posted a message on Need Help Locating End Portal

Wouldn't it be better to go it from above ground? I haven't hunted for a portal in years, but the way I did it was just throwing the ender eyes above ground and they flew to the portal until it was directly under you. At that point the ender eyes went directly into the ground and so you knew where it exactly was.

It's not as complicated or "different" like other player's skins, but it has a backstory to it. It means something to me and so I've kept it like this for years.

Nah dude, once you understand the basics, it becomes fun. I don't know how to make crazy big or complicated contraptions, but I know the basics and can use it to my advantage. Sure my designs are very inefficient, but they work :D

posted a message on What Should I Make YouTube Vids About?

Not sure if any help guides are needed at this point tbh. There are guides for almost everything related to minecraft computer help already on youtube.

But if you want to make just guides, then make a guide on building. There aren't proper guides about that yet. I don't mean a "how to make this castle", or "how to make this exact house", I mean an actual how to build video. Like what to do in certain situations, where to build, how to build, what materials to use, and how to just begin. Lots of players still don't know the basics yet.

posted a message on I Am Certain My Mojang Account is Being Hacked

Secure your e-mail. Use gmail or something that has 2 step verification. With 2 step verification, you enter a code that you get from your phone or some other device and then you can get into the e-mail account. This way nobody but you can get into your e-mail to mess things up.

    Apart from that:

    - Keep a good and strong password

    - Have the questions that you get asked by mojang to log on to minecraft.net be different and hard to guess

    - Never share your account with anyone, not even your best friend. Even if you can trust them, you can't trust that their computer isn't infected.

    - Don't give personal information relating to your account to anyone. Like your previous passwords, answers to the questions that you get asked while logging in on minecraft.net, when you made the account, what e-mail you use to login with, and so on.

And most importantly, secure your computer.

    - Don't download stuff from strange places like minecraft6.net or whatever. If you need a resourcepack, adventure map, mod, or whatever, use official sources like the minecraftforums (this website), curse, planet minecraft, and stuff like that. Stuff you get from minecraftdl or minecraft6 and whatever does give you what you want, but it also usually comes packaged with some malware or adware.

    - Install malwarebytes (in addition to your main anti-virus program that protects your computer in real time) and scan your computer. Malwarebytes is a very good way to clean your computer if you think it's infected.

Yeah, a lot of players have motivation problems with keeping 1 main world. And it's hard to give a proper answer since the solution can be different for everyone, but i'll give it a shot.

The first thing you can try is by using the guide in my signature below for making survival more fun (or click here). It helped me keep a world for a while and made survival more fun. But that doesn't work for things like trying to make a crazy big world with everything in it like the youtubers you mentioned. It's not a bad start though, definitely try it.

Another thing you can try is to make fun things. Instead of building and doing work all day, make some games that you can play every once in a while. Golf, parkour, one of the many tnt games, hoard mobs from a mob farm and make a mob arena, races using boats or horses, flying course for the elytra and so on. Making games will be a good idea because instead of just looking at it after finishing it, you can actually do it over and over. Try to get creative with them too. For example, instead of just having a 1 lane parkour course, try to make them connected or make it a themed parkour. Lots of ways to make all of those things.

You can also make a portfolio or like an album of your world. Take some screenshots of the empty world and start with that. Then add screenshots and add a little line of text explaining the progress. You can then share this with others on this forum. But the main point of this is for you to see the progress. Reading that album over after a while might make you appreciate all the stuff you've done and give you motivation to make it even better. Maybe even take screenshots of a large area over and over after improving it and make a compilation out of it. Showing off progress like that is nice too.

You see those journals players make on the forums? That's an excellent way to keep motivated to stick to your world. Show players what you've done and reading what they write back will make you want to continue. You should definitely try that as well.

But the main thing to note is that it's just a game. You're not a prisoner or a servant to the game. If you get bored, try to take a break and player other games. There are thousands of them for you to try. Maybe after playing something else you'll miss minecraft and want to try it again. You should be playing other things anyways since playing just 1 game will get boring. And you can get some inspiration for builds from playing other games too.

For those of us who don't know what a "world like Etho's or Cubfan's" is, could you explain what exactly you want?

Do you lose motivation on continuing the world, or do you not get far because you're not sure of what to do next?
