Sep 27, 2011what would make it really creepy is if the "doppelganger" followed you around, however, he would appear if you look round once, but the next time you look round he dissapears, and keeps on appearing/dissapearing every time you look round, and each time you see him he will have teleported closer towards you until he is right behind you, then he will teleport innfront of you, stare at you for a while then disentegrate into loads of small creatures like scorpions or something that will attack you. OK got abit carried away there, maybe just stick with your original idea lolPosted in: Suggestions

if im not stupid (which i might be) the repeater only adds delay and repeats the signal but does not
hold the ability to make it stay active for a longer time. aint that right?
and in that case and the various ways i've tried to add repeaters to my button activated circuits
cannot make the signal stay active longer than it would without the repeater.
i mean a door will stay open just as long with or without a repeater if its connected to an activationbutton won't it?
hope you get my point :smile.gif:
no your not stupid lol, I hope it didnt come accross as if I was implying that. your right about the repeater, I think I was pretty tired when I wrote that :S. but I meant that you can use repeaters to hold the signal and you can set how long it holds for - look up "monostable circuit" on minecraft wiki. although I suppose it would be more comnpact if you had a button that would do the same job, but I think its more rewarding if you build the circuit.
Sep 27, 2011also has anyyone wondered what would happen if you try and take a pet wolf into the nether? will they stay behind or go through the nether portal with you? cause if they dont then Im just thinking it would be cool if all animals let alone wolves could use nether portals.Posted in: Suggestions

Hello, I would like to suggest an idea to improve the normal Stone button.
I think you should be able to control how long a button is active.
Just like a redstone repeater you should be able to right click a button
to set the time it will stay active.
thanks in advance and thanks for making a great game.
or just the ability to hold a button down, since you could just attach a redstone repeater to the button...
Sep 26, 2011yeh I dont really like my idea anymore. But I think mrwormy's idea is good. maybe you could use ghast tears to make a potion that will give you fire resistance, which could be displayed as an extra health bar that slowly wears down when you come into contact with fire. However if you are damaged by some other means it does not effect this bar and will just affect your normal health bar.Posted in: Suggestions
Sep 25, 2011a harmless mob that can dig tunnels and sometimes tunnel through player built structures. leaves behind molehills. when killed 1-3 mole skins can be harvested and used too make rugs? This mob can be turned off by playing on peacefull because of the fact it can cause damage to player built structures.Posted in: Suggestions
Sep 25, 2011landscape ideas:Posted in: Suggestions
-bigger more impressive mountains, and more likely to be snow-capped
-mountains ranges, maybe even a mountain biome
-volcanic biome, with a new block called pumice(type of volcanic rock)
-structures like stacks, and stumps and arches
-more types of rock e.g granite
-ancient temple ruins
-larger caverns with stalactites and stalagmites and underground rivers
and lastly, not really a landscape idea but what the hell... bats(in caves)
Sep 25, 2011you should be able to drink ghast tears or combine it with something else to make a potion that will mke you invisible to mobs for a limited amount of time. since ghasts are kind of like ghosts, and ghosts are invisible. maybe it could also allow you to walk through walls but that maybe be pushing it a little.Posted in: Suggestions

Sep 25, 2011Posted in: SuggestionsREDSTONE TRANSMITTER/RECEIVER
this is an idea of something that could be added to minecraft, its not something i've made.It will allow you to transmit redstone signals wirelessly, say if you need to activate a mechanism from an input across water or a ravine etc. It could also possibly allow you to build moving bridges.
how it works:
-It has an arrow on it like a redstone repeater, showing the direction of the signal. The tip of the arrow is the front. If you attach redstone wire to the back it is a transmitter. If you attach it to the front(arrow tip) it is a reciever:
-A reciever will pick up a signal from a transmitter.
-It will pick up the signal from up to 16 blocks away
-It will pick up a signal from all directions except from the front of it(for example, this reciever will not pick up a signal: r> t> this one will: t> r> and this one:
because of this it acts kind of like a wireless diode.
-It will only pick up one signal at a time.
-The transmitter and reciever both have a delay of 1 tick
-You can transmit signals through solid blocks
-if more than one signal is sent to a reciever it will pick up the signal from the transmitter closest to it. If they are the same distance away and they both send signals at the same time it will choose a random signal.
in a 3*3 grid:
appeareance: it will look similiar to a redstone repeater, except instead of 2 redstone torches at each end, it will have a single iron bar at one end.
