I would say pick a theme and style and stick with it throughout the pack. Also note that theme and style is not the same thing. The theme of a pack would be medieval, modern, apocalyptic, default, sci-fi etc.Style on the other hand refers to the painting style such as: realistic, cartoony, high contrast, low contrast, noisy, pixel art, high saturation, low saturation and so on.
Try a comparison between my cobble and his then ;) But lets be honest, the only real similarity you can find with cobblestone is the 2x4 brick style. John smith used an irregular 2x4 brick style (one row with 3) comprised of very rounded bricks which initially appear to be sporadic, mainly caused by the slightly angled bricks.
Tbh im not very good with the technical stuff like theme and style so i wouldn't even know what to call mine and you seem to know what youre doing but anyways good job with your werian pack i love it

It was me, who originally claimed you may have stole the textures. I based this off your post history, the random quality of your textures and the fact you requested what should be a simple pack.png. As I said, I have no proof you stole anything at all. The evidence just didn't add up.

I am somewhat curious how you make your textures? A lot of them look *very* similar to other packs, are you making your textures from a blank file or are you heavily editing existing textures others have made?
about half of the textures i made a year ago and i just started it back up about a week ago so most of the "crappy" textures were from a year ago and clearly i have gotten a lot better. As for making the textures i usually start from a blank slate, pick a color, fill the layer with that color, then start another layer on top of it and get a lighter/darker color with about 10% opacity and rub that around, Then i get another layer and make the outlines like for the wood and such. Pretty basic stuff for all the textures.

Finally i think ive explained myself well enough

Is that wool as the roof in the first image? Because it looks more like metal.
doesnt look like metal imo http://gyazo.com/90a9f95cf06375b56432a18d0f6ad118

The reason people think you have copied textures is because your style is very similar to some other common resource packs.

It also doesn't help that you included 'John Smith' as one of your search tags on PMC. I did a direct comparison between the cobblestones of yours and John Smith just to double check. It's definitely different, but looks quite similar.

Another reason is that you asked for people to make two textures for you. If you already have made an entire pack of good textures, why would you ask for a simple pack.png?
lmao i just used it to attract views. I dont even think ive ever used the john smith texture pack in my life. And my pack is RPG Themed so if it resembles other rpg packs even a little im not surprised. Again I can easy make a pack.png but i didnt want to and still dont because i had no inspiration for that

I think what sticks out the most to me as looking "copied" is the cobblestone. It's an awful lot like the cobblestone from filmjolk's werian pack in shape, colour and shading, but it's not exactly the same.
It may have been in mind when i was making the cobblestone. I have used that texture pack before and also a lot of the textures in this pack are from a year ago and maybe i was dumb and tried recreating it in my own view. Like i said before i used to be obsessed with doku and a couple blocks resembled them that i made a year ago and im just now getting rid of.

Just let me take some time and get a bunch of updates out and the textures all together will look much better

EDIT: Im going to change the cobble stone asap

Yeah, sorry about that whole 'make your own textures' thing. I guess I just didn't expect something that good.

Thanks man and i hope were all cool now

For instance, his wooden planks are easily obtainable on a google image search. He also was asking for someone to make him a "cool RPG pack" and then this turns up out of the blue, so, if you did make it, forgive me for being overjudging and quick to snap.

I dont remember asking anyone to make me a pack but you are right about coming out of the blue. I started this pack over a year ago and i stopped then randomly started again which is where it came from
    Quote from corner_g

My advice at the moment would be to update your signature, as it clearly contains different textures from this pack currently (older textures perhaps?). The planks and glass on your signature screenshot are very simplistic, and that style has been done before, so if anyone based it off of that, they could make that mistake.
I'm actually working on getting a new signature and yes the wood was from the texture pack i started a year ago which i updated recently

I'm not saying you haven't, I don't know anything yet. That's why I want to know what pack Zardium (or Dragonoid) believe this is from. From my current standpoint, I do not recognize it, and I browse the forums regularly, but that does not eliminate the possibility of packs I haven't noticed from here, packs from another site, or even other texture sources like Google Images.
i forgot the first person who started this, all i know is he was a moderator, but he was claiming that i stole these textures because i was asking for a pack.png and he believes that i wanted one because i didnt have the artistic skill to create it. Therefore i didnt have the artistic skill to create textures. I doubt he even downloaded the pack
