    I just thought that a cat block should occasionally delete, spawn a cat mob, have the cat MOB walk to another position on cobblestone, brick, obsidian, planks, or other crafted blocks near(five blocks?) it, then despawn and put a sleeping cat BLOCK placed there. Kinda like sand that moves when it decides to, and horizontal.

    Nah, Notch himself said that he didn't like the idea of special blocks being required to make a floating structure. However, I would like more steps (sandstone, log, even gold) and sandstone, smoothstone, and cobblestone upside-down stairs(collision=normal block collision) for cooler-looking pillar tops. Certain gold sculptures might also be nice:

    Reinforced Wood Shields should make up the "stone" tier for large shields, crafted like this:

    Since a big shield made out of stone would be too heavy to be anywhere NEAR realistic, and also sounds kinda fragile. And why no wooden shields? They existed in real life...

    You know, you could've at least made the sprites have ONE level of shading... Facepalm @ horrid art, and don't even THINK about using "mspaint iz crap" as an excuse.
    Nice ideas, corn should heal over 4 uses, and heal .5 for each use for raw(raw corn heals too little, and you gotta admit, corn is good to bite into no matter WHAT,) and 1 per use for cooked. Also, it would be cool if the item image changed for every bite you take out of the corn.

    -My response to this idea-
    Eh, I like magic(or magecraft as I like to call it, sounds like Minecraft) in Minecraft to be mixed. I want some combat magic in every element, but not OD or OP obviously. I also want some-but-not-too-much-or-OP building magic, which is what's missing(other than the Ice Staff).
    -My general thoughts about magic-
    One thing that annoys me is when someone says "redstone is only a simplified version of wire. Any magic should use other substances." Someone explain the way redstone powers compasses, keeping in mind that a compass points towards spawn, not north. Also, I'm not opposed to potions, but I don't think mana is a good idea.
    -My Idea-
    I think that a basic staff, crafted from gold, sticks, and enchanted diamond(diamond crafted with 4 redstone) should need to be imbued with different magics(from mushrooms, magical ores , etc. ground up) to have any special effect, or else they just fire a pew-pew magic knockback missile at a slow rate. The special effects include slow-fire fireballs, healing, influencing saplings to grow into large or huge trees (even with 4 by 4 by 16-ish trunks!) or to grow into a special kind of tree, or turning pigs controllable or Zombies allied(using a whole Enchanted Diamond in the process), etc.

    The way to choose the type of magic is the material you infuse, and the way to choose exactly what spell to use is a rune (rune menu opened by pressing R with the imbued staff equipped, then you put dots on a 9 by 9 grid to make the rune you want), which stays equipped until you switch or the staff runs out of energy(The staff has a set amount of uses before you have to re-imbue it, this isn't a personal stat like Bubbles or HP).

    All the new materials belong in the Aether or the theoretical ice-realm of Cryoterras(ice-earth I think, searched it on Google and found nothing at all) except the Ice Shards, which are a great idea. Also +1000 to the icepicks. Wall crawling FTW!

    Lawl, I love necromancy, both in the forms and the game. Aaaaaaaanyway, you should be able to craft four slimes into a larger non-hurtful slime. Also, they should NOT f-ing despawn. That would suck ballz. Or rather it would suck slimeballs...

    And a slime of any sort should make some sort of indication that it is about to despawn, such as its face becoming sad(creeperface ?), so that you know when you should scoop up Squishy before he dies from neglect, or that you only have to run from the Megasquisher for a few more seconds.

    This is awesome. I don't download mods, though, so I just hope Mojang puts them in the game. I just thought that the bottom of the map should be made out of super-de-duper bouncy blocks the color of the sky that propel you to the top of the map when you fall onto them. Or cover the bottom in controllable clouds which can be used to craft flight boots(hold space to fly) that are Aether-only in their abilities, and can also be ridden like flying boats(space to go up, S to go down, WAD to turn/go forward) back to the islands, but break apon touching a non-cloud solid or liquid block, or being placed in the Overworld. They should also spawn rarely touching other cloud types.

    ...this needs a warning about RAM/CPU usage. Without it, dumb people with junk computers will just attempt to make a server, then suddenly find themselves with a crashed computer and have no idea at all why. If Mojang gets enough money, they MAY be able to pay for having a big server hosting place host all those servers, so you don't have to deal with the lag of running a nondedeicated or old-computer-based server, especially if you have to pay a small amount each month per server for a hosted-for-you server. Or have an option for both. Of course, even that way, noobs will whine about not being able to have a lag-free, easy server for free, but creepers gonna creep, whiners gonna whine I guess.

    The whole Block-Grid Entity thing would also be cool in the Aether. I just thought of instead of cloud-bridges, there could be clouds that you can steer to the next island, like a flying boat that controllably moves along a three-dimensional area instead of a flat plane, and is made of multiple blocks. Also stuff that bobs up and down one block in the air, a "hovering" motion, IYNWIM.

    EDIT: I just realized that it would be cool to have a cutscene implemented when you finally place the engine, or sail, or "boat block," or what-have-you-else, where you see your character turn towards the boat, then look all the way around it, then, with a poof of smoke, teleport to the closest possible spot to center of the first surface with space(at least 1 by 2) of the boat/airship, or the captain/pilot seat if that's how it works.
