May 31, 2013valliant12 posted a message on Magic Bees: Magic themed bees for Forestry; The Successor to ThaumicBeesThe solution to the above problems is to use Prerelease 10 of Extrabees when using Forestry 2.2.6. The crash isn't ThaumicBee's fault.Posted in: Minecraft Mods

I have about 25+ other mods besides the FTB pack, so that's gonna be a lot of work, i was already counting on it being the only option though.
too bad .sadface.jpeg
I did it (I have 102 mods loaded - some my own). It took about an hour but it is definitely worth it. I gave most mods a maximum of 20 block IDs (mods like IC2 got 50) and just started at 257 onwards.

I've been playing with the FTB DW20 mod pack for a few weeks now and recently decided to expand the pack by adding my own mods.
But ever since i did RP2 worldgen isn't behaving anymore.
I've generated a few test worlds and these are the things i saw
I also came across giant lava beams, and i'm guessing that is where my volcanos were supposed to be.
To avoid ID conflicts between mods i used ID Resolver to auto assign item ID's and Block ID's, and i'm guessing (again) that this is the reason why my RP2 world gen is messed up.
The ID resolver changed the block ID's for basalt and rubberwood+leaves
This could easily be fixed if there was a RP2 config entry for the rubber trees and volcanoes, but i can't see them in the config file nor in the ID resolver interface.
Is there a way to fix this stuff or am i f*ed?
Delete all your config files and restart Minecraft. After, make sure IDAssign is disabled and change the other mod's/mods' to work around RP2's IDs.Quote from debal
You can place deployers pointing outwards all around your quarry head, so that it builds netherrack walls around the tunnel the quarry is digging, you don't need to put deployers pointing down, but then you would have lava pools inside the tunnel.
You can put deployers pointing upwards and downwards in one section and in another section pointing sideways.
Before turning on the quarry you must put a stack of netherrack and fill all the slots in the deployer with at least one block of netherrack, so that they only accept this block and they dont take any ores.
He could have an in-line Sorter and, for example, set Netherrack to red with the Deployers only accepting red tubes.

So I'm building a city based on an altered version of the nine circles of hell from dante's inferno. I just can't decide on wether I should have the different tiers ascending to the centre, so have the outermost district of the city at sea level and the innermost at an extreme height, or do it reversed, so have the centre at a deep point. Any thoughts?
Well, when I read Dante's Inferno (ages ago) I always imagined it getting deeper with each ring of Hell below the previous.Quote from Rossmallo
Hmm, that Extrabiomes thing looks good, but...Lemme ask - Hypothetically, what would happen if I had it, then uninstalled it? Would it leave big sodoff holes in the world?
Sorry, I just like to prepare for any eventuality.
Those parts of the world will regenerate. Beware, you may have weird things like mountains cut in half.

To the Mayans credit... they never said it would be the end of the world (They never have actually prophesied the end of the world)... but a beginning of a new age...
The age of Redpower! (I feel like someone has said this already...)
Not exactly of a new age, just a new calendar. Like how most of us change ours yearly.

See, the Mayan's weren't being very specific. Perhaps they meant the end of the 1.2.5 world, and Redpower is just another part of their grand scheme.
Yes I know, I've gone full derp.
Well, the calendar stops at the winter solstice. It is not a big phenomenon unless you are a nerd like myself and love astronomical events such as solstices.

Still wanting to hear about anyone's wizard testificates. Maybe see a screencap or two. I haven't gotten a single one to spawn yet.
I found they spawn in cobble towers that have circle stone. They sell a lot of TC stuff, mostly knowledge fragments. Their towers have a chest with magical loot in them.

And here I was all excited to actually get silk touch for a change..
Of course, it makes sense because of how the ores interact with the Aura. But like I said, it sure would be awesome to have a denatured version of the ore block that doesn't do so for building with - they look really cool and stuff.
Also, we couldn't build with the space blocks in TC2... Always holding back the cool blocks and it's no fair! xD
Are you referring to the Eldritch Stone?
