Okay, this project is still getting some flak with the installer. My advice, do it manually, don't use the installer.

For those who know what your doing! This is the standard mod installation. Copy paste ect ect ect. Don't forget to delete the META-INF file.

For Everyone else, there's this: (I suck at details though, but there may be a better guide somewhere on the forums)

    - Force update your minecraft, so that its a fresh copy of minecraft.

    - Copy the files in the folder labeled minecraft using WinRAR to your minecraft .jar. (From turtles minecraft folder to the Minecraft .jar)

    - While your there, DELETE YOUR META-INF files. Trust me on this, no mod can run with this here, and it DOES NOT effect minecraft in any way shape or form. (This is just here to make sure the Yogscast Simon doesn't go burning all of Minecraftia down. lol)

    - Close that up and go to the minecraft resource folder. Copy the files from the resource folder from Turtles to the resource folder in minecraft. I normally don't copy whole folders, I open each one and copy/paste the files from one to the other. UNLESS! It's a completely new folder, then I copy it all over.

    - The Matmos_Expansions I just copied into the main .minecraft folder. (Wasn't sure if it was right, but it's running the mods, so I probably did it right.)

    - Finally copy the save over, and the texture pack to the appropriate spots. (We all know how to do this, right?)

    Then enjoy!

Sorry, but I just don't trust those pesky installers. Apparently with so many people having problems with this, I think I did the right course of action. I'm sure you guys put a lot of effort into the installation process, but I think it's best for everyone to just run with a manual. Yeah, it's a pain in the butt if you don't know what your doing, but it yields the best results.

Before I log, I have to ask the creators if they've ever thought of sand traps for a puzzle? Some traps with sand can actually be triggered to fill a room with water/lava/cave-in if done properly. Though not too many adventure mappers use these tricks, tis a shame. Still, if I ever build one, those will be my favorite traps to use.

    deamon5550, I need help.
I get to the bumble bee robot and his mouth moves and it looks awesome but I don't here anything. Then I am given a redstone torch. Please tell me what to do with it :unsure.gif:

Don't worry, but there was a chest with a dialog behind you when you entered... I kinda wish it was directly in front of you so that you would see it and just pick it up... but it was there. You didn't miss much, it was just a recording saying: Evacuation in progress, please go to the nearest shuttle.

As for the redstone torch, that comes into play much latter, hold onto it though, you'll need it.

    Pro's:

-VO's never been used like that before for a minecraft adventure IN GAME! Nice touch.
-Unique scifi adventure, space adventure was well made.
    -Challenging puzzles.
-Great story and was told well.
    -Music was cued in nicely
    -stunning graphical work
    -Wonderful use of mods

    Con's:
-lack there of for direction in some areas. Most specifically, the derelict ship B-E-D room.
-Puzzles were... too challenging, had to cheat on the last 3. sorry, too much lava, and running around blind makes for angry boy.
-Need for greater detailed installation instructions. (You forgot to mention to delete your META-INF file when doing a manual install)

WeasleX's Juicy Juice score: 8 out of 10

I think it needs some polish, but overall, it's a well made adventure map/campaign. If you guy's lightened up a bit on the kill all with fire puzzles and add a tad more direction this would be a perfect map.

YAY! FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT! For all those in the dereclict ship and your in the B-E-D zone this is a HUGE tip for all of you still stuck.

This is a jump puzzle, which does take some time. You can jump from the ledge above the beds to the windows by double tapping the W key, then from the windows you should see some ladders, double tap the W from the farthest window (may take a few try's) Then after getting up there follow the path to the door with the switch. Pull switch. Keep going until you find the first torch in a room up on the left. It's not clearly marked but it is a small notch that you have to hop up on.

For the second torch and the bridge. You'll need to leave the room you found the first torch till you get to that half ladder you grabbed to get up there. You'll need to jump your way to the roof. (If you get to the furnaces, you're half way there. You'll need to hop on the pipes and keep to the left hand side of the room. (Where you see a ladder going up) You're goal is toward the front where the windows are. Once there you should see some pipes going up, you'll need to keep hopping up and up till your on a long strech of pipes. You'll see the second torch there. step on the half fence to jump up there. Grab the torch, then from the door thats fully closed double tap W and jump aim for that center pipe.

I hope this helped, my explaining things suck. To sum up, just keep going up.

    Above:

See, I just did it old school and copied it all into the minecraft .jar and made sure all the resources were put where they were supposed to go. You guys forgot to mention that you need to DELETE THE META-INF file, but after doing that, it worked fine.

OH! I found one of the torches! Now where to put it... stupid derelict ship...

Okay, so I got through and escaped the space station that was under attack. (Nice effects btw) I'm in the ship and I can't figure out where to go from here. I know I can't destroy any blocks, but I don't know where to go from there. I can't get the engines online or get the comm up online...

posted a message on Zenimax vs Mojang news updates
Found the latest news on the Notch vs crappy suey suey Bethesda. (Can you tell which side I'm on?)

    http://kotaku.com/5846111/mojang-v-b...nd-daddy-fight

    http://kotaku.com/5847295/mojang-v-b...-pete-weigh-in

With that I will say this is ridiculous, the name of 'scrolls' has already been used in a video game before, and not in Elder Scrolls. The Secret Scroll Flying Dragon, or Dragon Scroll. These are very similar to the name of Elder Scrolls, and unless Zenimax bought the rights to these names for Elder Scrolls, the lawsuit is null and void, both are games, both have the word scroll. Thus, this seems like a bunch of wind blowing.

I'm not really a fan of Zenimax's products, so I'm probably not going to buy Skrym because of this. Sorry if people get pissed about my self imposed boycott, but I'm just not a fan of their First Person crappy ass games. From now on, I'm not going to buy any Fallout products from Bethesda, or anything affiliated with Zenimax. You don't have to boycott them, and I'm not asking anyone to join me. I'm just tired of Zenimax thinking they can liberally use lawsuits. I know this is how the industry is run, but Bethesda is the worst of the bunch with suits. You sneeze and they sue, this is how they get 20% of their income when they can't out sell the competition.

With that I'll leave you with Zenimax's wonderful way of dealing with everything:

Which is why I think there needs to be better mod support. Every update, no matter how cool, dumps and kills any mods you have active. If Notch worked on some sort of code to prevent this from happening every darn time, I think I could enjoy minecraft better. Again, this is my only gripe for the game itself.

I love the gameplay and everything added, however though mod support is decent, it really could be better.

I don't like the aether it BROKE my map and I couldn't go back in, but the weird thing is that I could go in on mcedit. But anyways its gone due to this mod.

You broke the standard rule of all mods, BACK UP YOUR MAP BEFORE LOADING A MOD! You follow that rule, you'll never complain about mod breaking your maps.

This mod is popular, sure. New item slots, mobs, blocks, dungeons, a new dimension. I get it.

So I'll say it. I can't believe this isn't in minecraft! I'm calling up Notch and troll him to death until he supports this mod! OMG! RAWR! I LOVE THE AETHER!!!

Holystone tools, are you ****ing AWESOME! Gravitite! AWESOME! It's like, we FINALLY GET NEW FREAKING ORE TO MINE! ABOUT FREAKING TIME! How about those birds... oh wait... I really didn't bother playing the mod much... I was just wigging over how AWESOME this place was and my computer crashed over the AWESOME! This mod is SO awesome I wrote a synopsis for you:

Enjoy these fun features, 3 new dungeons all with a unique play style experiance, Ride a Mowa through the game... and if that isn't your thing the Airship mod works great here! Different trees some of which actually drop golden freaking apples, (<- about freaking time), Tools that give you bonuses, (how many mods have that? Really! I can't think of many), new mobs all of which have new attack styles, new weapons, armor, FREAKING CAPES, and enchanted items, I'm just blowing my AWESOME mind here!

I'm in the ****ing Aether!!! YAY!!!!

"It's a whole new expansion to Minecraft, if you fall off, you spawn outside the portal, so YOU DONT DIE!" (Durp)

Its not like I never played this mod, I just thought it was really cool and really buckled down and played the darn thing THEN made my opinion of the Aether... Yeah... Exactly like that, I'm not a 40 year old shacking up with his parents or anything like that. Not me, nope, I take great care in making sure I do research.

For those who play this mod and those who support it, play on and keep posting, this mod needs all the support it can get!

    You're welcome.

    Nope, your welcome. lol

I'd like to take this moment to say, I am pure unfiltered evil, look at me in awe for this is what I do when I get bored.

Sigh... this is my only gripe with Minecraft, the updates shouldn't have this much effect on the mods... We shouldn't have to down grade our minecrafts just to play a mod. That's really something that Notch's team should be working on. (lol like he reads any of our posts.)

Face it, there's just too many people who like this mod, you want to troll, we can be at it all day and neither one will see the point of the other. Troll here if you like, it won't help the over 1000 pages of posts made here most of them in support of this mod.

OH, and btw, every-time you post you really are supporting this mod by bumping it, so please, do keep at it.
