAZING! It is honestly really nice! It comes from the heart! The only thing this rig needs on a major scale is well designed and well articulating fingers. Then you'd be all set! Except for stuff like capes and hat/helmet support. Keep up the Awesome work!
Already on the path to fingers. Just need to learn how to texture them correctly and they'll be done. Cape support was added quite a while ago, just I need to redo it as it really isn't that great. I might also do like a cape color customizer-thing. As the thread says, I have so so so much planned for this rig and as time goes on, i'll get them into this rig
I like how this came out. Creative using pixels for the mouth instead of the normal joints/boole. I also really like the neck and how it works with the waist. Nice job!

The next version will include that
You'd have to make a seperate copy of the head, extrude/modify, and once done, drag it into the head null in the body parts.
