I had an epifany. My theory is that the reason Jeb added sandstone blocks is that he might be working on egypt tomb/sand dungeon type things. He would have no other use for the hyeroglyphs! I want to see if people think the same.
I actually agree with this to be honest. I am so sick fo working my butt off to gain exp the old fashioned way (no exp farming) only to have it thrown in my face with a pathetic choice system.
Seriously if im magically inclined to the point of making weapons special surely I can choose which speciality I want....I have never heard of a wizard casting a spell and hoping its the right one.....no its a very precise art and in this case it should be too. You can keep the randomization if need be but at least label them so we can see what were getting then we can choose whether to take it or just try again for another attempt at something good!
Actually, there is Wild Magic, from the Forgotten Realms campaign setting in Dungeons and Dragons. Spellcasters would attempt to cast a spell, and then would revert to a percentile chart, which had many interesting, random effects. Many of which were "cast another spell randomly." I like it, for the flavor.
As for the enchantment bit. I'm okay with it. You rack up points over time, and get to trade them in for something randomly useful. Perhaps not great, but better than nothing.
I think what happened was a huge slime spawned in an area to small to sustain it, as a result, all of the resulting slimes died. It's happened to me, once. I only got, like, eight slime balls out of it, though.
1. Go to a grassy area.
2. Build an enclosure that is tall enough for you to stand in, and wide enough for you to use bonemeal on grass. I recommend a 6x6x3 area.
3. Block off all light sources(You can place 1 redstone torch to be able to see).
4. Use bonemeal on a block of grass.
The result: all of the tall grass and flowers spring forth from the ground, and are immediately ready to pick up, without having to hit them in some way. With a large supply of bonemeal, one can easily get stacks of flowers, and seeds in seconds.
It makes red and yellow dye gathering quite easy. :biggrin.gif:

Flat plains biome, with a variety of neutral wildlife, a decent suppy of wood, and some aesthetically pleasing water areas.

But for some reason, the doors want to stay n the "open" position, and using the pressure plates, or the button cause them to shut, and then re-open.
That's what my setup looks like, what am I doing wrong?
