A lot of people are saying 1.8 is coming on the 16th of September. Some say 20th or longer, even. Some are saying tomorrow. Some are saying early September. I don't think there is an actual release date. -

I installed Windows 8 on my 5 year old computer yesterday, my FPS has doubled. I usually get around 30, now I get 70-ish. It might just be me, but I think Windows 8 is faster. Definitely faster than Vista, anyway. If I'm being honest, I don't understand why everyone seems to dislike Windows 8. It's fine to me, you just have to get used to the changed UI.
