Well, Notch also was going to make Pigmen, but Dinnerbone is adding them in 1.6 or something, so I'm just gonna not add them to this list. It would make the mod weird once they get added for real, and there will be 2 kinds of pigmen in Minecraft for users of the mod.
I have an idea for someone to make a mod called the Notch Mod. The Notch Mod will add all of the stuff that Notch said he would add, but never did because he retired. That stuff, along with what it does, is listed here:
-Full height variation and return of beaches: What I just said. This is just so stuff doesn't suck.
-The Sky Dimension: The sky dimension can be accessed by sleeping in a bed. When you sleep for the first time on a Minecraft world, there will be a 25% chance that you get transported there. If you don't get it on your first try, keep sleeping and trying again. When you're there, it's always daytime, and there are no hostile mobs. You get back to the Overworld either by dying or making a bed in the sky world and sleeping in it. Once you have gone there and back 3 times using the bed teleport, not dying, your bed back home in the Overworld will get a new button, besides "leave bed". It will be "sky dimension". Now you can go there at will. The sky dimension will look like this: http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Sky_Dimension
-Red Dragons and Dragon Lairs: Dragon Lairs will be rare lair-ish things on top of mountains 160 blocks or higher They will be mostly stone, with some precious ores or lava. In them live 1-4 red dragons, as well as some baby dragons because the dragons lay eggs sometimes. Dragons are neutral and will only attack you if you hurt them or come into their lair, however they will hunt animals like sheep and pigs. Dragons have three ways to attack: They can breathe fire, bite, or scratch, and since fire burns down forests and stuff, players will probably want to kill the dragons.
-Return of da sponges, mon!: Coral reefs will be a new structure found underwater. There will be 7 new blocks they'll be made out of: Brain coral, red coral, pillar coral, fan coral, pink coral, young coral, and dead coral. All of the corals except dead coral create young coral around themselves occasionally, and have a chance of becoming young coral when they die. Any one of these corals, when broken, drops 1-3 coral bits. There are two things you can do with bits: place them on dirt or sand underwater to make young coral (that eventually grows into regular coral) or craft 4 of them into a sponge block, which absorbs water in a 5 block radius around it. Then, just to keep things interesting, there will be a new hostile mob, urchins. Urchins spawn at nighttime in the water and they destroy sponges and coral. They look like purple spike cubes with black eyes, and they hop around on the sea floor. They also attack players, and can poison you like cave spiders.
-Fish as a mob: Fish will now be a mob that looks like the fish item except it's 3D and swims around. It will be attracted to the fishing rod and players will now be able to see the fish getting caught. You can also kill fish just by punching, and they will still drop fish, but that's hard because they swim away really fast when someone is in the water.
That's most of the stuff Notch was going to add, and this mod will help show what Minecraft could have been like if he had stayed around. I hope someone makes this a mod.
This is my History of Minecraft, but unlike the other ones, it's based on in-game evidence, not some weirdo making up crap about creeper wars. I'm not going to list all the evidence, that would take too long, but it involved looking at stuff villagers trade, ancient RG structures, mob behaviors, and tons of other stuff. If you have any questions about how I found out a specific thing, just ask. Also, if you find evidence against any of my stuff, say it so I can edit it. Anyway, here it is:
-In the beginning, there was nothing. The gods Notch and Jeb created four worlds, each infinite, and called them the Overworld, the Nether, the End, and a sky dimension that was long forgotten. The unnamed sky dimension was the first, and it was full of life and happiness and all that crap. However, it was too cheesy, and they needed some evil in the world, so they created the Nether, a burning hell of lava, netherrack, and demented insect-like beasts, as ghastly as kittens being slaughtered by Justin Bieber music, so they were called ghasts. Then the gods decided that they needed a world of balance, so they created the Overworld and populated it with slimes, which would later evolve into various creatures, and early fernlike plants, fungi from the Nether, and some bacteria. They made the sun and moon, which would orbit the Overworld. As for the other worlds, the sky dimension was deemed unnecessary, so they never added to it, but the Nether was pretty epic, so they kept that one. Then they looked at the infinite void between worlds, and made a world there, called the End. They put an enormous godlike dragon and some tall shadowy creatures there, but the dragon was evil and corrupted their minds with fear of all living creatures. The creatures soon learned that they could use pearl-like organs in their bodies to teleport anywhere, including into the other worlds, where their fear and hatred made them kill anything that looks at them, against their will. It is said that sometimes you can hear their voices crying for help as they fight something, but their voices are scrambled and backwards. The creatures, along with slimes and ghasts, were some of the first animals.
-Later, in the Overworld, after millions of years, the slimes evolved into other animals. There were early monkeys, cows, chickens, sheep, squid, ocelots, spiders, wolves, silverfish, bats, and many other creatures yet to be discovered. The gods also wanted pigs, but as Notch was creating one, he screwed up and it mutated with ferns, making it a weird plantlike monster. He decided to destroy it with lightning, but that only made it stronger, so he decided to just chuck it in lava, but it exploded when he got close, and its spores spread around the world, hatching the next night, and creepers gradually spread across the world. Then he just made another pig, concentrating this time, and got it right. As the newly evolved animals, and pigs and creepers, were multiplying and populating the world, some slimes remained, in swamps and dark caves deep underground. The most advanced animals at that time were pigs and two kinds of monkey.
-A few thousand years after that, the pigs and monkeys evolved into pigmen, humans, and testificates. The pigmen were the most advanced, and had a lot of trade with humans. Both were very successful. The testificates lived in caves, without much knowledge of crafting, and were bad at fighting so they mostly hid.
-Soon after, pigmen invent mob spawners. They first tested them in small dungeon rooms in caves, away from the civilian population. They also discover the Nether. They build a lot of portals and find that the Nether is full of ghasts and strange withered skeletons. They resemble human skeletons, and how they got there is still a mystery. The pigmen were scared, so they created huge fortresses out of nether brick. Then, they tried to make a fireproof creature that could survive outside in the heat, so they they could learn from it. Using their knowledge of magical GMO and mob spawners, they bring in slimes (because a slime's DNA is primitive and easy to work with) and make them into magma cubes. This works well, but the magma cubes, like normal slimes, are hostile, so the spawners were destroyed and the magma cubes were released into the wild or killed. The surviving cubes would later breed and eventually populate most of the Nether.
-The magma cube experiment still didn't solve the problem of how dangerous the Nether is. Ghasts, Wither skeletons, and now magma cubes still attacked the fortresses, so the pigmen decided to make another creature. This time, it would be a mechanical golem, made out of an organic metal-like substance, so spawners of it could be made. It made and shot fire charges, and they called it a blaze. Blaze spawners were mounted on every fortress wall, and the blazes hunted down ghasts, magma cubes, and wither skeletons and so far, everything was good for the pigmen.
-The testificates invented the iron golem while the pigmen were exploring the Nether, and with golem protection, started making villages.
-The pigmen realized they were safe now that blazes killed all the deadly stuff for them, so they started exploring deeper in the Nether, farther away from their fortresses, and they caught a strange disease. Everyone who got infected would turn crazy and attack everyone else. When someone got hurt by one of the infected people, they would be infected too. Today, we call this disease Vivere Mortus, or the zombie virus. It infected all the pigmen in the Nether, and they abandoned their fortresses, leaving the blazes behind. The blazes stopped killing mobs since they weren't protecting anything anymore, and wither skeletons overran the forts. (Blazes still kill humans though, because humans are after their rods).
-While the fortresses were getting dumped, many zombie pigmen went through the portals and attacked the people of the Overworld. Most of the living pigmen ran off into the wilderness, and would eventually devolve into the modern pig. The humans, however, didn't take this zombie apocalypse lying down. They launched a huge attack, destroying every last Nether portal and killing all of the zombie pigmen, but while they were doing that, the infection swept across their own kingdoms and infected most humans. Once a kingdom was infected, Endermen, the strange shadow creatures from the End, would come take all the blocks from it, so it looked like it was never there. They did the same to pigman cities, but spared the humans' ancient desert wells, pyramids, and temples. Endermen had been oppressed and hunted by the human and pig man races, and they wanted to make sure that if any human survives the zombie apocalypse, they won't be able to continue civilization. A few kingdoms managed to survive, and they are called servers today. However, in non-server areas, it is estimated that there are between 1 and 8 humans per 225 million blocks.
-Testificates were also being attacked, but they were very well protected by iron golems, and their villages did very well. Testificate priests discovered that zombie testificates could be cured with a potion of weakness and a golden apple. They also started a huge mining operation to supply iron for their golems, but some of their mineshafts intersected with the abandoned mineshafts of the pigmen, which had cave spider spawners. These cave spiders killed many of the miners, so the mines were abandoned. Nowadays, they get most of their iron from cave mining and trading with human server kingdoms. While mining, they also found three ancient pigman strongholds, which contained portals to the End that some pigmen must have built before the infection spread. The portals were powered by eyes of ender, a modified version of the endermen's pearls that apparently were designed to rip open the fabric of space-time, making a portal to the End. The testificates removed the eyes in case the endermen use the portals to invade, and they can be bought for 12 emeralds each from village priests.
-The village priests, with their new discoveries in the strongholds, and information from human alchemists in servers, started making potions. Potion knowledge spread from village to village, until everyone knew about it. When that happened, a few people in each village started using potions for evil and hurting other villagers. They weren't like your average criminal, who could just be killed by an iron golem in one shot, and nobody would give a crap. These guys, who now called themselves witches, could heal themselves and cause group damage, which golems weren't trained to stop, so they were instead peacefully tricked into being banished from the village. Most of them chose to live in the swamps, where there were lots of mushrooms, and they could continue their alchemy. However, a few came back to kill the villagers, and now every new golem is trained to kill witches in case that happens again.
-It is now modern times. As far as we know, pigmen are dead. Trade between the humans and testificates is pretty good right now, and they have taught us how to make iron golems and anvils. This is all we know of Minecraft history until new discoveries are made. Here's some stuff that we don't know yet: -How did the wither skeletons get into the Nether, why do they hate pigmen, and why are they so humanlike? Some theories say that they could be undead, corrupted humans who went to the Nether pre-pigman discovery, or that pigmen could have brought humans to the Nether and corrupted them, then covered it up, or the gods are trolling us. There is evidence that the skulls of these wither skeletons can be used in a ritual that summons a death spirit called the Wither, and most servers have outlawed anyone from trying it. Ok, that's pretty much all I know about the origin of Minecraft's stuff, hope you like it.
Well, AntVenom does great Minecraft videos, so a mod for him would have to be amazing. Maybe a mod for playing as a mob. It would work like this: When you're making a new world and choosing the gamemode, you choose Mob. Then it gets you to a menu where you choose what mob you'd like to play as. Once you choose, you are spawned into the world as that mob, not Steve. Mobs have no inventories or hotbars, except the villager and witch. The enderman, zombie, skeleton, wither skeleton, and zombie pigman only has a 1 slot hotbar, and the zombie, skeleton, wither skeleton and zombie pigman only show the armor they have on in their inventories, no items or anything else. No mob has a hunger bar. The controls for a mob are mostly the same, so non-passive mobs click to attack, and in terms of walking around and stuff, but there are some differences for each mob, listed here:
Anything that flies: Controls are the same as someone flying on creative mode, but if you're a flying mob, you can't double tap space to stop flying, and if you do nothing, you'll slowly float down. You can hold shift to not float down.
Squid: No use of arrow keys, point cursor in the direction you want and click to swim there.
Bat: Flier controls, click under a block to go to sleep there, click again to wake up, right click to toggle echolocation (night vision, slows flying speed)
Sheep: Click on grass to eat it.
All breedable animals except villagers: Right click on a same-species animal to breed with it.
Villager: Same as a human on adventure mode, but can't attack. Use "pick block" key to breed (yes, I know how wrong that sounded).
Witch: Same as villager, but has an infinite stack of each potion in its inventory.
Enderman: Right-click to pick up a block or put it down, "pick block" while pointing somewhere to teleport.
Creeper: Can't attack, click and hold to explode.
Zombie, skeleton, wither skeleton, and zombie pigman: Armor is auto equipped, and you have one slot for inventory, so you need to drop stuff to change your gear. Also, don't worry about arrows for your bow, skeletons.
Skeletons and wither skeletons: Right click a spider to mount/dismount it. Remember though, the spider is in charge, not you.
Silverfish: Right click to screech, summons more silverfish from stone, cobble, and stone brick.
Ocelot: Can only attack chickens.
Wolf: Can only attack sheep, unless tamed by a player (if this mod goes multiplayer).
Wither: Right click to destroy blocks, "pick block" to make a big explosion.
That's all the exceptions, other than that, mobs would be controlled like Steve. Hope you make this a mod!
I looked at those mods, they're good, but this mod request is for aesthetic mobs that are only there to make the world look good, not to have any actual purpose, and I think that would be better off as its own mod rather than mixing in with other mods.
the self-defending mob is pretty similar to the behaviour in mobs like Zombie Pigmen and Wolves
I guess they're somewhat alike, but zombie pigmen and wolves are neutral and get provoked by one of their pack getting hurt. Defensive mobs are mobs that try to stay away from you, and hurt you if you get too close.
A while ago I had a suggestion for Minecraft, which went on both Minecraft Forum and Reddit. It was popular, but like all suggestions that aren't bumped much, it kinda disappeared. The suggestion was to add a bunch of aesthetic mobs (passive mobs that drop nothing and are there only for decoration) like the bat. They're all very similar, small rodents and stuff. Here is the original suggestion on Reddit:
The bats from one of my old suggestions recently got accepted, and they are making the night look awesome without doing anything (like I said), so how about adding more animals that make Minecraft look better without actually doing anything. We should call them aesthetic mobs, since they are just there for aesthetics and don't change gameplay much. There will be a lot of them, but they'll be really easy to program since many of them are variations of each other and have the same AI. Here's a list of the ones I thought of and where they live and stuff: RODENTS -Mouse: A small gray or brown rodent. Duh. (All biomes except snowy, jungle and mushroom; gray ones spawn on cobble, brick/stone brick or wooden planks; browns on grass). -Rat: Slightly bigger than a mouse, and it's black or dark brown. (Same biomes as mouse, random color) -Gerbil: A species of rat with a furry tail, so let's make it all brown. (Found in desert). -Squirrel: A bushy-tailed rodent that can climb up any wood block ladder style. It can be red, gray, or black. (Found in forests and spruce forests, but black ones are only in spruce forests). -Tree rat: A rat the size of a chicken that climbs trees like a squirrel. It's brown with a pink tail like rats and mice. (Found in jungles). -Lemming: A dark brown hamster-like thing that jumps off cliffs occasionally, which is just a myth in real life, but this is Minecraft. (Found in all snow biomes and spruce forests). REPTILES AND AMPHIBIANS -Frog: Can be green or brown, jumps around on lilypads, and goes in the water to swim sometimes. (Found anywhere except deserts, snow and mushroom biomes, next to water, most common in swamps). -Toad: A dark brown frog found in the same places as regular frogs but not only next to the water. -Salamander: Can be brown or red, swims a lot but goes on land sometimes. (Found in swamps and sometimes plains or forests). -Turtle: They are green with a brown shell and stay near water usually. (Found in swamps, EH, and forests). -Tortoise: Same as turtle but with light brown skin and doesn't care for water. (Found where turtles are). -Lizard: Can be light green, dark green, brown, or black. (Found anywhere except for snow and mushroom). -Gecko: A smaller lizard that can be any color, like wool. It climbs trees like squirrels and tree rats. (Found in jungles). BIRDS -Cardinal: A small, red bird. You will see it either flying or sitting on a tree. (Found in forests) -Blue Jay: A blue bird slightly bigger than the cardinal, behaves just like it. (Found in forests) -Crow: The same size as a blue jay, but all black. Also acts the same. (Found in forests) -Magpie: Like a crow or blue jay, but, you know, magpie colored. (Found in forests) -Sparrow: A brown bird, smaller than the cardinal. (Found everywhere except swamp and shroom) -Parrot: About the size of a cardinal, can be red, green, blue, yellow, or white. (Found in jungles) -Macaw: A larger parrot. Can be a scarlet macaw, a blue and gold macaw, or a hyacinth macaw. The hyacinth ones are white with yellow on the top of their head. (Found in jungles, rarer than parrots) NETHER STUFF -Soul bug: A small beetle with one of those soul sand faces on its back, same color and everything. (Found on soul sand in the Nether only) -Baby zombie pigman: Already in the game files, just make it spawn with zombie pigman tribes. Note: This is not the child of a zombie pigman, it was the child of a living pigman, then got infected as a baby. That's why they don't grow into adult zombie pigmen. INSECTS AND SMALL STUFF -Firefly: We know what a firefly is. I don't need to describe it, okay. (Spawns at night, despawns in the morning, found in all biomes except mushroom, jungle, desert, and ocean) -Will-o-the-wisp: A small glowing cube (they're balls in real life, but this is Minecraft. Found in swamps) Additional Info: Cats will eat rats and mice.
There's a discontinued mod called Biomes O' Plenty that's really good, it adds tons of new biomes, but the author said it's not going to be updated anymore. Please add it to the mod orphanage.
Hm... How about the red dragon, and pigmen (regular, not zombie) could be defensive.
Also, we could have tree nymphs, which could be territorial and attack you when you try to cut down its tree.
Want more? Boss, Unused, Removed, Potential and Planned.
Allied isn't a type, and neither are unused, removed, potential, and planned.
Edit: Never mind, I just checked the wiki, tamable is now a type, I think that's what you meant by allied. That has to be new, last time I was on the wiki, wolves were neutral and ocelots/cats were passive.

Here's a list of the ones I thought of and where they live and stuff:
RODENTS
-Mouse: A small gray or brown rodent. Duh. (All biomes except snowy, jungle and mushroom; gray ones spawn on cobble, brick/stone brick or wooden planks; browns on grass).
-Rat: Slightly bigger than a mouse, and it's black or dark brown. (Same biomes as mouse, random color)
-Gerbil: A species of rat with a furry tail, so let's make it all brown.
REPTILES AND AMPHIBIANS
-Frog: Can be green or brown, jumps around on lilypads, and goes in the water to swim sometimes.
BIRDS
-Cardinal: A small, red bird. You will see it either flying or sitting on a tree. (Found in forests)
-Blue Jay: A blue bird slightly bigger than the cardinal, behaves just like it. (Found in forests)
-Crow: The same size as a blue jay, but all black. Also acts the same. (Found in forests)
-Magpie: Like a crow or blue jay, but, you know, magpie colored. (Found in forests)
-Sparrow: A brown bird, smaller than the cardinal. (Found everywhere except swamp and shroom)
-Parrot: About the size of a cardinal, can be red, green, blue, yellow, or white. (Found in jungles)
-Macaw: A larger parrot. Can be a scarlet macaw, a blue and gold macaw, or a hyacinth macaw. The hyacinth ones are white with yellow on the top of their head. (Found in jungles, rarer than parrots)
NETHER STUFF
-Soul bug: A small beetle with one of those soul sand faces on its back, same color and everything. (Found on soul sand in the Nether only)
-Baby zombie pigman: Already in the game files, just make it spawn with zombie pigman tribes. Note: This is not the child of a zombie pigman, it was the child of a living pigman, then got infected as a baby. That's why they don't grow into adult zombie pigmen.
INSECTS AND SMALL STUFF
-Firefly: We know what a firefly is. I don't need to describe it, okay. (Spawns at night, despawns in the morning, found in all biomes except mushroom, jungle, desert, and ocean)
-Will-o-the-wisp: A small glowing cube (they're balls in real life, but this is Minecraft. Found in swamps)
Additional Info: Cats will eat rats and mice.
Hope someone makes this a mod!
