Oof, I say this with a lot of pride: I first started playing minecraft during its classic era in 2009. Classic was the and it was honestly the only version of minecraft I needed up until I started trying out the more updated game years later in 2013-14.
I loved classic because creative was the only option you had and servers would revolve around players competing to make the coolest thing they could with the limited amount of blocks. Made a lot of friends during that time and I look back at those times fondly.
I could probably talk about it forever but... I won't pain anyone with a novel to read
