    If I'm not mistaken, the flags just mean those are things Java picked up but don't necessarily mean something was wrong. I removed the -Xmx3G -Xms3G in the cmd and I still had the same problem, though Java picked up 0 flags. Java's updated and I'm running on a 64bit version of Java on a 64 bit machine. Is there any other information you need?

    posted a message on Server is not allowing me to join, it freezes at "Downloading Terrain" then boots me out with a Time Out Error
    Hey all, I've been having some majorly annoying issues where when I set up a server everything seems to be going just fine until I try to join it. I'll try to provide as much information as possible.

    • I have port forwarded correctly, I used a site that checks ports and it was able to connect to the same one I set up for Minecraft (25565, the default port)
    • The console tells me I connect to the server and says I log in, but the client freezes at "Downloading Terrain" for about 30 seconds before timing out
    • None of my friends are able to connect, though the console says they're able to log in as well
    • On the Multiplayer screen, my server shows up as being able to connect
    • I know the client is able to connect because if I quit the server while someone is connecting, they get an error that says the host terminated the server
    Here's a copy of the log, where you can see for yourself what the console tells me:

    Will it work for 1.7.X?

    I honestly haven't taken a look at the later version of Minecraft after 1.7.2, how the code works probably changed between the version, enough to where it would render my mod unable to work. If you want to give it a try, go ahead, but don't hold your breath. I've been a little busy with college stuff and moving so I haven't been able to touch on my mod for a while, plus I'm coding an actual game so I have all that on my plate x) sorry if this is an inconvenience, I can probably try to get it working for 1.7.10 if people want me to

    My friends and I use this mod on our private server, and it's huge amounts of fun. I like how the mobs get extra health as you go down, it gets extremely difficult and hectic, and I love it. Thank you for this mod, it's very well done!

    posted a message on [1.7.2] Help with item subsets?
    For instance, here's what I'm trying to do.

    if (isItemId(i, new ItemStack(Items.fish, 1, 0).getItem(), j, new ItemStack(Items.fish, 1, 0).getItem())) {
    return new ItemStack(Items.cooked_fished, 1);
    }

    I want it to check if the first slot has cod in it, and if the second one has cod in it as well. I made it grab the Id from a new ItemStack equal to a fish with the subset of 0, which is the subset of cod. But, the way the code works, it needs an item and not an itemstack, so I put the .getItem() method after it. But the problem with this code is any fish will work, cod, clownfish, and blowfish in any combination in either slot return a cooked fish, and I don't know why

    posted a message on [1.7.2] Help with item subsets?
    Item subsets are a pain to deal with. Dyes, fish, wool all work with subsets and Minecraft has such a convoluted way of checking for items with subsets.

    I need help checking if an item id is that of an item with a subset. If you just use Item.getIdFromItem(Items.wool) or something similar, it returns the id of wool, but then any wool will work. Let's say you want whatever you're doing to only work with orange wool. I don't know what to put to have it check.

    Putting Item.getIdFromItem(new ItemStack(Items.wool, 1, 1).getItem) doesn't work, because it still works for any wool. What I'm trying to do is make my alloy furnace smelt 2 fish together, but fish have subsets, and I need it to work with Cod (the normal blue fish) only. The subset for Cod is 0. There's no code in the ItemStack class that gives the subset, and I have no idea how to make it work.

    Here's a piece of code from my furnace recipe class to see what I'm doing:

    public static ItemStack getSmeltingResult(int i, int j) {
    return getOutput(i, j);
    }

    public static int getSmeltingResultStackSize(int i, int j) {
    if (getOutput(i, j) != null) {
    return getOutput(i, j).stackSize;
    }
    return 0;
    }

    private static ItemStack getOutput(int i, int j) {
    if (isItemId(i, NaturalCraftMain.carbonDust, j, NaturalCraftMain.carbonDust)) {
    return new ItemStack(NaturalCraftMain.anthracitePiece, 1);
    }

    return null;
    }

    public static boolean isItemId(int firstItemIdToCheck, Item firstInputItemId, int secondItemIdToCheck, Item secondInputItemId) {
    return firstItemIdToCheck == Item.getIdFromItem(firstInputItemId) && secondItemIdToCheck == Item.getIdFromItem(secondInputItemId) ||
    firstItemIdToCheck == Item.getIdFromItem(secondInputItemId) && secondItemIdToCheck == Item.getIdFromItem(firstInputItemId);
    }

    The refined alloy furnace can not smelt all thing like the regular furnace.

    Well, it's not supposed to, but I can try to make it do that. Item subsets are tricky to deal with and I might change the recipe so it's harder to make the alloy furnaces if they'll act as a better normal furnace.

    About compatibility with other custom dimensions added by other mods, you could develop a dependencies system, in which detects if there is another dimensions, and then, generate in them.

    Actually, I got it to work! Just had to do with how the ores registered how they spawned. What you said is basically how the ore spawning works in general, but once I figured it out it was easy, so thanks for the suggestion.

    Loving the new updates! I feel like not enough attention is being brought to this thread. To say my thoughts about the poll:

    More ores?
    This mod adds a plentiful amount of ores to the mix, nothing more or less. If you ask me, I don't think there should be more ores. Your main goal for this mod is to balance the tier system, and adding more ores would be either redundant or overpowered. Heck, it could have stopped at red diamonds. Aether metal is an endgame prize, obtaining it is much harder and it really sees no use until you've spent several months working on a survival world. (exaggeration, but hopefully my point was conveyed)

    Weapons & Armor
    I'm all for new weapons. I'm certain that adapting these metals into weapons from other mods such as Balkon's Weapons, Mine & Battlegear, would take this mod up to the next level. I've never seen an ores mod do this, so you should start the trend! Other mods that add defensive items such as shields and whatnot also apply to this.

    More Blocks
    More blocks...hmmm. More aesthetic choices are great, but how would you go about adding more blocks?

    First off, thanks! I try to keep updates interesting! I wish there was a little more activity in this thread, so I'd know more concretely if my mod is what people want.

    Ores:
    I understand where you're coming from. I feel there's enough ores as there is so I took that off as a poll selection.

    Weapons and Armor:
    I'm 100% new on implementing other mods, so I'm not too sure on how I can make that work, but some weapon ideas I have are things like extra bows and arrows, plus I'm thinking on making a new mod called Infinite Alloys that allows the player to smelt 4 of the base components (Iron, Gold, Diamond, Emerald) into a Tier 2 alloy, then smelt tier alloys together to create new alloys and being able to mix and match all sorts of alloys together to create tools and armor. I think I know how I'm going to get this done, I just need to start on the coding.

    Blocks:
    Well so far all the blocks I've added serve a purpose, I don't have any blocks strictly for decoration. I could probably just make some new blocks for decorating purposes that just implement crafting recipes from current materials, stuff as simple as that.
