I've been uncreatived... I'm losing my city anyways because of SWMS.... awesome.

You were given creative for the sole purpose of making instances. The towns on this server are built with people doing work to get their supplies. If you wanted to make a huge city, you should have consulted me first.

come people get on, so we can RP

JUST SO EVERYONE IS CLEAR: Loki has been banned for abusing his creative powers. Do't get mad just because Loki is gone. Continue playing because we have a lot of surprises in store once we get the player base up.

Also AMX why did you grief your own castle?

Sydney is open for the public.

Alright Loki since you haven't responded to my message and won't listen to AJ I'm posting this here.

I gave you creative for the sole reason of making instances because you said you could do it better. You then went on to level a plateau and make a city on top in creative. I did not say you could do that. The server is survival and towns are meant to be built with hard work. The city also does not even fit in with the theme of the server. It looks Nordic in a post-apocalyptic setting. I'm going to close off your city and you will not be getting creative back until you prove otherwise that you can handle yourself.

I don't know AJ gave me that I just posted it.

The alien dude cracks me up every time, I saw your town and I knew right away who was really behind it. XD

I will not whitelist anyone that doesn't post his or her app in the new official webpage. You can post it here to, but USE the new webpage.
You think we could add that to the OP TJ??? Events and everything else will be organized there, so it only makes sense we start using it right away.

    Cheers

Also one more thing, I know I am busting someone's balls with this (LOKI ! ) but we do need on SPECIFIC SWMS sub forums, because battles and other books have to be written and then can not all be in the OP or it will be a cluster ****.

    cheers

I really don't care in what section you put it , it just has to be like the ones we have for factions and such.

For the SWMS you just need to tell me what you want to name them and how to organize them and ill ask loki or you can message him.

Also for the apps, they can apply here or the website it doesn't matter. This thread was created for apps anyways.

Where did you find out about where these cities are? I've never heard of the ones to the north... or are they stranded villages?

    Hey Guys,

Sorry, I haven't been on, and probably won't for a bit. Trying to recover from a tragedy. A friend of mine was killed this weekend in a motorcycle accident. He was 37, had a wife and kids and was an all around great guy.

It's hard to roleplay when real world events throw you for a loop. I'll be back when I get my head back together.

Live your lives to the fullest.

Sorry to here that, I'm sure he was a great guy.

    Second character

    In Character (IC)

Name: Real name: Trevor Sorrells, Alias: Venom Actual

Faction (Optional): None, he wanders the wastes on his own, unphased by its wrath

How old is your character: 36

How does your character act? He is a very reserved person, not very social at all. He only speaks when absolutely necessary. He has a very short temper and it does not take much antagonizing to make him snap, which he then has been known to hurt people. He is a very intimidating figure, at a height of 6 feet 6 inches not many people will go near him, not even raiders. He has been made a very cold and unforgiving person from his time being battered around in the wastes, it’s best not to cross him.

Does your character have any family or close friends? None at all. He had family, but they perished long ago and it wasn’t a gruesome death, truth be told. They simply could no longer take the inhospitable weather of the wastes and died trekking through the snow, forever buried by its endless expanse.

Is your character educated (Read and write)? He is actually quite a very smart man, but it wouldn’t seem as such from looking at his outward appearance. He can read perfectly and write just as well, although his hand writing isn’t very good. He is a very deep and outward thinker and thinks of much more than what he currently sees in front of him.

Does your character have any special skills or proficiencies? He is a very skilled combatant. His father taught him how to defend himself from an early age. He’s good with ranged and melee weapons, but excels at neither. He has been made a cold, unforgiving person from his time in the wastes which can give him a moral edge, but this can also be a horrible hindrance.

Does your character have any weaknesses? He isn’t one to mine or dig things out. He usually just finds ways to trade for the things he needs. He is alright at building, but anything beyond a small house or hut gets a little complicated.

Does your character hate or fear anything? He has learned to fear nothing, not even death. He has stared death, unblinkingly, in the face more times than he can count. He has become cold and calculating, but this, more than anything, drives people away.

Your character’s story so far (At LEAST 5 paragraphs): Trevor was born in the ruins of an old road side gas station in northern Australia. His family travelled with a small group of around 10 people. They moved from town to town looking to trade and survive. The group never settled down because there was really no reason, the world had gone to **** and there was no rebuilding.

From an early age Trevor was taught how to defend himself. His dad worked with him on his aim every day to make sure he could hit a target at least 400 meters. His dads close friend taught him how to properly use a knife, if it came down to it. Trevor was helping the family fend off raiders and thieves from as early as 13. It was apparent by then how big Trevor would actually be. At 13 he was 5 feet and 9 inches. Not many people were that tall nowadays.

As the group continually pushed through the wastes, never stopping and not looking for anything in particular, the gradually died off or stayed behind. It was sad really. The group had a good chance when there were 10 of them, but as the numbers slowly dropped the world became a much harsher place. By the time Trevor was 17 it was only him and his parents. They did what the group had always done, roamed. They went and saw the sites of Australia that were amazing things to see before the war like Ayer’s Rock and the Great Barrier Reef, now iced over, but now they were only death traps and crypts.

When Trevor was 23 his parents couldn’t take the constant travelling and the grueling weather. They sat down in the snow at the base of a large rock and Trevor turned around to ask them what was wrong. They simply said we’re done. It’s time to sleep. He nodded at them, turned, and continued on his never ending journey. They were buried underneath the never ending snow and lost in existence.
Trevor never once looked back and never once returned. He’s not even sure he could find the place if he wanted to.

He continues his never ending journey to this day. He doesn’t let anyone get close to him because he doesn’t stay in any town for more than a few days. He is usually left alone by raiders and highway men because of his intimidating size and appearance. He keeps everything he owns in the pack on his back and anything else he needs he trades for with people in the town. He has been dubbed a ghost and a phantom by some. They see his figure roaming the wastes, alone, with his duster fluttering in the snow. If he is ever asked his name he simply says Venom Actual. No one knows if that’s his name of a code of some sort, but no one currently alive knows who he really is.

Provide an example of a role-play situation with some dialog (At least 2 paragraphs):

Trevor is wandering along a broken highway when 3 men slowly approach him.
They hold up weapons and tell him to drop his pack.
Trevor simply stares at each one of them, studying them.
They get closer and wave their guns in his face and he still only stares at them behind his red tinted gas mask.
One gets a little closer and pokes him with his gun.
Trevor swiftly grabs the guns and snaps the man’s arm before dropping the weapon, with a clatter, to the ground.
The others jump back and fire warning shots above him.
Trevor simply looks down at the whimpering man and cocks his head to the side.
The man yells, “What the hell are you looking at?”
“Your dead friends,” and with that he pulled out his pistol and put 2 bullets into each man’s head before they could react.
The man on the ground stared at his lifeless friends dumbfounded and when he turned around to look at Trevor all he was the fluttering duster disappear into the blizzard.

Describe what your character looks like and provide a picture of the skin: He wears an M40 gas mask at all times with red tinted lenses, so no one can see his eyes. On his heard he wears a cow boy hat to keep him warm and keep off the rain and fallout. He wears a Duster over all of his other clothing, but despite this he is not a Duster. It is simply to keep him warm and dry. Over his Duster he has a military 3-day pack to keep supplies in. Under the duster is a combat tactical vest to carry weapons and ammo, and under that is a camouflage t-shirt. He wears padded, water proof pants to keep him warm and make it easier on his knees when he crouches. He wears combat boots to keep his feet warm and to avoid any complications with his ankles or any other part of his foot.

So it seems I will be hosting the server after some unnecessary internal conflicts. Once i get the server from AJ and get my 16 gigs of RAM in the mail (they sent me laptop RAM so i have to send it back) we will be back in business.

On a side note; I will be making a forum for us this week and I will provide the link when it's up.

EDIT TO OP: Snow- Fallout, which is a radioactive, dust like, particle that falls to earth after a nuclear detonation. It has been circling the globe since the bombs first fell. Contact with the skin can cause severe, possible 3rd degree, burns and can leave any uncovered material radioactive for 48 hours after contact.

How many raiders are there in the first place?

And in other questions, the signs at spawn implied that there were supposed to be supplies at the faction's bases. I explored both the mutant start (by accident, while looking for the vault start) and Vault 127, and aside from some med-packs (cake, placed) and supplies (melons, also placed), neither of which I took because they were admin-made, there was nothing. Are there supposed to be starter items there? And it also seems as though the Vault's nether portal has been griefed, FYI.

The supplies are the melons and cake, it's just food to get you started so take what you like, we always replenish them.
And no it's not griefed, we just haven't turned it on.

RP radiation would be terible lol. A plugin is the only way to do it. It all depends on the plugin.

We tried a plugin that would add radiation and it killed every player, plant, and animal, so that's a no go. Sorry
    Quote from Toastmaestro

I was thinking that it might be interesting if a plugin was added that allowed players to only see what a player was saying if they were in the proximity of the that player. It would be more transparent the farther away it was. I don't know if this has been made before, or if it's even possible to make. I feel it would be irritating for some things, though.

We have a plugin that let's you see local chat within around 100 blocks, still trying to see how far dowb we should scale it though.

Yeah, the first one is a beginner one. Daniel/Sargeantbutters ran it with all iron gear, and he blazed through it :l

The second one i did while no one was on. It's decently hard.

    ...We need unique mobs XD

I know but the requires external clients and everyone voted no on them.
