I feel like there's something I'm missing with armor modifiers, some of them require 3-4 items and say you need to use the tool forge to add the modification, but there's no option on the tool forge that allows you to use that many items for a modification. Does anybody know what I'm missing? And it specifically says tool forge, not the tinker table.
I looked around for about an hour and didn't find a definite answer really, so I've decided to just ask myself. My PC has two GTX690's allowing for 4-way SLI, the problem is with Minecraft, it doesn't feel like using SLI, which is understandable, but my question is, is this possible? I ask because I want to run some 512x512 Texture packs, but for some unknown reason my computer can't handle them with the optifine settings I have running. If I could get SLI support, this wouldn't be a problem. Yes, my SLI is working before it's asked, I've tested it to make sure. I'll also add that it's not a RAM problem or a CPU problem, those are covered as well pretty much. Some may find it extremely absurd, but the overall intention of this PC's purpose was to be able to run anything the Minecraft community threw at it, and I'm hoping with some help it can do just that.
Okay, I've looked around for information on this, or if it's known, and while I've gotten a lot of stuff back about light level glitches in the game, after very light searching I really haven't heard talk about this so I figured I'd mention it, if people know about it that's alright, if not, then okie dokie too.
Anyways, I was messing around with mob farm and whatnot when I came across a bug involving light levels and water. When I was blocking off all light to come into the mob farm, I waited around and noticed nothing happening, I figured maybe it was outdated or whatnot, but after discovering this I realized that wasn't the problem. I broke into the farm to see what was up and I notice after closing the hole back up that I had broken in, that the light level didn't really go down much at all. After testing a bit I removed the water and all of a sudden the light level dropped to 0. So as of now, the only way for me to get into that farm without causing the water to retain a light level is to break into it where sunlight won't make contact with the water. It's really only a minor inconvenience but I figured I'd mention it and see if anyone else has encountered this as well.
I'm not sure what exactly, but this is conflicting with something in Optifine that's causing the game to crash at the start. I've tried both Optifine HD A7 Multicore + AA and Optifine HD B2 Multicore with no luck. I'll try a more standard Optifine for now but if the problem persists I'm kind of stuck. I don't have any other mods installed at the moment.
Edit: After looking at the error logs, the problem seems to be coming in the adz.class file
Is there any way to get the patcher's better grass to work with modloader? The other Better Grass mod I used which was compatible got discontinued with 1.6 and I use modloader heavily.
I have a small problem involving mobs on my server, specifically Skeletons. For some reason skeletons don't seem to be shooting arrows, it's like they're invisible arrows and they don't make a sound. I have Zan's server wrapper, planes, and Industrial Craft installed on the server.
EDIT: the problem also seems to be effecting the arrows as well.
Alrightie, I'm having a very strange problem and I don't exactly know if it's been brought up before. At first the server recognized me as the operator and gave me full access to all the commands, after a few resets though it now only gives me access to 3 pages of commands, even though it still recognizes me as the operator. I even did a fresh restart of the entire server with no luck.
Is there a way to increase the clients limit on mods? I have most of Flan's installed but once I add SDK's I get the too many indices error. Should I do a fresh re-install of minecraft?
I have some feedback, if I may. I do not expect this to be received well, but frankly, I don't care. It's a matter of opinion, and this is highly subjective.
I don't think it's right to call the "side grass" feature "better grass". I don't find it in any way "better". I find it worse. It's ugly.
You should call it side grass. "better grass" carries an implication of superiority. It also is not as technically accurate as "side grass". Side grass tells you all you need to know. It's grass, on the sides of the blocks. Better grass? Doesn't tell you much. What, did you improve the way grass looks on the TOP of a block? Is it like "wild grass"? Is it grass you can frolic around in, barefoot? What is it? How is it better?
Side grass explains it perfectly, and doesn't constantly slam the subjective superiority into the face of those who think it looks stupid (like me).
You're putting way too much thought into a simple name choice. It's not like being called "Better Grass" is going to start some sort of tyrannical revolution. I highly doubt the "grass bourgeois" are going to implement heavy taxes on you and abuse their almighty better grass title to make you do unspeakable things which will lead to some "Reign of Grass Terror".
This may have been brought up before, the lack of a search engine really de-motivates me from searching through 155 pages but nonetheless I feel that these Steampunk textures and style would work amazingly well with compatible textures for the Industrial Craft mod. I don't know what it is about the Industrial Craft but it just screams a need to be Steampunkified, yes I'm going to use that word. I would try it myself but I'm a dreadful artist. It just seemed like a thought that should be thrown out there, to me at least.
Hello there, I have no idea if this has been addressed but I'm having an odd compatibility issue with Betterer Grass and iChun's Portal Gun mod. Simply put when I install this mod, the portals will no longer appear on blocks. Is there a potential fix for this?

I don't know why, but this makes me sad.

That is exactly what was wrong, thank you. :smile.gif:
