I got NOTHING productive to add to the conversation: I just want to thank you all for bringing back my hands down favorite texture/resource pack. I'm anxiously looking forward to future updates.
Keep up the good work lads! My survival island shelter is looking incredible because of your work!

If you don't mind a short hike to the village:
Minecraft: 1.4.2 World Type: default
From the spawn area head north through the forest and over the hills. When you come to the plains you should be able to see the NPC village. The roads aren't perfect but they aren't as bad as some.
Yes, there are actually small deserts and swamps within a day's journey. Minecraft will always generate them, but maybe they are enough out of your way?
Just created a world using this seed (In technic.) and it works well. Looking forward to "saving" these villagers.

It was a GREAT week because my favorite texture pack updated. Thanks santiago!
Feb 16, 2012So: most recent beta edition, survival map. I built me a very nice reinforced house. Decided to dedicate some space on the second floor to a wash room, and wanted stone tile floors without ruining the look of the first floor ceiling.Posted in: Survival Mode
So I slabbed the ***** up. Or rather, I tried to: But it seems that you cannot combine two differing slabs together to form a full sized block. If you put down, say, a wood slab then try to place a cobble slab on top, the cobble will float at the height of the next regular sized block.
Probably not a bug, but still not right I don't think.
Uh, mods, feel free to place in the appropriate place. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Actually, their changing the oscillation frequency of the light, not amplifying it. But no one wanted to work on a loser.
Dec 28, 2010Hello all. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Hopefully its something you would either want to use or try your hand at making. I searched the forum and found nothing similar to this, but that might be due to my own skills and not a lack of existance.Posted in: Minecraft Tools
Anyway, I basically wish to request a specific map generator. To explain it, there is the requirement of a bit of history.
I fell in love with an animated series called stormhawks in 2007 when it first aired in my region. Everything about the world was intriguing, the art style, the characters, the technology... the geography...
Anyway, I was wondering if its possible to make a map generator which would create a world like the Atmos. Individual, resource rich, mountains of varying sizes seperated by distances of "wasteland"; the adminium layer of the map covered in lava, perhaps with a few small dots of land a layer or two above the lava ocean with precious resources on them.
I figured "two great tastes..." and wanted to see how they tasted together. I would try to create the generator myself, but have no coding background. I figured with the love for floating islands around here, it would be worth at least trying.
Nov 23, 2010Ha! Awesome! Again: Thank you kindly. I'm camped near a desert, so I'm gonna be rich soon.Posted in: Mods Discussion
Bout my only complaint is that cobblestone doesn't work. Since its basically just the stone you've already mined. Cooking the stone back to smooth shouldn't make a difference.
EDIT: I would definetly make it the output as ores instead of refined ingots as well. Given the mining process, you need to extract the material then make it useable.
Nov 23, 2010Sorry to necro the thread, but I was given an idea by a friend on another forum.Posted in: Mods Discussion
A tool which lets you pan for gold in water sources. Since gold is used in the watch... and I generally just like collecting the stuff. (My money bin!), I figured I would suggest it at least.
