Hello! My name is lameness!
I have one question for you:
Do you offer sponsorships?
I have an awesome plan for a server, but as it stands right now i have no way of hosting a server.
It is an anarchy-server. But wait, before you stop reading, thinking this is some stupid things.
It is going to have both hacker-detectors (Plugins and dedicated staff)
More like a normal friendly vanilla server, but with less rules. Or more freedom!
This probably sounds like a stupid idea, made by some 10 year old.
I think there is a "market" for people who just wanna play some vanilla, with no lag and fun gameplay.
Thank you for reading this!
Hi! Please submit a ticket over on our website and we will definitely consider your proposal.

That is a fair observation, we are not on the expensive end of the scale but not on the cheap end of the scale either. Minecraft servers are very much a "get what you pay for" situation. Cheaper hosts tend to resell or overload their servers whereas the more expensive ones own their own hardware etc.
We feel we have a good balance of both. We don't overload our servers and we own our own hardware in our Chicago datacentre. We also have a small full-time support team who have plenty of experience and knowledge as opposed to some cheaper hosts who may have a large team of part-time semi-skilled team being paid commission.
Hopefully that offers some helpful insight into our pricing!

We were both owned by the same company, GForce mostly hosted Minecraft servers whilst we mostly hosted gmod servers etc so it was a perfect fit, our Minecraft servers are still the exact same as GForce.

Jan 18, 2013If the majority of the load is caused by the server, you might be able to reduce its usage by minimizing the amount of map that needs to be loaded simultaneously, and minimizing plugin usage.Posted in: Server Support and Administration
Jan 18, 2013Yeah, that load is definitely your issue. I wouldn't recommend overclocking because you're not going to get much out of it and you need to know what you're doing to do it right. If you have another computer you could use, I would use that. Otherwise, you're best off renting a server from a provider if you're able to.Posted in: Server Support and Administration
Jan 17, 2013For a 20-25 player server you're going to need some proper hardware and connection. If you tried running this on your computer itself you would run into a lot of performance issues and would most likely run into bandwidth issues as well. Not to mention the fact that TTT servers are targeted for DDoS attacks very often. If you're able to, I would recommend going with a proper host from wherever you are geographically located.Posted in: Server Support and Administration
