    The new armor is pretty ridiculous, especially full diamond armor. You can pretty much take a bath in lava for a good 45 seconds before you even start taking damage. And then, there's enchanted armor...

    I really hate the new passive mob spawning system. It's pretty sad to see that there's no wildlife outside yoour house anymore, and it also makes it really hard not to starve to death when you start on a long-running SMP server :sad.gif:

    I don't know if anyone has noticed, but I make many forum posts on my iPod/smartphone and it would be really great if there was a mobile version of the forum, mainly to reduce latency issues while typing (*ahem*autocorrect*ahem*) Please post your thoughts on this below.

    Maybe it is because you are recording. That should be a simple answer.

    Yes, I know recording always makes you lag out, but I thought that quartering your framerate was sort of extreme...

    And the fact that you're recording, is also a BIG FPS drop due to the fact that you're, well .. recording!

    Try lowering your render distance, toggle Fancy/Fast graphics, etc.

    I've got Optifine installed, and have most of the fancier effects turned off. I play on fast graphics with normal render distance. I was planning to get a new pc anyway...

    Hello. I've started a YouTube channel recently, and whenever I record my framerate drops to around 15 fps (or so the F3 menu says) as opposed to my usual 50 or 60 fps. However, I've played enough video games to know that the framerate I am getting is lower than 15 fps. I know this since I also, occasionally play Minecraft on another, much slower computer. The F3 menu says I get 11 fps, but it is much smoother than the framerate I get while recording on the faster computer. I record with Bandicam on the YouTube 360p preset with my Minecraft window at the default size. My computer specs:
    4 GB RAM
    AMD Turion Dual-Core 2.20 GHz Processor
    Around 2 years old
    Could anyone help me with this? It's the only reason I can't upload any more videos to YouTube...

    I was playing PE and I noticed a bug - you can place a sugar cane block on snow, even if the dirt block under it doesn't have water next to it. Not a very important bug, but a bug nonetheless. Please fix? I have the alpha 1.3 for Android.

    Why you should whitelist me: I've seen a lot of minecraft videos, and it seems like a really fun game. I realized it would be a lot more fun with other people. I also don't like the ideas of mods other than singleplayercommands, toomanyitems etc. I'm plannin to play on the server as soon as I get minecraft.
    Building experience: I'm not into building so much as the techical aspects of minecraft, like redstone, monster traps etc. My buildings aren't exactly what you'd call beautiful, but I put functionality first. 3/10

    Once I got into Redstone and block properties, I realized you could make a trap with an undetectable trigger: no pressure plate, buttons or tricks! It is based on the fact that you can pick up items through the corner of 2 blocks. Here's the video (with a block-by-block tutorial)

    posted a message on BUD-Based Automatic Self-resetting Sugarcane Farm
    Ever since I've seen a piston BUD, I've had an idea: a sugarcane farm based off of it. Not very practical, as it uses multiple pistons, repeaters and torches just to automate harvesting 8 sugarcane. *Note: The harvested sugarcane must be picked up manually.

    This was just a little project, thrown together in half an hour. I'm sure it can be compacted and improved on.

    So, in summary, if you use domino circuitry in an unloaded chunk, when you enter the chunk, the signs break first, but if there's sand on top if them, the sand doesn't fall-this is probably because the game checks the sand first, sees that there's a block under it, checks the signs and they break. Since the sand was already checked, it stays floating.
    Am I right?
