Aye, what I thought right from the start. Plus you should've known that this is not the full release yet, so changes will happen.
Exactly, just because you bought it in InDev or Alpha or whatever, doesn't make you the owner of the game. Now, if Mojang were selling stocks and you were the biggest shareholder, THEN you could decide what's wrong and what isn't. But it's not your game. So go with it and make the best of the changes or stop playing.
So does Notch just..really hate his fan now all the sudden? Because hes been slipping in middle fingers lately that have no point what so ever, stuff he knows that doesn't matter, but still would really bother the old fans, stuff like snouts, F key, and now the circular moon and suns...i wouldnt be ranting like this, but he did something on that last one that really pissed me off. He had a vote on which one it would be, and promised that he would keep good on which one won, and in the end who won? Square...by alot! http://poll.pollcode.com/A0qQ And what was his response.....what did he say to the majority of his fans, the people who gave him all that money, a great big middle finger with "The winner is ROUND! :-D " when people questioned him on why he claimed his false statement he said " Naturally, I counted the "do not care" votes as "you decide". Next up, I'm invading a neighboring country." just...wow notch. As I said, this is minor stuff but..its the fact that he completely lied, got alpha junkies hopes up, and then just flipped them off and said, nahh screw you guys :biggrin.gif:....any way thats my rant, whats your guys opinion?
He's not obligated to do what his fans want. If they weren't releasing it until November (meaning none would've played it yet) it would probably be a very different game, but some stuff would be the same. Like the moon, dragons, potions, etc. But by allowing us to play and give feedback, he is able to make the game a bit better. But he doesn't HAVE to accept our criticism. For example, if you were writing story back in middle school or elementary school, you had peer edits. The teacher always said, "Your friends or going to suggest some changes but don't feel like you have to make those changes. It's your story." Same thing. Plus, what are you gonna do about it if he changes all blocks to circles? Quit playing? That's fine, you've already paid.
@Gobbie: Do you mean the potions? I was thinking the same thing. YOu could have Medics in huts on mountains and they could throw health potions down or things like that.
Question: Can I please request for my entire clan to be given build rights? We aren't huge, but it would be a bit of a pain I think to have to have everyone post. If not, that's fine.
In 1.9 pre release 4, all potions can be crafted into splash potions using gunpowder.
Instead of drinking the splash potion, the player throws it like a snowball, and the potion's effects act upon what it hits. Now that harmful potions can be used practically, potions will be more valuble in combat, and milk will become much more neccesary to counteract enemy potion attacks.
Awesomeness. A new use for gunpowder. So, now we must weigh the value of TNT against certain potions.
Well, I've sen it in PR4 and it doesn't look that bad. Now, I agree that square fits better with the square game, but I think we will all get used to it eventually.
That's a huge feature to make toggleable. For al we know, the phases of the moon may affect when dragons come out, when End Portals work, etc. Or it may affect the tides or other things. Now, I don't see why he couldn't make the phases on a square moon other than it looked bad. But once it's been in the game for awhile, we will get used to it. f course, there are gonna be so many whining/troll threads before that happens that I may stay off the forums for awhile
2 bits of feedback. 1. They would need to tell someone, otherwise the only people who would get the capes are the Mojang team's friends and family. Which is kinda incestuous. 2. 1 million creepers is an unrealistic number. 1k is better as long as they're spawned in a steady stream to avoid crashing.
Well yeah. Notch could post something in a weird code on Twitter. Like ROT13 for the enderdragons. If he did something like that, then some people would no if they took the time to figure it out.
TNT that explodes after the chest is destroyed will destroy any items the chest dropped.
Yeah, found that out during my tests... :/ But I made a small piston thing where you pull a lever and TNT goes off after lava falls and breaks the signal. So the TNT destroys the chest and the lava burns everything and makes it hard of the enemy to get in as fast so you can get away.
The final Minecraft release will have the "End Realm" and EnderDragons (). Does this have much strategic value? A guard dog which can dig caves is useful... not that you can direct it at all.
If it's another nether I will be quite sad...
I really hope it brings a slew of new items, ores, mobs and features.
Well, until we figure out more about dragons and the End, it is hard to say what it's strategical value will be. We know that dragons will only be encounters in the End but we don't know if making a use in the End and mooching off the dragons is worth it. Yet.

Yes. And you should be able to switch between all of your capes. But they should be hard and random.
