Malcolm, that is a very very nice pack you're constructing so far, I will enjoy seeing the progression.

Ringo, that cobble is delightful... I have reason to believe you shouldn't need to have another recreation of it.

Also got some work done on my GUI for CT&M, had to rethink it, still trying for a clean transparent look that will compliment PvE and PvP players while keeping some aesthetics. Also a side note, if you're working on GUI with any moderate resolution monitor, you shouldn't need anything larger than the equivalent of an x64 for the highest size... Anything higher than that is problematic...

I would say that statement should be a great deterrent for anyone whom is interested in doing anything for you. By your statement you're assuming that the person doing free work is then obliged to bring it to full completion. That is not the case. Volunteers are many but they choose what they want to do and can shrug at a nanosecond's notice. That's the whole thing about a voluntary service.

Don't like it, don't ask for volunteers and seek out commissioned work from an artist. If you're trying to pay for something to be done then you might have a bit more leeway in the argument.

Happy, at this point you're looking in the gift horse's mouth. Don't get bent out of shape if someone tries something, and then backs out because the level of work involved is more than the compensation. That's the same kind of attitude that makes it very difficult for artists to get their fair share for their trade. And a pre-empitive 'no, exposure doesn't equal money...'

posted a message on Can Somebody make me a recource pack for free?

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news... The likelihood of you finding anyone to make a full resource pack for no cost is going to be about as rare as finding a rainforest on Pluto.

However there is a ton of great packs here, just give the resource pack subforum a stroll.

posted a message on I'm looking for a weapons, armor, and tools only texture pack and a shader pack.

Marcus, that site is (possibly) infringing on multiple people's copyright. I recommend seeing if that pack is either on this forum or planetminecraft. From what I seen it was just a random mediafire link... could be an outdated pack, could be packed with malware, yeneverknew...

(of course removing the link there too would be a nice gesture)

This is still copyright infringement using Mojang's graphics then applying a filter... Besides, it looks atrocious. I would suggest getting into actually making your own graphics from scratch and make something worth while.

posted a message on Minecraft PvP Packs Needed!

Any pack can be technically a PVP pack... you just have to use it while playing against other players. If you are talking about those same youtube scrub packs that are all Vattic's Faithful with some crudly tools thrown in, you won't find those here. Although there are enormous amounts of very satisfying packs to play with on the Resource Pack forum.

posted a message on Changing sky colour?

There's your problem... can't have both... either one or the other. Optifine and MCPatcher can't work in tandem... Used to at one point... but that was way back in beta and I can't recall the versions...

But the reason for this is that Optifine's manipulation of the sky color is being conflicted with MCPatcher's manipulation of the sky color...

posted a message on Watch out modders, you can be next

The issue you're stating is about who's the original author and holds copyright, If you code, script, paint, draw, sculpt, take a photo, construct, you hold the copyright to it. End of story. The Licence just dictates how you want your work distributed and what rules that people are expected to follow while using your work.

If someone has stolen your work, report them.

posted a message on Connected glass texturepack?

Connected glass is only available through use of Optifine or MCPatcher, you'll have to find a way to install optifine/MCPatcher then the modpack in order to use a pack with which has CTM on their glass blocks,

However if you are unable to use Optifine/MCPatcher while developing your modpack, you will not be able to use the CTM effect in Optifine/MCPatcher. Sorry but that's how the cookie crumbles.

posted a message on What mods are popular nowadays?

    Biomes o' Plenty's still a thing.

The only issue is that most mods haven't updated up to 1.8 from 1.7 due to the massive coding changes that came with it. One thing to look for is to look up one of the popular Modpacks, ie. Tekkit, Feed the Beast, Leo's Modpacks... These modpacks probably would have some mods that overlap each other and give you a few ideas of what mods are most used by proxy.

    I hope that helps.

Very nice on the subtle moss there. It's visible but not like 'Neon Lights 2mm from your face' visible. The bed is warm and inviting, If you were plotting on doing any model format stuff... Might I suggest adding a bit taller headboard and maybe raising the pillow, however that is your call on that :D

Good news! Boats have good texture mapping now! Each cuboid has a separate place in the texture.

That's good, I was worried there for a moment.

posted a message on poll what download services should i use for mods, texture packs, maps, ect

Well with that whole 'cache up' download method, it doesn't allow me the dialog box to tell it where to put the file, usually fills my desktop with all my downloads... although that was a few (5-6) months back since using it.

Also thanks Lemon for that info!
