lol, so i got some input. I do 3d rendering/modeling and i can tell you that the spaceship was made in blender, the plane is an adventure map by iballisticsquid, the castle is a pic from a building guide, The harbor castle is yet another render, i can't find a source for the dark gothic castle except thishttp://darkshadowteh...astle-324655491 , the desert city was done by a man and his girl from reddit, the LOTR castle is a render of a map made in worldpainter and worldedit.
so please before you commit Plagiarism please get your facts straight and atleast try to do a half decent job.

This isn't the world you know today. Life is simple here, you have a well-payed job in a great, safe city. Everyone gets along nicely. No factions, No Demons, no magic. So long as you stay within the city walls, you'll be perfectly safe.Or so you thought...
Silvania: Ultimatum picks up on the lore in a distant future, reviving the battles of past with an entirely new element - Technology. For thousands of years, the battles between Caelum and Mortalitas have slowly been forgotten, only remembered by the few still part of the now very secretive organisations. Their presence had all-but-vanished from the world... until Port Talcin was attacked. No-one knows who did it, but news teams across the world are reporting that one or the other faction is responsible. Suddenly, people are flooding back to join whichever faction they believe is the right cause, and civil war is breaking out across the land.
Ultimatum takes a different approach to the battles than the previous Silvania servers. Instead of having a few small towns dotted around, assigned to one faction or the other, people can live anywhere from a small hut to a huge city. Both factions live in secrecy in the same town, and you never know who is part of which faction.Anyone can make a town on Ultimatum, but the lands outside the new metropolises is extremely hostile, making it very challenging to leave the cities for extended periods of time.
Silvania: Ultimatum is a modern/futuristic server. The basic theme is that you are either a citizen from one of the existing cities, or you've just arrived here for the first time from another planet. You can opt to live in the cities, or try and make it on your own in the dangerous wilderness.Wherever you choose to go, you can decide whether to play a role in the two warring factions Caelum and Mortalitas, or to just stay out of the fight.

I'm open to suggestions on features. I write some of these mods myself, so it's easy for me to add new content to the game!
Our server is open and anyone can join, but it's worth noting that it's still in the building stages! If you're looking to build a town, we may give you a few things to get going, as no towns are really ready for residents just yet.
All you need to do to join is download and install the AT Launcher! Our modpack is currently the last on the public packs list, and it's called Silvania: Ultimatum. IP is pre-entered!
However, it would be of great benefit of you to sign up on our forums, It's not required, but if something happens and we have to change IP, that's the only way you'll find out quickly!
We don't have much yet - the world is still very early and we need some good builders!

Silvania is one of the longest-running servers in SMP history. We originally started as a hMod server in November, 2010, and we've grown since then! Many of you may remember us from our Bukkit days, some may remember us from when we ran Spout. Now we're running Forge, and I've developed much more as an admin and a person.
Silvania itself has grown too- we're now Silvania Studios. We don't just do minecraft servers anymore - we write games and game mods, do media editing for videos and music, and we're soon going to offer Web Design too! We're also expanding to create our own social network, made by gamers, for gamers.

The way I see it, Player vs Mob combat is fine - The player is at a nice advantage, you aren't likely to die from 1 mob (except creeper), and it doesn't take much time. However, Player vs Player works in the opposite. When two people decide to get into a duel to the death, or two groups decide to fight each other, the whole thing lasts about 30 seconds or less. Not much fun.
First, add a better blocking system. I propose that when you right click with a sword, you are actually going to set up a block that needs to be in the right spot in order to successfully block. So, now, while right clicking with a sword, instead of controlling where you are looking with your mouse, you are controlling how your sword is blocking by circling it around a fixed point. Same with attacking with a sword, except with a different button.
If swords meet like this: -|- and one is blocking, it is blocked. If they meet so they are more or less perpendicular, no need to get specific, it is blocked. Mobs would have a similar effect, i.e a spider jumps at a particular spot, zombies bash their arms in a specific direction, etc, etc. When an attack is blocked, the attacker is turned to either side a random but reasonable amount to allow the blocker to reap his just rewards, though if the failed attacker is quick he may be able to turn back in time to block the blow. The block can also be used to block an arrow if in the right location relative to the arrow, though this will be hard
However, this method obviously isn't going to work with the current combat system. Rapid clicking enemies will just quickly adjust and pummel you until eventually you miss a block, which won't take long. So, to fix this, I propose attack with a sword takes some time to "pull back" or whatever. That gives each person time to set up a block or start pulling back for a counter attack.
When the fight is over, you simply release the button to go back to controlling the viewpoint with your mouse.
Also possible would be a kick attack, which would do very little damage but have longer knockback, allowing for a possible kick then strike after a successful block.
Personally, I think that this will greatly enhance the minecraft combat system, which is in itself boring because it takes virtually no skill, just run up and rapid click. With this, you will need skill, timing, etc, instead of just a quick hand. This idea will also open the groundwork for more varied weapons like battle axes that attack at different rates but do differing amounts of damage, and shields, which may be able to do very little damage with a bash, but are much easier to block with.
Alternatively, this could be done with different buttons representing different attacks, i.e. G = upper left swing, H = upper right swing, etc, and then when you are right clicking it is the same except you block in those locations.
TL;DR / Recap
First, you would press the focus button, or whatever it would be called. This would focus your viewpoint so that you adjust your attack/block angle instead of the direction you would be looking
Instead of swinging the sword instantly when the left mouse is clicked, there would be a quick "draw back" animation before the actual strike happens. This would allow for your enemy to have to time attempt to block it.
In order for that to happen, I suppose there would need to be a similar effect for mobs, i.e. zombie needs to draw back a punch, spider needs to retract in order to pounce again, etc.
If anyone wants to make a mod for this, I'd be grateful. My Java skills aren't too great
