ok so after the bridge, make a small cobble path or wooden path, with some flowers grass benches, light posts, etc. Make it life like and peaceful.
Also add a backyard with a swimming pool, lawn chairs, mood lights (Redstone lights or Glowstone, what ever you prefer) and a mini garage with a nice model car. So far thats it for the outdoors. Send me the interior and il spice it up to!

Hmm happend to my once..... Try looking at your wifi for instance ! Look at your Firewall and check if minecraft is not being blocked, or enable Ingoing and Outgoing connection. Also enable java on the Firewall just in case if its not yet. Hope that helps!
