That's the point of the power saver option; by limiting FPS, your computer uses less power. The human eye can only see at 30fps so it should be fine to use.
The versions:
- HD_G - standard OptiFine
- HD_S_G - OptiFine Smooth, replaces MTL, smooth chunk updates
- HD_MT_G - OptiFine Multithreaded, can use second CPU core
What is new:
- Fixed handheld item rendering for HD textures, also works in third person view and multiplayer
- Fixed dynamic fire texture
- Added Zoom - press 'C' to test, very useful on FarView
- Added Smooth Input - fixes unresponsiveness, stuck keys and delayed or repeating sounds.
- Reorganized settings
OptiFine Smooth replaces Multithreaded Light (MTL) which was having too many problems and most importantly was not compatible with mods which do custom rendering with texture switches. It should also be much more stable.
OptiFine Smooth works by splitting the complex chunks in pieces and then traditionally loads them on the rendering thread. By deciding how many pieces are to be loaded per frame it is able to distribute one complex chunk on several frames or load many simple chunks in one frame.
Please test and report back.
Ohh yesss. That item rendering fix is the best ever. Even if you use OptiFine only for the HD textures, it makes it 100% better than MCPatcher, because as far as I know it still has that bug.
Hrm. Notch is apparently reworking the biome code at the minute for 1.8... On the plus side, potential for rivers, and presumably coding for them, which suggests the possibility for villages that only spawn near rivers. On the down side, it does mean there MAY be problems with working out which cultures spawn where... Damn that man throwing us such a curveball with 1.8 :tongue.gif:
I'm seeing a potential for a fishing building. Millénaire is already keeping track of where water is, it shouldn't be too hard to make a building require a few blocks of water at the back to allow it to build on rivers.
Why does the village wand only show the indian village blocks now?
It doesn't even work on the blocks it normally did (diamond block), it completely ignores obsidian, not even showing the message about what blocks it can use.
It looks like the game will only generate indian villages automatically as well...
... Ok, fixed that start: tag and reuploaded. Stupid bug. Not sure how you are getting three however, the mansion being in the core folder is normal. Did they build the second one "for free"?
Well the mansion that spawned with the town doesn't seem to actually be a building, on the map it shows up like it's player built. The mansion I requested hasn't actually been built yet (doesn't have the resources), the one that I gave them the resources for and watched them build was actually the starting one again. So a mansion spawned when the town spawned, they forgot it existed and asked for the resources to build it again... and are now asking for resources to build the one I actually asked for. :tongue.gif:
I'll hazard a guess and say that if you don't have the correct rep when the building is spawned the town deletes it from the map, which is why it tried to build it again once I had the right rep.
gah how can you tell the difference? they both look the same
One is yellowy brown, one is white. How can you not tell the difference? :tongue.gif:
Also, an alternate solution to the tree problem, I put a roof 8 blocks above my quarry, and so far it's prevented any large trees from growing. So if large trees are annoying you that much, you can try that, just don't use transparent blocks or the leaves will probably destroy them.
While I was testing it in-game, I thought I may as well take the opportunity to grab a screenshot of the builder holding the cooked brick while building with mud bricks.
It takes practice :wink.gif: But the quarry holes are particularly tough, with their irregular shapes.
I tried making a few of varying sizes (without the building, that'll be the same unless you want to make a new one), if you like any of them I'll get on to converting them into PNG.
Ah, that. What is needed then is some variants for the quarry, with the same general layout and possibly the same house, but differently-shaped holes. Anybody feels like volunteering? :wink.gif:
I might give it a go (since I'm the one complaining about it :tongue.gif:), but I find it hard to imagine what the layered images will look like in Minecraft. It's too bad I'm terrible at coding, I had hoped to make a program that imported the images and rendered them in 3D, while allowing you to edit them as well.
More variety? In what way? I was thinking of having upgrades "clean up" the hole a bit though, making it a bit more like the Norman one.
And two brick kilns are a possibility I guess. Why don't you try it? :wink.gif:
Basically to make the destruction look a bit more random. I have 3 quarries all with identically destroyed holes, maybe the guy that dug them out is big on consistency... but it still looks a bit silly.
You're redirecting people to the wrong bugs page! Known bugs/latest is for release versions, you should be linking to Known bugs/latestweekly for weekly versions.

Wrong, most people can see up to 120 FPS.

Also fire looks fine now, so that's good.

If I Recall Correctly.

Nope, I have zeppelin and it works fine.

Mine do, I edited NeilZar's texture. You can even see a cooked brick building in the background that has lines.

Same dimensions and layers as the original, so you should be able to copy-paste the originals text file.
