    oh, that part. actually I find that interesting. Would it change your opinion if it didn't make you immune to other people's thorns, but just resistant? And also if it depended on the level of the enchant?
    *facepalm* Just because the thorns enchantment is an armor enchantment doesn't mean it needs to reduce damage taken by something. Are you also going to suggest that the knockback enchantment does extra damage to big mobs just because it is a sword enchantment that does not increase damage?

    First time I found diamonds, there was a deposit that held about 4 5 diamonds. I mined 3 or 4, getting to the last one, and an enderman took the last block. Me, being the rage gamer I am, decided to chase it down on top of this ravine with lava at the bottom. I caught up with him, hit him-oblivious to the fact that he teleports-and he smacked me from behind knocking me into the lava and I ended up with nothing.

    I didn't play for a solid month after that.

    Anyway, very OP. Passive to the player, but only attacks hostile mobs? No thanks. Both cacti and pumpkins are very easy to farm once you get started, so it'd be easy to just get a bunch of Cactus Golems and let them take care of the creepers/skeletons/zombies/etc for you!
    It does not attack creepers, just like the other golems.

    Also, it is only passive to the player if they created it. If it spawned by itself, it is neutral.

    But even if the player created it, they would still take damage if they needed to kill it (unless they had a bow, and were willing to use some arrows to kill it).

    Please, next time you criticize a suggestion, at least read the whole post first.

    But the problem I see with this is, what is the point? It isn't a naturally occurring mob, you have to make it. And the other two golems have somewhat of a purpose, what is the purpose of this thing?
    The purpose of this thing is to defend you if you don't have enough iron to make an iron golem, or if a dessert village is to small to have an iron golem spawn.

    I have an idea for a new golem: the cactus golem!

    Stats/behavior: It is a utility mob with 20 health (10 hearts). It has 1 melee attack that does 3 damage. If you use a melee attack against it you take 1 damage (because it is a cactus). It takes no damage from cactus blocks. Cactus golems are hostile to zombies, skeletons, endermen, zombie pigmen, blazes, ghasts, slimes, magma cubes, silverfish, withers, ender dragons, witches, spiders, and cave spiders. They are neutral to all other mobs. they are also passive to the player if the player made them. They are as fast as the player's walking speed.

    Spawn: They spawn when the player places 2 cactus blocks with one pumpkin on top.
    Note: pumpkins can not currently be placed on cactus blocks.
    They also spawn in dessert villages (one cactus golem per 2 villagers). Iron golems will still spawn. :)

    Appearance:

    Something similar to the image above, but with a taller head.

    Drops: They drop 0-1 cactus blocks. when killed with fire or a fire aspect sword, they drop 1-2 cactus green dye. Their drops are NOT affected by looting.

    Appearance: a black sphere with holes all around it
    Diet: small organisms
    Abilites: jet (release air out of one of the holes to go fastly in the opposite direction) suction (sucking other objects and organisms like a vacuum)
    Attack: releasing poisonous gases out of the holes that sometimes hurt, slow, or confuse other organisms
    Defence: closing all of the holes and inflating to cushioning damage, and prevent poisonous substances for affecting orbithon
    Extra: it's holes can stretch up to 5 time their size
