posted a message on Forge or Modloader
I've been messing aroud with both now and like you said just blocks, items and ores are ok with modloader. But I want to make another dimension and stuff so I guess I'll just start learning 'from scratch' again with forge :)

posted a message on The stupidest thing you've ever done in survival?
My stupidest action would probably be throwing away diamonds. I had a full inventory and spotted some emeralds so I threw out the diamonds thinking it was lapis... :Lava: thought it were nice diamonds :(

posted a message on Forge or Modloader
It's been a while since I've modded and the last time I did was in early Beta with Modloader, but I want to get started again. Now I'm wondering what's the best one to pick? I heard a lot of people say that I should definitely go with Forge, but others recommend Modloader. So if someone could help me out with the differences and/or pros and cons of both that would be nice :)

There have been platform elevators around, but I believe none of them work anymore with the current Minecraft versions. Unfortunately I'm also not good enough to help you out with building one/providing hints or tips.

5 - Only wither skeletons drop them so not that cool.

All mobs drop them, though very rarely.

I like all of the new features, especially the anvil falling down on and damaging mobs :D
Fun fact, the anvil never gets damaged more than "Slightly Damaged Anvil" even when dropped from y=256 :P

posted a message on Command Block and Commands
    Quote from NoobJerk

Well if you know how many groups there are, e.g. you Assign them into the group yourself with the command blocks, you can simply use @a[l=n,lm=n] Where the n ís the level-group you want them to be in.

I dont know if you can level up from monsters even if keepInventory is on but if you can theoretically assign people only in groups 1, 3, 5 and have a clock run on your server which automatically changes players level back by using /xp -1L @a[l=n+1,lm=n+1] Where n would be 1, 3, 5...

Please note that this might now work because i have no access to minecraft at the moment and all of this came "out of my head" just now...

That works if you'd make sure that people can't level above their groups level+1 (e.g. if you're in group 1, the clock should run fast enough to prevent the occurence that someone from that group reaches lvl 3)

Currently, using anything besides diamond and cilcking the done checkmark will corrupt your world file and net this error anytime you attempt to enter the world.

Not true (at least not for me), I was succesful using a :Iron: , :Diamond: and an emerald.

posted a message on Is Minecraft really worth the money?
    Quote from kalajel

Seeing that the game is technically still in beta in everything but name, no. I'd wait for the "real" finished product if I were you...

Clearly you are not a true Minecraftian. Minecraft is already out of Beta. The official release took place in Las Vegas at the Minecon November 18th, 2011. And for the 'real' finished product, well you go wait under a rock forever. Minecraft will never be completely done.

It is really worth the money. Your whole family will enjoy it, kids and adults. It's very addicting and once you fall in love with it, you never want to let it go.
Besides, who doesn't want :Diamond: ^^

I don't mean to be rude or anything, but that's the reality.
