    Quote from GerbilCrab475

AdFly has to be one of the most insecure websites on Earth. Just this day it almost gave me a Virus by auto downloading a false virus protection program while I was trying to download one of my favorite mods.

At least you can use adfly, I hate it but most of my mods and texture updates are adfly based , as well as mods/textures that I would like. Unfortunately adfly must hate me back because I can't DL a #@&%ing thing from them , the site wont let me. That leaves me with a lot of things that I'll never be able to complete, or just pointless without the proper texture to make it look right. I've been stuck like this for the last 3-4 updates, hopelessly waiting for direct DL.

    Adfly is for $#!+ . :steve_rage: ...... :steve_tearful:

you don't need the modding-api to mod minecraft1.3 like it has been done allways. but it maybe a bit more complicated since you have a server (logic) and the client (optical) part

    your first game :D
i don't realy remember my first but it was something around "the secret of monkey island"
if minecraft takes all your time, then you didn't play skyrim yet :)

    I used to play Skyrim......
but then I took an arrow to the knee. B)

Whut, you thought I could just let that lie there? ^_^

Not really unfamiliar with other vidya games, Minecraft is just my current addiction. (for the last year or two)
Been playing home vidya games since Pong was on the Atari system. (should have said REALLY oldfag here)
I think Minecraft has a universal appeal because its continuously evolving, has a variety of skins and mods, and you don't have to buy 'points' to keep building or get new stuff to add to it. Plus when was the last game this good that provided the ability for everyone playing to have so much input on the games development.

Not to mention you can rule the villigers like gods.....................angry gods! <_<
    lol

i am the only one who allways thinks of MechWarrior3 while reading MW3 ?

Your not the only one. (oldfag here)
That was the first game that I got on my first compiter. Had to get the special massive custom joystick/comtroller as well.
Almost nothing beats Mechwarrior. (I reapeat Almost) imo
Now Minecraft takes up all my free time ..... that and porn, lol.
I can't wait 'til a more stable snapshot or the actual update. I have too much stuff in my worlds for me to screw it up at this point.

Make it feel like a post-apocalyptic world almost lol..

I know , right! I'm going to try one of the apocalyptic texture packs and see how it looks. Go all Thundar the Barbarian on it with like a 'mystic temple' on one of the floating land masses, and maybe some collapsed modern skyscrapers overgrown with vines and all that.

You installed the spheres mod and removed it. Simple as that. The spheres mod changes the world generation while it is installed. Any chunk created after the mod was removed will cause this. It happened to me once.
To be really honest I loved the effect.

Thanks that's a nice theory but this is how it loaded first time every time, and it's still installed. That was my bad, I didn't give enough info in the description, but I'm unsure what I'm dealing with. I took a bunch of screenshots when first playing, and then restarted the game several times because I thought 'chunk error'. I've seen them before, I get those flat slices of terrain change on every update at the edge of unexplored areas. I've got these near my spawn dome and randomly scattered in the 'dome grid' (for lack of a better description)and I've had no updates since installing. That being said I now know that it's a glitch, albeit a cool glitch, and not normal.

Thank you, you were very helpful.

I'm going to make a new world and see if it happens again.

On the whole I'm generally against mods. First time trying a texture pack I wiped out my game and four worlds. After reading extensively on texture packs and installation and what not I got brave and tried the few that I really liked. Success ! Mods seemed like some thing that would make Minecraft some thing completely different than the came that I'd grown to know and love,(or at the very least irrevocably trash my game, cause my computer to burst into flames, etc.).
However I found a mod that didn't change game play or alter my existing worlds and wanted to try it. Again lots of reading, study, forum searches and many hours of videos later, I felt confident enough to make this attempt.

Therein comes my query. Has any one had this happen or did I do something wrong. I'm not saying that I don't like it ,It's just not what I expected based on descriptions and video reviews and such. I would post video but I don't have the software, I don't know how it works, insert lame third excuse here.

You got your spheres in my minecraft.....

You got your Minecraft in my Biosphere

Gives new meaning to the term 'embedding'.

It's like a bad teleporter accident.

    So cleanly divided.

    Bridging the gap.

    Welcome to the Jungle.

    Got a ladder?

Mines are easy to find. (check dat spider spawner)

These night shots are just pretty.

Seriously if anyone can tell me if this is normal or I have just really f...ouled up in an interesting and unusual way, let me know because I was under the impression that this mod was supposed to be nothing but spheres.
I haven't seen this in any other demos or walk throughs and just would like some input on anyone's thoughts about what's taken place here.
