unlockable achievements, theres not much to say about it because they are very well known
some examples:

achievement             : unlocked by...

punch first think later : fight a zombie pigman
oh look! its more dirt  :  fill a large chest with dirt
really hungry           : eat raw meat
this is minecraft!      : kill an enemy mob making it fall
boom! BOOM!             : activate tnt using more tnt
diabete                 : get  2 stacks of sugar

He's just trying to be nice to his furnace and give it something it likes. No need for a flame war over what your Furnace eats.

ok. but thats minepedia's opinion this is what the furnace likes ¬¬

i ran out of coal and decided to make a little experiment. whats the best way to burn wood logs?
so i started making glass with the sand my neighbor gave me and those are the results :biggrin.gif:
with 1 log i got 1 glass block
with 4 wood blocks (the ones you can take from 1 log) i got 6 glass blocks
and with 8 sticks (1 log → 4 wood → 8 sticks) i got 4 glass blocks

so there you go, if you use wood in the furnaces remember to use the wood blocks instead of logs or sticks

i know coal is easy to find but i didn't want to dig >_<

make your furnace happy chop the wood before feeding it!!
