This idea has already kind of been suggested in the 2x2 crafting thread, There should be a link in my profile.
Over there, they called it a satchel, which is why you didn't find it. Anyways, this is kind of a bit overpowered being another slot, but its on the right track. You should see the 2x2 crafting thread and post up you opinions of it.

Nov 27, 2010I think this is a good idea and surely Notch will notice this with enough support. I think that the sammiches should either be created in stacks of 4 quarter slices, or have a 4-use durability. This is really good, and wont make you die in a panic situation. I hate those times where you are almost dead and you have to take the time of opening your inventory because of the low heart healing.Posted in: Suggestions
Nov 24, 2010Posted in: SuggestionsQuote from Adam222 »WHY IS THIS CAVE FULL OF ORNATE CERAMIC JARS?!
I do like this suggestion. I really do. But I have to be a little conflicted over it, as the idea of finding caves with random ceramic jars in them (containing goodies, no less!) is a little boggling for me. I have absolutely no problem with finding them in dungeons or in the caves attached to dungeons (although it is a little redundant what with the chests containing random items already), and even though it's essentially a lottery-ticket-in-block-form, I love its concept.
I'd have to say pass on this in regular Minecraft, but I think anyone who plans on making a Zeldacraft mod (Zelda-style dungeons and puzzles in Minecraft? Hell yes) in the future should be taking notes-- and these jars would fit pretty well in the "Adventure mode" that I've heard people say they've heard people say they've heard vague hints of from Notch.
This WOULD be a great idea for future Adventure mode. If this is put in the normal Minecraft, then this would really just be a gambling item, if craft-able. If found, then there is no risk, if there is no risk, how is it a gamble?
Nov 24, 2010I have thought of a different PVP idea as well. You should edit this into your post and give me some credit to it at leastPosted in: Suggestions
I call it Tightrope Duel.
You get 2 players, with the same equipment, and put them on a 1-block thick line. Put the "tightrope" over some water, lava, or just a huge chasm, depending on the lethality. I think that full iron equipment and 3-4 hams would be a suitable amount. To win, you must kill your opponent, or knock him off the "tightrope."
Pros: Quick matches, exciting duels, Fast-paced action.
Cons: There may be long lines for large groups, as you can only have two people at a time, but this can probably be solved by having multiple tightropes.
Nov 24, 2010I have another idea that might add-on to this. What it could be that the 2x2 tools are stacked, but limited, kind of like snowballs. Maybe stacks of 4, 3 or some other number. This way, hand tools could be more of a higher-storage tool rather than the 3x3 ones.Posted in: Suggestions
Imagine this, you could have a large shovel that you can only carry over your shoulder, and there is a few hand shovels that you can carry easily. That would be the principal used here. It would make sense that way, since a 3x3 is large and cumbersome and use up more space.

Aye, nor did I realize that diamond-in-stone blocks were smelt-able. It makes since, as that's how you obtain gold and iron, but as he said since the diamond ore usually comes right out of mining the block, it's trickier to know that haha. I think players would be more likely to try that if there were a furnace right next to the chest, or something. xP
Being the labyrinth, you would have to expect that if you knew diamond in stone was smelt-able. And it's more tricky since the reward would be equal to the diamond sword minus the stick. I find it really clever. But if you apply this principal, would that mean smelting coal in stone gets you coal? Just a theory. This is a nice map and i enjoyed playing it, even though im still trying to finish it. Keep things up!

You can then, as Saber Mage said, get sticks from breaking the boat in level 2 to craft a diamond sword. It's perhaps a bit too elaborate of a secret, heh.

They're ore-in-stone blocks, or actual diamond ore? If the latter, you could create a diamond sword using the parts of a crashed boat (sticks). Otherwise who knows... But fireb0rn. =P
Well, it's ore in stone. The game rules said you can't place blocks, but these could be an exception, either that, or you have to smelt it somehow.

Nov 21, 2010Midway in part 1, there is kind of a tower that spirals upwards with jumps on glass.Posted in: Maps
At the very top is a peice of glass that is out of reach. My question is how exactly do you get there? It seems pointless and impossible to get there without cheating. I saw somebody in youtube cheat their way up there and there was a golden apple in a chest.
Does that imply that it is possible to reach that part without breaking the rules? Assuming it is impossible to get there within rules, I would suggest placing a sign that reads "Hey! You cheater!" or something along those lines. Otherwise, I would like to know how to get there.
