posted a message on [32x32] [1.4.7] The End is Extremely Nigh/Vanilla! [Over 250,000 Downloads!][Featured on Curse!] NEWLY UPDATED FOR 1.4.7!
Should host this somewhere other than PMC. It's not responding and not letting me download the pack. Anyone else having this issue?

EDIT: Yeah... They're having SQL errors. Lol, lovely.

EDIT EDIT: Santiago, please re-up this to a more reliable website like Dropbox, mediafire, or elsewhere. I just spent 20mins worth of timeouts/SQL errors/and 404 errors on PMC. It'd make it way easier.

Yeah I'd like to join in on this. I'm not 100% great at doing texturework, but I'm working on the Iron Armor at the moment. I spent a good 1-2hrs last night studying Doku's techniques, (Which is mainly lighting) and I believe I've got it down pretty good. Here's a screenshot of what I have so far, and it isn't much, but any suggestions/critique is welcome. It's been a long time since I've seriously done pixel art.

There's some adjusting that needs to be done on it, example: the eyeholes need to be moved up by a pixel, and I need to trim the faceplate "Cheekbones" back a bit farther. I'm going for a skull look for the helmet, the rest will follow a standard style.

(EDIT: I'd love to add that, you can use Doku's original tiles as a color palette/template. PLEASE keep to the original color palette/template!! I cannot stress how important that is. It's a very stylized pack, and you need to operate in that style. Do some studying on his blocks like I did, it's VERY useful. I don't want to see some ******** coloration or "I added noise" to things.)

[Edit: It'll be easier if the textures that people do work on are in the base "Light" pack first, and the "High" and "Dark" packs come later, since they either only change color or contrast, or add in a small detail. The Light pack is the base Doku started with, make it easier on yourself and use that as a base aswell.]

posted a message on (v1.3+) [Remove Vignette effect]
Not really sure if this belongs here, since it's a texture mod. But, it might help increase your FPS if you haven't considered it before. (especially if you like to play on "Fancy" mode) Putting the video settings to basic or whatever it is mode will remove this effect, but this is specifically for removing it with Fancy video settings.

If you have a photo editing software like GIMP, Photoshop, or Paint Shop Pro (or something that can save transparent textures) just make a 1x1 transparent image, save as a .png named vignette.png, open minecraft.jar, browse to the folder named "Misc", drag and drop your vignette.png into that folder to get rid of it.

If you don't have an image editing software for that, I've made it for you. Just do the same steps above to replace the file. It gave me a decent performance increase as far as FPS goes, that and I can't stand having constant tunnel vision at night.

    Here's the image: http://www.mediafire.com/?tay5qmkax3dq23l

This is what overlays your screen:

The mediafire link I have posted is simply just a 1x1 transparent png to replace that. Vignette is most noticable at night. (Toggle f1 and watch the sides of your game, you'll see it get brighter when your UI disables.)

(Always back up your minecraft.jar before making any modifications to it.)
