All mobs drop them, though very rarely.
I like all of the new features, especially the anvil falling down on and damaging mobs
Fun fact, the anvil never gets damaged more than "Slightly Damaged Anvil" even when dropped from y=256

That works if you'd make sure that people can't level above their groups level+1 (e.g. if you're in group 1, the clock should run fast enough to prevent the occurence that someone from that group reaches lvl 3)

Clearly you are not a true Minecraftian. Minecraft is already out of Beta. The official release took place in Las Vegas at the Minecon November 18th, 2011. And for the 'real' finished product, well you go wait under a rock forever. Minecraft will never be completely done.
It is really worth the money. Your whole family will enjoy it, kids and adults. It's very addicting and once you fall in love with it, you never want to let it go.
Besides, who doesn't want ^^
