posted a message on WorldPainter - graphical & interactive map creator/generator
Hey, I'm hoping this doesn't get flooded in other posts, but here's my go at two suggestions. NOTE: I'm not at all good with any sort of coding, so I don't know how easy this would be to implement. Nevertheless, I've been using this program for about a year and there are two things that I would love to see added.

The first: could we possibly get an option to automatically set brushes as overlays when they are selected? That way I can "estimate" where the mountain etc. will be. The overlay would just sit inside of the current cursor box/circle.

Second: a tool to automatically generate user-customizable beaches along coasts. Now I did search for any posts with the term "beach" and I read them all but I'm convinced my idea differs from those before me. I know there are plenty of beach tool but what I'm suggesting is a loose-definition of beach. Anyway, my little idea would function like this: with this tool, areas of land with adjacent water/lava would be affected. This tool would bring up a dialog box (or use defined variables in a tool) and the user would be able to input the "length" of the beach (how many blocks inward from the ocean/lava ocean the tool would replace) and the block type(s) and biome of the replaced area. I'm guessing this would be pretty rough to code but it would be fancy to see something like this.

In any case, thank you so much for this amazing program. I apologize for the wall of text and hope I was clear. Have a lovely day. If I don't reply, I'm probably in class or studying (damned finals week is looming).

posted a message on Pink Sheep Found
On my friend's server he and I play on, our spawn area is literally full of pink sheep. I'm not lying. We found maybe twenty in the first hour of playing and they were all within ~100 blocks of spawn. If we kill them, more pink sheep spawn. It's crazy.

I would try a different type of wood like birch or dark oak or even a mix of different planks and log types but if you have to use oak, I would prefer the stone brick over oak wood.

posted a message on I DONT LIKE MOJANG
What were these "utter screw-ups" and "bugs and problems that simply shouldn't exist?" Seriously lol if you hate the game so much, why put so many hours into it? I once played Halo Wars for about two hours, realized I didn't like it much, and haven't played it since. I didn't put thirty more hours into it.

posted a message on Armour/ Weapon/ Tool Mount
I've never gotten a virus from a mod, especially not Bibliocraft (where those item holders are from). I understand a want for things to mount weapons and armor on but there really isn't a need to have a suit of armor just to show off when there are only 5 sets in vanilla Minecraft. Just use the mod if you want them. No support.

posted a message on A recording option on MCPE
Wouldn't there be the issue of performance though? Plus there are usually cables that run from phones to HDMI cables, and you could just run a capture card in there. I think streaming would be possible, but recording is a lot more taxing on a system and I don't think many mobile devices could handle that.

posted a message on New sound effects?
I really don't know. I didn't like them at first but now that I'm more used to them, they just seem less intrusive to me, so I'm leaning towards liking them better. I do appreciate the greater variety now though.

posted a message on /setblock Creations (/setblock doors, spawners, buildings, art, anything made with /setblock)
    Quote from LordPriford

Today I was messing around with the /setblock command and created a spawner that can spawn any item and any amount of it.
For example, This command will spawn a spawner that spawns about 4 stacks of 10 diamond shovels.

    /setblock ~ ~1 ~ minecraft:mob_spawner 0 replace {EntityId:Item,SpawnData:{Item:{id:277,Count:10}}}

Also I made a command for spawning a chest with named items inside it.
    The command for that is:
    /setblock ~ ~1 ~ minecraft:chest 0 keep {Items:[{id:276,Count:7,tag:{display:{Name:"Diamond Sword",Lore:[Go and Fight!]}}}]}

I was trying to replace a dispenser so that if it emptied, it would be replaced (comparator connected to a NOT gate with a command block) with a dispenser with a custom, named, lored, colored piece of leather armor. I kept getting a crash and had to MCEdit entities out to get the world to load but THIS just saved me. Thank you so, so very much, you wonderful person.

posted a message on How to make $50,000 as a 11 year old?
    Quote from DFBlocks

I'm working on a book that I estimate 50 pages long. (Currently on page 3) But hey you got to try. If you don't you'll be one of the 99% of people that make $999,999 so close!
    But really I'm trying.
And also I think a next gen arcade is a better fit.

So estimating the average 250 words a page on a typical word processor, that's 12500 words. Got yourself what fancy folks call a novellette.. Those go for at least $60000 a pop, so sell just one and you'll be fine!

But seriously, this thread is hilarious. But if you seriously want to write, go ahead and do it. However, be advised many people who write aren't so very successful. Plus with your only motivation to write being money, I'm doubting significantly you will produce much anything people want to read. You aren't the only person on this earth trying to write for money.

Anyway, if you want writing tips, there are plenty of subreddits for that. But you're 11. You are more than likely incapable of producing anything worthy of any large-scale recognition.

Do understand that I say this all because I love you. But I have to watch out for you. MOST IMPORTANTLY, why do you need fifty grand? And you need to be more specific about your ideas. "A story" or "a shop" isn't specific enough to warrant any real advice but drugs or the black market. But seriously, a lung can sell for eighty grand so go for it.

Zane above is right. The game is different on the two devices and you'll have to pay another time for the Xbox version.

posted a message on Stained Clay [Not Hardened Clay]
    Quote from Badprenup

I actually really like the current uncooked clay texture. And the thing about new blocks is they can change the texture to be whatever they want. Plus this is a building game first and foremost. There is no such thing as unnecessary extra blocks.

I just feel like the current clay texture looks too much like 'random noise', sort of like the old gravel texture. I just don't see the need to add new blocks where we already have hardened stained clay. The two would be much alike and it just seems like an unnecessary step to obtain hardened stained clay. I understand the goodness of having more blocks to build with, but this would be two versions of what is almost the exact same block.

posted a message on Item idea
Well... considering the game doesn't have any mechanics that would run the vehicle, like motors, I don't see how this would make any sense in the game's context. It just doesn't "fit" in Minecraft, since there really is no advanced technology. Plus, you have horses and donkeys and mules to do what a car does: move quickly over terrain and/or hold stuff. No support. Sorry. There are mods for this though. Try those.
