posted a message on End Rod Horse Armor

Unicorns in minecraft? Not exactly! But in the Middle Ages, real horse armor often times had a metal horn, presumably where unicorns have their horn.

I propose creating new horse armor to reflect this! All we would need to craft this item is an end rod and horse armor. Horse armor itself would remain un-craftable. But once you find an end city and get an end rod, you would be able to put an existing piece of horse armor into the crafting table with an end rod, and get roughly what is shown in the image.

One feature of this end rod horse armor could be that since end rods are light sources, when you place the end rod horse armor on your horse, it would act as a light source (the same way as if you had placed the end rod).

I think this would be a fun addition to the game, and give another interesting purpose to end rods!

    posted a message on Unicorns!

I think that something very strong and rare like this would be a great addition to post-game defeat of the ender dragon, something else to search for and it would be worth it to find because of its speed and health and jumping abilities. It might be similar to a horse but that is pretty much the definition of a unicorn.

    posted a message on Unicorns!

Currently there are no unique animals that spawn in dark forests. Unicorns are the perfect legendary animal to spawn in the fairytale-like dark forests, possibly atop a giant mushroom. Their appearance is similar to a white horse, but with a yellow mane, tail, and horn.

    Health: Wild- 30 (❤️×15) Tamed- 40 (❤️×20) | Attack Strength: Easy - 4 (❤️×2), Normal - 8 (❤️×4), Hard - 12 (❤️×6) | Drops: 0-1 red mushroom | Experience: 0 | Neutral, singular spawn, not breedable

Unicorns spawn untamed, and become hostile if attacked by player. Unlike wolves, unicorns can be calmed by feeding them mushroom stew.

Feeding unicorns golden apples improves their "trust" in the player, increasing their likelihood of being tamed by the player. Treats all falls as a quarter of the actual distance, cannot fly. Not lead-able, will not follow player

Tamed and saddled unicorns are even faster than horses. They can run at 15.5125 blocks/second. All unicorns can jump high enough to clear up to five blocks

Taming depends on the unicorn's "temper". When a player first mounts the unicorn, the temper is 0 out of 100. The player is bucked off and the temper is increased +5. Temper can also be increased +5 by feeding it golden apples. The unicorn becomes tame if the temper exceeds 100

Similar to the dragon egg and end cities, unicorns only spawn after the player defeats the Ender Dragon. Another possibility is creating a "unicorn saddle," (small percentage of end city chests may contain the saddle), and unicorns can only be controlled with one of these saddles

posted a message on Stray Wolves in Villages

Wolves are Steve's best friend. Just like stray cats were implemented into villages, stray wolves should also be implemented. If there are stray cats in villages, it only makes sense that there would be stray wolves too. The community has wanted different colored wolves for a long time, and now is the right time because of the recent update to cats. This would include new textures for wolves, and instead of spawning in random variants like the cats, the stray wolves could match the biome the village is in. There could be arctic wolves in snowy taigas, timber wolves in taigas, red wolves in savannas, black tundra wolves in snowy tundras, ethiopian wolves in deserts, and iberian wolves in plains. Since wolves are rare, perhaps the number of stray wolves in a village can be a percentage of the number of beds in that village, with no guarantee that a wolf will spawn there at all. Wolves are really useful and it would be great to see more texture diversity!
