I invented this earlier today and made a video for it. I originally made it a while back with arrows but now that we have flame charges it is ridiculously overpowered. You can install it in a wall or make a small defense booth with them on all 4 sides. The possibilities of roasting mobs alive are endless.
note: It's been awhile and I can't find how to put the video directly into the post
I would like to know whether this is a good idea. Here are some basic pros and cons.
Pros:
-already tunneled out
-spider spawners for xp farms and grinders
-chests found in them contain lots of good stuff
Cons:
-often wierd terrain generation such as dead ends and opening up into caves etc.
-can't make big rooms in the center or else they hit other mineshafts
generally would this be an efficient way of building?
So I'm making a compressed breeding farm, I have a 1 wide 1 long 3 tall (1x1x3) tube with a little window and half slab to feed wheat through. However,I want to make it so that whenever I kill a mob in it the items to be pushed by water to a collection point. However, I need to do this without allowing the mobs to escape. Help?
So I've been working on my world and I've decided that my goal is to make it self sufficient and automatic where possible. This includes an auto rebuilding wall, mob spawner+grinder, etc. It's mostly set up but I've found myself bored as there is nothing to do. I would build more but I don't have any ideas. Is it really a good idea to continue this?
I make a redstone smart house with a light switch, piston doors, and a bunch of other redstone features. I usually make it out of cobble to begin with and then replace it with stone bricks.
Ever since I started playing minecraft I was obsessed with redstone and other such machinery. However, now that the 1.0 update has come magic is starting to take its hold on minecraft with alchemy and enchantment. So, it has come time to decide which shall rule: SCIENCE or MAGIC. I personally will stick to science until magic has more features. How about you?
Edit: I am defining science as anything with redstone, pistons, and other such automated things (think ethoslab or docm77).
