    When you installed the vehicles, you overwrite the planes. Go back, and on the planes, drag the stuff inside the ITEM folder into the ITEM folder at the minecraft.jar

    I request some help here.

    I was cleaning out mods that I didn't like, and when I was done, Minecraft would crash. :Notch:
    I decided I would have delete my minecraft.jar floder and re-install the mods I had (Portal, Vehicles, Planes)
    But something strange is happening and I am placing all the jar files correctly and everything, but when I try and craft anything of the plane mod, It doesnt show up. If I try and open a chest where I had spare plane items, minecraft crashes. I tried opening the error test thing that the OP put up but my browser is not able to open it.
    EDIT: In the SDK original post it says its windows only
    Neither the Vehicles, or Planes mods are working, have not tried the Portal.
    Is there something I could be doing wrong? Previously I never deleted the META-INF folder and it still worked, so I haven't deleted it.

    Could be a game mode so not everyone who likes it HAS to play minecraft like that. You could go into this, or the classic game. Anyways, this is just an idea.

    Some of you may not like it, some may love it, but here it is anyways.
    You begin as a pre-historic-ish character, your swords is now a club and you are limited to certain actions, meaning you cant go around making redstone circuits and all that advanced stuff. You must craft a bookcase (or various) in order to begin investigating. When you are investigating you get certain goals you must complete, like craft this many bookcases, get this much wood, and stuff like that. as you procede with evolution your club goes to a spear, then a sword, then a bayonet, and finally a lightsaber. You can still make iron spear or diamond spear and stuff like that.

    During some stages, some materials get bonuses such as sandstone in the prehistoric ages for the Egyptian pyramids, and stuff like that), these bonuses may be:
    easier to craft
    better blast resistence
    or stackable

    You would work your way up from pre-historic, to B.C.E, to early eleventh century, to medieval ages (horses, castles, swords), to renaissance (art, paintings, all that), to the age of discovery (ships, gold, iron) to the early 1900s (cars, industry), to World War II (weapons, planes, bombs), to the 21st centuary (jets, drills) and maybe even to the future (plasma weapons, lightsabers, UFO's, and other stuff)
    I think this is a good idea because it gives a use to the bookcases and allows MANY things to be added into minecraft like cars, planes, helicopters, boats, etc. This are achieved by investigating. What do you guys think?

    It does. Ive got all of them on my Mac. The OP has even Mac tutorials for most.

    Check in your minecraft.jar folder the GUI folder in it has the plane file.

    Ive had the Planes mod since 1.4_01 and I loved it from my very first flight. I designed my whole world around it, building a runway, hangar, control tower, and those Y shaped things to line up the plane for landing. When I saw your other mods I immediately downloaded them and came up with some ideas.

    For the mood mod, I live in a huge tundra biome, is there any way that one can "heat up" if you are indoors or near a fire or light or something? Is there any way to disable the auto render distance? My CPU lags if its on Far so that is a slight problem.

    For the Vehicles mod:
    I LOVE the car physics, the possible drifts fuel my mind with endless possibilities. some suggestions could be:
    -Ramps, to go up or downhill
    -Track, smooth surface where the car goes faster

    Kudos on four brilliant mods :Diamond:

    Thats what I have, but since long current bridges need gravity, the place where I start is higher up than where I finish. I could make the same thing from Tower B to Tower A, but I would lose wood each time I break the boat, what I need is basically a looping boat lift

    I have 2 towers, lets call them Tower A, and Tower B. I have a 3-meter-wide, current canal going from Tower A to Tower B. What I want is to be able to get the boat after my journey, back to where I started my voyage in Tower A. Since I have dropped one step every 7 meters on the canal I can't place a return cana straight away. I must use some sort of looping water elevator to get there, Am I on the right track? Any other ways of getting the boat 8 or so blocks higher on tower B so I can have a canal going back? Thanks for the help :biggrin.gif:


    Thats the end of the canal, i think I'll need to have a water elevator installed there, any other suggestions? Tips on making water elevators? I can't ever seem to get them to work..
