    I find torch spam a little ugly. I would prefer some better way of stopping monsters from spawning within my fort.

    Maybe some other way of making territory safe would be good that does not have an obvious graphical effect? Maybe some sort of rune like from that awesome mod?

    maybe you need to sacrifice a goat and 3 chickens once a week I dunno, just not torch spam

    I don't find it that random, get yourself some diamond armour and sword, keep a well stocked larder of ham steaks, try not to go out at night.

    another one is to avoid digging the floor out from under yourself... that's not risk avoidant, it's common sense.

    Finally, if you want to keep your gear more safe, keep some of it in a chest so it doesn't disappear when you die

    thanks for the tips guys, I'm kind of sick of snow now (as are my friends) so I think I'll look for a mod to switch it off. Is there any way of removing existing snow as well? Or does turning it off stop it respawning as well?

    Ok, so I made a server and it started in a snowy area, which is pretty cool, and I've enjoyed it for a while, but so much white can get tedious after a while.

    1 - Is it possible to walk out of the biome? will my server eventually generate some regular biome area?

    2 - Will the winter biome change with time? Is it seasonal?

    Just checking, I've been playing a bit of inf dev, LOVE the new above ground structures, very interesting to look at, got a really nice little grotto lake like thing that looked kind of like a volcano had a wedge cut out of it and a lake formed in the bottom.

    Been digging around for a while and haven't seen any underground structures yet, it occurs to me that they may not exist, would that be correct?

    Also, Iron looks pretty rare

    I like the idea of crafting sticks from shrubs rather than wooden planks... I like the idea of needing an axe to chop a tree trunk... I don't so much like the idea of needing to bust up your spawn house to make that axe though.

    An interesting idea, make a bit of space between the cubes that is too small to see as players but is enough to achieve wrap around at the size used. Maybe put an undiggable floor at the bottom to completely escape the center gravity problem.

    Still, I don't see why a real sphere is needed when you could just have wrap around space to model the same abstraction.

    With the size of infmap it's probably not goign to impact anyones game anyway
