Months(and one more graphics card driver update) later it actually works(somewhat)!

NOT! It worked for a time(not that smooth, though) on Avant, but then one of those system tray balloons popped up (it was just solid white :? ) and when I pressed ESC, the game (and browser) froze. Ever since then, when I tried to play infdev(on all browsers), it was just a black screen, then a black screen with the gray rectangle around it(like what happens just before the minecraft logo comes up("switching applet")) .

posted a message on Iron deficiency
I don't get much either. My experiences on my two main saves most recently:

WATER PLAYGROUND: I'm currently out of iron. I made 1 minecart and one bucket(no tracks  )
This was with a vein in the trench I was digging. That is all gone now, and being an older save, there are no caves  . Now all I can do is play with my bucket.

INLAND SAVE: In this level, I live with a small wooden house-on-a-tree. I have crops growing, and a GREAT coal mine right under me. I also have a cool temple to the sun and/or notch (dirt, cobblestone and a buncha torches, also 8 doors). It has a sacrifice pit (that seemed to work :? ) too! The only thing missing was iron. I looked all over the place! Then I looked at my map. I thought I saw lots on the surface to the northeast. I went there INSTANTLY. It turned out to be gravel on stone, and a bit of coal. I ventured further. I came apon a cave, after passing mushrooms on the surface. Weird! Anyway, the cave was somewhat of a maze, so I didn't explore too far. I would've gotten a case of the :? confuzzles :? . I came out with 14 iron *boo hoo hoo*. I got coal on my way back. I just made a bucket, some track and a cart. That was all the iron i could get in the nearby area *boo hoo hoo*.

Every sunset I stare through here (from the top of a low tree).I believe that Notch lives at the center of the sun, so I do this in his honor. 8-)

EDIT: now with doors surroundingthe entrances! Plus:

a sacrifice pit! I put meat in(and two yellow flowers :? ) , and now there are more pigs! (the saplings represent growing things(trees and crops) both of which I am growing right now, and want to grow faster.) Unfortunately, the first things I put in were cloth blocks. you know what happened next. I got bumped all over the place! :ohmy.gif:

posted a message on A quick way to protect chests in MP survival!
Make a maze (with the entrance behind a painting(or, if books/journals/map books/screenshot albums are added,a large bookshelf), to confuse thieves with reverse-psychology), put a fake chest at the correct end, then the real one three blocks below.

Okay, I'm back, and this time on Firefox. Time to play infdev. And Ive already checked Java. I am now temporarily leaving this topic to forum-surf and play MC itself. :wink.gif:

EDIT: Months(and one more graphics card driver update) later it actually works(somewhat)!
I've also fixed my Vista computer(reinstalled java tons of times) and it works perfectly, but now I can't use that one for other reasons :sad.gif:.

I know you said indev, But are you sure its not infdev? Says top left of the screem.

It was indev, but I updated my graphics card driver software(it was from 2003! :laugh.gif: :ohmy.gif: :laugh.gif:) and now everything's fine, but infdev is the same as indev was before. Topic NOT closed. Also, it wasn't seven
squares, but seven seconds. The bug was not exclusive to indev, either.(I had tried creative mode, too.)

DavidD, my OS is Windows XP (I also have a Vista computer, but when I try to play any Java online game on it, the browser crashes :? )

I am trying to play /indev/ and when I load it it seems fine, but every time i move seven squares or so, it freezes up, then I have to click outside of the window to pause it, then when I click ''return to game,'' the process starts all over again!HEEELLLPPPP!!!! :?

I was spawned on top of a tree. So i built a treeplatform. I made one wall to protect a spider-vulnerable side(too close to a hillside) and some pits(I call them "gladiator pits") that I led monsters into, to fight to the finish. I eventually got bored and tried to create another gladiator pit so I could expand my platform, but put TNT in the wrong place, and ended up blowing myself into the newly-created(and also monster-filled) pit. I was instantly zombiepwned.
