one time I was just digging a one block wide line along the lower levels of my minecraft world in hopes of finding diamonds...then I pressed F3 and saw that I was on level 13, so I started breaking the top 2 blocks of my line and I found a bunch of diamonds starting at level 16.
Hmmm while the relation to portal is flimsy, I can imagine what a revolution this will be in PvP: Selfregenerating walls. Better start building siegebridges over walls because they'll be able to fix themselves now.
Or Sabotage the wall making device. I will LOVE to see the crazy adventure maps that will be made with pistons. From traps to redstone wiring puzzles.
having to download mods just for an adventure map is kinda dumb though...we'll have to wait until mojang officially implements pistons, which should be pretty soon...oh wait, they delayed that.
The rarity of Clay depends on what seed you have, on the majority Clay's rarity is between Gold and Iron, closer to gold. Some seeds are lucky and get thousands of clay, this is about 20-30% of maps, 10% has clay at the rarity of diamond, and the 60% left is the majority.
