posted a message on Higher Monster Spawning Rates
Back in Alpha, i remember running through the night being chases by an entire mob of monsters and every corner i turned i almost came face-to-face with ANOTHER ONE! Survival felt like survival because you actually struggled to gain control of the world around you. I don't know if its just me but it seemed like it was much more difficult to handle the daily tasks because there was just more danger involve in exploring and building.

    - I had a reason to be scared of the dark. Surviving was much harder because if i wanted to go out at night at all, i would have to suit up with armor, weapons and food like i was preparing for a desperate mile long zombie run.

    - I had to be more careful when exploring caves because monsters spawned MOST frequently in the dark.

    - Building a large fortified complex was actually necessary to survive (With cobble walls, fences, towers, windows, steel doors, redstone contraptions, etc.)

    - More advanced transportation systems were needed to avoid getting caught on foot in the night (Elevated railroad bridges, running waterways for boats, upgraded railroad tracks such as booster and buttons)

    - Night time was darker and forced the player to actually use torches.

    - Building checkpoint outposts was necessary for both safety and navigation. (Small towers, rooms, bunkers, furnished tunnels, etc.)

    - And going into the nether was a goddamn nightmare. (Still is sometimes)

    - I dreaded rain storms because i knew that monsters would appear soon to get me.

Now that Monsters can have armor and tools, higher spawn rates would add on to the tension a bit.

posted a message on Are you going to buy Black Ops 2?
    All you are PC fanboys.

    "PC games are superior"
"Not buying one until a new engine comes out"
    "Screw MW and Black Ops"

Will anyone tell me why people hate it so much?!?! I understand its a copy and paste shooter but it is ONE of the longest running franchises.
    Quote from ThePilotGuy

No. Not until they introduce a new engine. Until then, it's just the same thing with a different theme.

Thats what im talking about. SCREW THE GRAPHICS!!! A GOOD GAME CAN BE A GOOD GAME. pc fanboy

    Quote from laYahooz

I disagree with you on that bows don't matter much. In my experiences, enchanted bows are the best first hit. Which means I usually hit my opponent straight on with a fully charged bow, then beat them with my sword.

    Good guide :P

Yeah. The topic poster forgot to include an attack strategy that could win you numerous fights. Sneak and use the bow at the same time while making sure you stay behind cover so you can't be seen such as trees, steep hills, dark caves, etc. And make sure you stay a considerable distance from your target because even if you are using sneak, they will still easily be able to spot you up close. (15 blocks) Make sure you are at least 2 chunks away; preferably 3 so it gives you time to run.

A good thing to remember is that you should avoid a conflict in Hardcore PVP servers whenever possible. The combat relies heavily on connection, and having a fast clicking finger. Giving yourself time to run from a diamond armored foe will save you grief in the long run.

Geurilla warfare is the best in Minecraft. (personal experience) When a diamond armor foe sees you, the first thing he will do is chase you like a barbarian. Don't give him a head start. If you have potions, get to high ground and wait for him to start climbing. If you splash poison in his face he will start running like an Ocelet. So that's why you always have to make sure you catch him in a place where he cant get out so easily.

everyone here is just say realist because thats the kind of person they want to be. I bet if you watched them for a couple weeks and see how they handle things, they would have different results.

Realist just seems the most reasonable on the list so people pick that. LOL

    None. Classification is discrimination.

Where the hell did that come from. Do you even know what discrimination is?!

P.S. People tend to over-use that word for everything these days.

This is exactly what kind of game I'd like.

Then i recommend waiting for Fortnite; introduced by Epic Games at the VGA. It sounds like it will be exactly what you're talking about except for the graphics. Yeah its cartoony but they say it will be a resources managing, fort building, free roam scavenging, spooky horde mode game. I am excited for it. And it looks like it could be multiplayer based, which is cool too!

posted a message on Is Bad company 2 better than Battlefield 3!
No the maps aren't as big, and no you cant fly jets in BC2. But i thought the gameplay was just . . . better . . . than Battlefield 3 because of how chaotic it was and everything you did was a thrill. Battlefield 3 doesn't offer that same "Oh ****" feeling when you come across enemies or a tank; now its more like "gotcha now"! Battlefield 3 has a more arcade feeling to it rather than a thrill. And it had a way bigger sense of destruction that BF3. And, im sorry to say this but, the graphics in BC2 were surprisingly better than BF3. Everything is not all "black-white" schemed. Each environment had its own colors and character.

    Heres what i mean.
The second thing i missed about Bad company 2 was the story. yeah it wasn't the best but at least it was an actual story. Battlefield 3 just has you jumping around without really knowing your characters. The sort of comradery between the members of the Bad Company squad (Supposedly rejects) who went through all that crap together to stop a major war was actually really cool. it was like a classic odds-beating story that games that games tend to pass up. What made the multiplayer fun was that it had the same feeling as if you were still playing the Campaign with all the characters. So that sort of motivated you to work together like a typical battlefield game. The kind of sticking-together story was way more entertaining than a lone soldier who "happens" to survive a lot of crap in a totally unrealistic war. (Or Hollywood style, i should say)
The characters were funny too which was one of the main attractions for game. The intense combat always ended with a small joke. One of the main things i found funny was that they were supposedly a bunch of rejects who were thrown together because of previous problems. But together, they could actually kick ass! LOL
    - I like to think battlefield 3 is taking place in a different part of the world in the mean time of this game!

posted a message on There are too many First Person Shooters!
I really think FPSs are overpopularting the market. I am always looking for a good one and there is always FPSs where i am looking. FPSs are making me bored of games alltogether.

To me, Battlefield 3 is the most innovative but i cant have fun playing it because its just a dime a dozen now. DICE pretty much turned the battlefield series into another COD copy; and isn't the first to do so. Modernwarfare 3 gets way too repetative and Different action games like Uncharted are a little too "meh" to me.

Another thing, I don't know why almost every single FPS on the market involves the Russians. There are other powers in the world, you know. Like the Germans, French, Chinese, British, etc. I think the Russians are a common favorite because they are known to be really tough and intimidating. IDK. I would just like a change. I was actually surprised to here that BF3 does not involve the MED (Middle Eastern Colision) or fighting the chinese in BF2 which were cool features. All shooters are just running and shooting and now special interactions.

Just my opinion, but Halo is the only FPS that doesn't get old with me.
