It's always interesting reading these types of threads, because in the end it the same bits of logic are spewed over and over and then the thread dies, replaced by several more threads complaining about the same thing with the same bits of logic spewed again and the cycle continues. Always a fun read, if only to see what type of replies the topic creator comes up with. That's the only different part. Sometimes ignorance, other times senseless rage.
1)I have on steam TF2.Because I heard that most addons use CS:S as a source engine game im probably gonna buy Gmod+CS:S packet.But what troubles me is will I be able to spawn zombies and combine soldiers if I dont have HL2?

3)One of the main reasons im thinking of buying gmod is because I heard that it has lots of multiplayer gamemodes.Will I have to install thease gamemodes manualy or do I just enter a server and it will download automaticly?
So ever since Minecraft 1.0 when I go to the video settings it says that its recommended to have 64 bit Java in order to run high render distance or something and it says I have 32 bit Java.
So can someone tell me where do I update Java to this "64 bit version" and do I need a 64 bit Windows in order to have it because I have 32 bit Windows

Its is nice that notch has posted 1.8 pre release but it has way too much bugs and i personally wont use it.But its a good thing because Notch can fix the bugs before the release
hunger is going to be horrible... correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't that mean that food will no longer heal health on the spot...? We have to wait until we are healed? *sigh*.
The bow I'm have mixed feelings about, i loved the current mechanics, plain and simple. I don't like the whole have to hold it down then shoot idea.
The brightness i am very excited about, the only reason i skip night time by sleeping and don't venture out in the night is because i couldn't see anything.
Endermen look decent, not as scary as i expected though.
Sprinting seems very annoying to use.

Noone is forcing you to update to 1.8.Just stay in 1.7.3 and let the rest of the world update to 1.8
Also the bow mechanics are better in 1.8 that is called realistic
