That's what I've been doing. I have something that'd take 15 minutes or so do to that I wanted done by the 25th, but I'll be danged to get in that lag fest and bother doing it.

Yikes. No I havent tried the nether, and that comment doesnt compel me to either... I've had a small amount of lag. But I'm not swimming in redstone contraptions either.
Now that I think about it, maybe thats why my Slime-block launcher stopped working... lag.
btw not a bug but they increase the Banners limit now! u can place 300!!

Thats for sure! I went to a mob spawner I turned into a farm, its nice and dark so the mobs will spawn. I got down there, did one thing, and it lit up like there wasn't a roof!. Like daylight was spewing in from all directions!
Oh, and the mob farm isnt working. The spawners are broke. but thats a whole other issue i think is widely known about by now.
btw does your Game lag when your in the Nether?
my game lags like hell i can't even place Blocks!

ME TOO! I just made a slime elevator, I was so excited I took my friends on it, and we all fell through :/ Wow I'm less alone than I think.
Anyhow, about those dropped items slowly dragging to our feet, I noticed it too, and I actually think that that alone may have something to do with the lag. Now, I'm no programmer, but it seems they tried to fix the coding for that (since the dropped items used to bounce around all crazy) and because they did so, it slowed the game down. Running tons of if/then statements for all those items plus the animation for them probably slowed the game down quite a bit.
I feel so doomed man... I wanted to start uploading some minecraft videos but like... with the lag, I don't want laggy videos... but I also don't wanna wait 3 weeks (or more!) to upload my creations
well that's sad... maybe play games while waiting for that BUG FIX Update?
Having the same issue mate. Items not being picked up, when they are I can see them slowly drag to my feet. My slime elevator has completely shut down. Had to install a ladder to my sky base. My monster spawner has slowed to a crawl. Trees take forever to grow and is costing me huge amounts of bonemeal. Yeah, lagging like hell!
been building my sky base for over a year and it is massive, but no issues before now.

its was working Fine since then after that the Update hits! and was excited to try it..then after that i was glitching through the Piston and then it crash my Xbox welp 4J Studios is so Rush about their BIG Updates and they gonna say Bug Fixes during January? well we're doom for 2-3 Weeks
btw im curious if Current Gen is having this Problem too?
To BloodyPhoenix: Gosh-darn, for real? I've only been playing minecraft for a few months so I'm not too familiar with updates. Does every update tend to slow down the game?

4J do this all the time every BIG update they release always LAG SPIKES,CONSTANT CRASHING etc....
if u dont have Twitter they will take a Break now for the Holiday they will fix the bugs after the New year!
kinda said for me the slow terrain generation and constant crashing is making me Rage Quit...
